Any of you actually *watch* the movies? Read the books? So on and so forth? Non-authentic games *such as SW: Galactic Battlegrounds... that are NOT about content rather just being a knock off of another game* aside... this game is suppose to be about content. Wookies did not wear armor in the movie. Indeed, if they had, I don't imagine Chewbacca would've been that cool looking of a being to begin with. Furthermore, if wookies are outcasts for using their claws in combat why in the name of the Emperor's Butthole would they wear Armor!?!?!? It looks stupid and it's just this kind of whining that has degraded the content of this game. My appologies to the developers; but you shouldn't listen to the majority with this game; Galaxies was supposed to be the first Massive Player Online to be following the heart of content and presenting a brand new and unique opportunity to try out the Star Wars Universe. Instead, this game is just Space Camp with Star Wars items in it.

As long as we're not going to follow content: Give Trandoshan's boots and gloves and Mon Cals Armor gloves as well. You see how quickly this thing degrades into giving everything *the same*. It just doesn't work with this game. Wookies were not suppose to have armor; Trans' not suppose to have gloves and boots; and sure as banth poo doo stinks weren't suppose to have a bunch of aliens parading around with Colonel *any rank for that matter* in the Empire. Content is totally against everything I've seen in the movies, books, and even the role-playing game *table-top* versionsin this *Campy* mantage of monkey mashing button pushing of a game.

That being said: It's time to go kill a few more Meatlumps because it's the only way to get Force Crystals to sell at Cut-throat prices because the economy is screwed up enough in the game now that were even forced to do stupid things like this just to get anywhere monetarily in game. Have a most pleasant day you big hairballs that'd look better as a carpet. *they even make themselves look like Yeti*

I finally have the first set that is out now. And i think it looks pretty good. Although i really want to have this set too. Cause it looks really good. I like the 2 horns on the helmet. I never though in a million years that they were going to give us armor that was comparable to Ubese armor though. This stuff rocks. In combat against pickets on Dantooine The current armor is blocking as much as 70% of the damage that i normally have taken. Im only seeing 120dmg compared to the 300dmg i used to take.

guess that's only like 65% but still a hell of alot better than before. My set is not even as good as ive heard it can be made. one of my guidies first sets matter of fact with a 47% kinetic and 27% base on it.

to tell you the truth i still wouldnt want to be a wookie but they do have some cool looking armor i think that it breaks the m\norm and that is cool. i am sick of seeing evry one with a vibro and composite running (myself included) i am glad to see that they are getting some cool designes out there. i would hope to see somthing more for twes and zebraks and stuff that is more personal to there speices like the wookie armor is but for now let them enjoy the spotlight. good job devs

I have no issue at all with Wookiee HAM bars, and give props to the fact that they're getting armor. I'm sure in the beginning of the game, it didn't matter much, but now that doctor buffs and whatnot are alot more prevailant, the carpets gotta keep up with the rest of the player base, and should be able to.

Would be good to get a few sets of species specific armor for the non-human races as well.

I want to get two or thee different sets of these Wookiee armors with low stats for display ... along with an armor plate above each denoting the time and planet of the kill. In addition to protecting Wookiees, they'll make *great* trophy decorations for Dosh!

Very good designing i like the ideal of keeping wookie tradition into the armour and having battle trphies built into it. Also agree with DarkAget101 when she says it needs to be traditional design with modern materials. Or maybe im just a miffed off Bounty Hunter who is fed up of watching friends with armour take -80% of the hit whilst i take the full 100%?

Great designing, cant wait for the improvements

Wow, your ignorance is outstanding! You ask if anyone reads the books - let's just say I've read the majority of the Expanded Universe. Shadows of the Empire - Chewbacca - Snoova - Armour.... nuff said.

Using continuity as an argument is as flawed as it is repetitve. Where have you seen armour on characters other than Stormies and Bounty Hunters? Exactly...

Where have you seen Cloning Centers, Bazaar Terminals, Mission Terminals and so on... Nowhere my friend.

No where has it ever been stated that Wooks don't wear armour. Ditto for Mon Cals and ditto for Trando's. Bossk did have protection for his calfs and forearms cos he was wearing a human-sized spacer suit.... that's explained in one of the books.

There are bigger threats to the Star Wars feel of this game than wooks having a means to protect themself.

I like the ceremonial armor, I got a set yesterday. The only thing I don't like is it makes my character look so bulky that the middle of my rifle vanishes into my torso, and I don't have a fat Wookiee or anything. This new armor looks cool, the only think I dislike is that it will all be identical. If all the Wookiees make armor from hunting trophies than there would be a lot of variation, but I understand that that would be quite complicated to have everyone have individual armor, so I let that slide. You devs got me to subscribe to the newsletter by offering a pic of the third armor, whichI HOPE looks modern. Wookiees would look really cool in composite-ish armor. I'm not begging for 80% resists or anything because even the 30-35% reists of my ceremonial suit make hunting SO MUCH easier, but I think we deserve resists that are pretty close to other races and we certainly deserve modern armor so we don't look like total savages. And if anyone says Wooks don't deserve good armor or modern armor...come to Wanderhome so i can officially tear your damn arms off!

the wookiee armor i must agree is kinda weak for a wookiee concidering their strength, but also concidering on their home world of kashyyyk, they dont have much for "star ship" materials... they would have to make it with their resources... but ALSO concidering that theres no way to get to kashyyyk on SWG we should have some big bad thick metal stuff... im thinking some armor that resembles old gladiator armor would work just perfectly ...

I chose to be a wookiee in previous games to SWG, and before i even knew you could be a wookiee in this game i wanted to be one... i feel loyal to my wookiee race and ide take wookiee anyday over any other species (except jawa possibly =P) .. but honestly, even the "wicker basket" wookiee armor is 20 times better than the composite armor i think... who else thinks so?... atleast with the wookiees we wont have a bunch of clones running around ...

All i have to say is good work on the armor, and keep it up... the hunting armor looks awesome.. cant wait =)

True, the fact that wookiees are never said to wear, or not wear armor...

The fact that chew chooses to walk around in his naked glory is his own

but im sure somewhere out there in the galaxy a wookiee had a brilliant idea of putting some resources together and wearing it for protection...

I get a good chuckle out of seeing Wookiees now. Your first set of armour makes you look like a tree...apparently the new set will make you look like a tree with horns...

Thank you SOE, for making the Star Wars universe seemingly more retarded than the last thing you screwed up.

Any chance we can get BioWare to design SWG2?

Has anyone here ever played Knights of the Old Republic?

This is not a quote but Zaalbar says that wookies do NOT wear clothing or trim their hair.. Things of that sort. He says that it is against tradition to do so. Now don't get me wrong I'm all for allowing wookies to protect themselves like other species do when they wear armor. The way they did this in KOTOR was to allow wookies to have shield generators. This seemed like a perfect solution since they could still get protection from different kinds of attacks withour wearing armor which was NOT an option in the game.

Just putting my two cents in. Shield generators, now there's an idea!!
