Thread: IGN Vehicle Video Nov 25th
Great job so far Devs, can't wait to get me speeder.
I have one question for Q-3PO and TH, will Landspeeder have truncks.
I hope we can store stuff in our landspeeder it would make life alot easrier for Crafter and Bounty Hunters.
Tried downloading using Mozilla Firebird, netscape and finally out of sheer desperation IE. They all start only to have the connection reset.
They look great! /applaud
Get rid of the streaming exhaust though.. NONE of the vehicles in the films ever show any sign of this, except for some larger ships, not speeders though. That's my only real complaint..
They do seem slow.. speed them up a bit, looks like they are as fast as a mount in gallop mode. I surely hope they're faster.. All the speeders in the films seem to have an accelleration and speed rate of like 0-100 in 1.2 seconds type of thing.. I really hope they are faster that they look in the video, but i won't complain.. I wanna start my own swoop gang.. heh...
Having probs with IGN? Droid-S128 was kind enough to make a 14meg .WMA file for your viewing pleasure.
It is mirrored here (right click and save please)
Enjoy the bandwidth!
Well, the speeders look nice and all... But they really need to watch the movies again. The speeders shown were doing about half the speed that the movie versions were doing.
BTW - Thanks Droid for the mirror

Ok, I think I just wet myself.
We will be able to leave the groud without using /jump. That is friggin awesome.

Do you really think it wise they make speeders as fast as in the movies? I could cross a planet in a minute with those things, and while I might not mind, I agree it probably would be a bad idea to make them that fast.
Cutting to the chase, we're making them as fast we possible can...

Looks awesome
Remember everyone that if they made these things too fast we'd be running into the sides of buildings since most video cards can only draw things so far ahead. Maybe my computer sucks, but I seem to outrun it sometimes from just burstrunning.
