Do we have to post multiple times everyday just to keep our rank?
I mean, might as well keep with the spirit of the game. :/
Additionally, if you want to discourage one-star bandits, rig it so x amount of one-stars given actually hurts your community ranking. That'll stop it.

A: Contrary to popular belief, these are 1. rare and 2. have very little effect on the rating or ranking systems. The only thing it hurts is the bandits wrist. It takes 20 1 star ratings to cause a post to be hidden by the default system. Additionally we are putting measures in to be able to track and even "title" these posters so everyone will know who they are. When we findsomeone who abuses the rating systemwe do lower their "rating" weight to prevent abuse.
Thats awesome, however you know people may find the one star bandit title just as appealing.

Sounds good, but don't title 1 star ninjas. That will only encourage some people to do it. I suggest changing the title of 1 star ninjas who are caughtto new member with 0 post count and let them start again.

I think that this new ranking system is pretty cool.
It would also be neat to have some sort of bonus if you get a post stickied by a dev or if you are chosen as a correspondent.

Looking at that system againit encourages people to post less but good posts. It becomes harder to get a higher message rating if you post more. I think this will discourages some people from posting to achieve a high star ranked tag. The star ranks should be something of a long term goal, but Its alot easier to get a average rating of 4.5 (Galactic Senator) with 350 posts than it is with 1000.
Also why not change the community tags. I mean lets face it the star(wars) ranked tags sound alot better than the community ones, andafter all we allwant swg to be starwarsy.
