Bazaar raise good, vendor limit bad! I do alot of business off of my vendors and because of work it would be very hard to stock daily I usually try to stock once aweek so I can do other things like quests and player content stuff but if I have to baby sit my vendor every day that would take away from the game and seeing that 2 of my proffessions have been nerfed (ch and be) this would make 3 in a row not a happy camper

I would prefer higher limits than proposed for both.

Bazaar cap - whatever you like. 6K isin't much different than 3K to me. Unless you get over 10K you are, as one poster put it, staying in "tip" range.

Vendor cap - 150 items, eh? No thank you. 250 Iwould agree with more.I have played a merchant since July. It does sometimes feel like we are red-headed step children, and making things more difficult for merchants with a very low stock cap dosen't inspire more love towards us. It feels like we play a class as hard and as smart as we can and just get blamed for some of the database issues for doing it well.

Raising the Bazaar Cap is a great idea! That needs to be done..

Limiting Vendors to a 100 or whatever unless you are merchant is gonna hurt crafter's more unless you wanna give us more skill points to spend. I am a Master Tailor and have a few merchant skills but I could not go far enough up the merchant tree to be able keep my vendor stock like it is now. I keep anywhere from 500-600 items stocked usually. I have only had one person say they could not find something, so I educated him on how to use vendors and "drill down" I like to craft but I also like to hunt, placing this limit would ruin crafting. I would either have to give up hunting to take up more merchant so I can have a vendor or just quit crafting. There would be no point in having a vendor if I cannot stock it with clothing. All this will do is limit what people put up, Instead of having variety like we do now all we will have is the popular stuff that sells.

I agree the database needs work and needs to be fixed but this is not the way to do it. There are tons of other ways.

My decision has been made and I willquit crafting if this cap goes into effect on personal vendors. There would be no point to it anymore. I don't see getting much business as a Tailor with special orders only.

PS - Why don't we fix some of the schematics that have been screwed up since the game began.

I do not think that adding player vendor items to the bazaar listing will help anyone. This is my reason for thinking so.

A few days ago I browsed the items in bestine and saw high end stuff being sold for 3k on the bazaar, items that I would sell for 7k and others for 10k, now if everyone was linked to the bazaars, people would first off browse tthe bazaar for what they need and buy it at that point, then run to that vendor. Thus they will see all the stupidly low priced items (mainly id guess from hologrinders funding their next skill) and NOT buy from a REAL tailor or a REAL architect. Thus none of us that are in a skill for the long haul would sell as much as we do now

As most people are saying, the Bazaar cap increase is a good thing!

The item limit on personal vendors is a good idea, however it is waaaaay tooooo loooowww! My vote is for 3-500 items per vendor. Your post wasn't veryclear as to if this limit would be "per" vendor or the total amount that a Merchant can sell.

The economy on most servers is srewed because of one thing HOLOCRONMANIA!!! Fix that crap and you'll see a decent economy. If that is really your goal.

I could go on a rant here, but I am the one that chose to be a Merchant/Crafter. So Iwill deal with whatever you Imperialistic DEVs throw at us.

#1 i like this idea a lot, but i still dont think that there should be any cap on an auction, it defied the point of having an auction.
how many auctions have you seen in the trade forums where the prices regularly go to the millions? these auctions really should be on the bazaar.

#2 also like it, even tho i dont have a vendor. however, maybe merchants shopuld be able to increase the max number of items that they can place.

If this idea has already come up please forgive and not flame.

I like the idea on raising the limit on the bazzar

But the vendor cap i think may not be wise, I have a suggestion that may work

Player cites open their own Bazzars, only people who are citizens of the city get to sell items on the Bazzar. Moreover let the items on the bazzar reflect the level of the city.

Maybe an outpost allows its citizens 50 items with a price limit of say 10,000

going up to metro where there could be 500 items and the limit to be 1 million?

Also this way a percentage of the money could go to the city?

The Bazzar only to be placed by a master mercahant, maybe he gets a cut of the profits too..but he must stay a master merchant?

Also this allows non-artisan characters the chance to dabble a little more on the selling front, and thus maybe move money around more?

#1 yes, but not too high. Should try at 6k to see and maybe upped to 10k max if 6k is not enough

#2 no, but i have a suggestion, why not put a limit on one of the merchant skill box like 150 on first lvl, 250 on the second lvl and so on?

ok not seeing th anymore in several pages, I'd assume that the decision is made. In case it hasn't fully been made yet i'm going to post my condensed thoughts again

#1 bazaar caps. Raising it a bit might help somewhat but what will really work is allow them to search pc vendors. This will push the focus onto the player cities.

#2 vendor cap. No way this will cramp us crafters and make even more empty vendors. If you're looking to improve data base preformance: reduce the number of records by allowing us to slot like items in one record instead of having to use seperate records. I was selling mouse droids with med modules on my vendor, one record per droid. I could have easily put up the 20 or units in one record and saved some db space. Also if you are using any microsoft products on the back ends, condiser switching to unix, linux products as m$ is known to have bloated and wastefull software.

All crafters agree reducing the vendor item count is UN-workable

The cruel irony is the the combination of these silly changes will make is much easier for skilless resources miners to get rich and make it harders for committed crafters to run a decent business.

Resources prices will go up becuase of the higher limit making it harder to novices to get started in crating, but will not impact the holo grinders who are just trying to get it done and get out.

Just give up the crafting, sell the big house to hold items and put in harvestors.

Yup... a rich and diverse gaming experience

I agree, i was a dedicated crafter for months now i'm done, i can make more money harvesting resources than makeing weapons. Theres too much of a hassle right now and when they cap us at 150 items thats going to ruin it. Powerups are the biggest examples here. Each crate is 10 powerups. So at most you can have 150 crates of powerups that sell for like 2k each. You are driving a lot of peoples business out because whats the use of stocking powerups now? They are taking valuable vendor space.

1) I feel the Baazar cap should go up, 3k is way to low right now.

2) Worst Idea EVER!!!!! I agree with some of the other people about selling out of crates or selling resources at a set cpu. That would really reduce the size of the database cause when i make stuff i have to take them out of the crate so just leave them in.

i think the price is a great idea, allows will allow more people to more expensive goods on the bazzars.

don't like the limit on goods tho, sounds like a pain especially those that find it hard to come by stuff then when they do try to sell it to get some cash nd find they can only put a cirtain amount on can be downhearting.

i also think a good idea would be to put special bazzar terminals in cantinas for entertainer use only which and also in med centers for medic use only, cause its a pain the backside when your trying to heal patients and you run outa stims or wound packs and you crafting kit just died on you or you run out of rescources, so a vender here would be usefull selling items that people could use to either craft the medicines themselves or to just buy the medicines out right
