Honestly, the linked IGN items left me with some mixed feelings.

The description of the vehicles and the ability to really travel left me giddy with excitement. I'm really looking forward to seeing these in game soon.

The movie, on the other hand, left something to be desired. Most notably, the ability to actually see it. I can't access the movie, probably becuase so many other people are trying to do the same thing. So could everyone please not hit that link for the next 10 minutes. KTHX - Bye bye.

Nice work DEV's!

How is anyone actually getting this video? Every time I try to download this garbage, my connection is reset. How about providing something this cool at a location where it is actually accessible?

Do you realize how different the galaxy would have turned out if but a single stormtrooper had shot at R2-D2? Ever?

I downloaded the file. I had to cancel and resume to get it going. But eventually I got it.

Kinda disappointed by the time and size though. But great movie.

Highlights the use of vehicles with the video at a nice quality. But only 1 min for a 240MB file?

Hey, just watched the video.

The vehicles look sooo cool, I love the addition of engine flare.

Well, the speeders look nice and all... But they really need to watch the movies again. The speeders shown were doing about half the speed that the movie versions were doing.

yea but if you make them super fast, you will have problems such as making shuttles obsolete. Things cant always conform to what we see in movies for the sake of other mechanics in the game.

im REALLY looking forward to this addition. however i think the devs should make an effor tto address these 3 things to make it realistic and plausible.

1). The vehicles should naturally travel faster than the fastest creatures, i didnt ever see ne star wars critters outrunning vehicles.

2). I DONT think the vehicles should be storable in the data pad. if you BUY it on correllia, it should stay on correllia. i dont remember seeing luke and obi put their landspeeder in their pocket and dig it out on any other planet.

3). if the creature respawn isnt fixed to where they stop appearing out of nowhere and aggroing you instantly, this expansion os gong to be pointless and annoying. if my creature outruns the spawn update, then i dont even want to think about trying to drive a vehicle anywhere, that would just be ignorant.

I hope you can think of these points, certainly the last point. without that being addressed i really think this is an addition that is doomed to fail from the start.

Any chances that more vehicles are in the making.. Like the convertable sports one Anikan drove to rescue the falling Obi Wan in Episode 2? even allow us color choices.. ? Just curious

That was an air speeder not a land speeder.

Swoops are supposed to be faster than Speeder bikes...at least according to Haden Blackman, the executive producer of SWG. He wrote a book: "Star Wars: The New Essential Guide to Vehicals and Vessels" and in that book he lists theAratech 74-Z Military Speeder Bike (the one in ROTJ) as having a max speed of 500 KPH, and the TaggeCo. Air-2 Swoop as having a max speed of 600 KPH, and that swoops are basically just an engine and a seat...The swoop is the Indy car to the speeder bikes Nascar...

Pikeman : Doing massive damage; to the air surrounding our target.
Pikeman : You're dead meat, unless you happen to be standing in front of us.

Thanks to those of you who have made smaller versions for others to look at. I'll talk to IGN about possibly making a compressed version in the future. I've seen some negative comments about hosting it on IGN instead of SOE and I just want to reiterate that you all usually get first peek at all the SWG goodies. Sometimes we need to let the Marketing folks have some goodies to work with their press contacts. That's what sells more games. This is not an evil conspiracy, it is just a fact of the business; all video game publishers have to work with press outlets like IGN from time to time. I made sure I posted a link the moment the video went live so you would be the first to have the opportunity to go there and see it.

Anyway, thanks for all the great feedback on the video, now get ready to go on Test Center and play with them first hand.

Wow thats incredable, But may i ask a serious question to you Q-3po?

Will we see credit duping stoped by then so that we dont have to worry about having to pay 6mil or so to get ahold of these? The mounts were outrageously expensive the first day which i can understand, but that effect will undoubtedly be multiplied several times over with the development team acknowledging that Vehicles will be much much quicker than mounts, and actually take several different materials to manufacture in comparison to a CH that just needs to find a baby and have the /mount command.

An honest answer would be deeply appreciated as I know that credit duping is a vastly growing concern among our community, and its hurting alot of people, I myself being included for sure.

Not to complain, but...Mounts should and will always cost more then a basic speeder. Its not just tame a baby and teach it the mount command,it has to grow in our datapad and we don't have much room (12 ish for most CHs with /mount 16 at master) So for me to give up a space for a few days or worse have to release one of my pets its going to cost ya. I didn't mind at all charging 10-20ktrained kad. Many CHs didn't even sell mounts as no pirce was woth the datapad space.

Vehicles will ge a great addition to the game, and a factory run will make them cheap. So if you want that lesser plains bol for a mount - it will be different andhave no real upkeep costs but, cost more up front. I think it will be great when see player swoop gangs Maybe the occasional outworlder on a strange exotic creature.
