So if you bacame glowy after Pub 10 what group are you in?

That depends on how many mystery professions you have left....

Take a look a TH post on the first page, that will help you some...

Actually, I got my old man visit today and I was not a hologrinder. I have mastered 5 professions over the past year, but was "glowy" upon logging in Tuesday morning.

I do believe TH said in his original that those who unlocked between 9 and 10 and those who qualify under the new system will automatically get the old man visit. The groups are for the holo-grinders who didn't unlock and aren't "glowy".

Maybe taking the time to do the badges and theme parks will elevate them to the "automatically qualified" group and they will get their visit sooner. *shrugs*

I hate to beat dead horses and all, but...

If I qualified for the new system as soon as it went live, but never grinded any holos, do I automatically qualify for a visit?

If I do, when exactly can I expect it? What group would I be considered part of? I feel badly for those who holo grinded to death and all, but some of us played the game for the fun of it, not to specifically get a jedi. Before I get mad and rant and rave, I'd like to understand the system here. Am I ready now for a visit (If so, where is he?) or am I in one of the groups?

Confused, greatly...

Haveall of you that have been visited been alone? Were there any other people around you, or did he just walk right up in front of a crowd of peeps? LOL, if he did, bet there was a mob trying to get him.

Everyone take the time to check out World of Warcraft beta forums, the devs listen to their players. Blizzard will have every penny of my game money when wow is released.

And to anyone who wants to tell me to leave already, My profession list is bigger than yours, amongst other things.

As a post 9 unlocker i feel like i have been raped and my rapist is asking me to date him(sony asking for more money from me).

Devs listen to the players is one thing.

Devs do whatever every crying customer want is another.

If their devs do the latter, well, I will pass that kinda game. No mistery to solve, no challenge, that kinda game bores me fast. I don't want them to spoon feed me.

Good luck ta ya, impatient one. *shrugs*

I was alone, but don't know if that has any bearing.

They know they screwed up on this one, the silence speaks for itself. An all too familiar pattern.

all I can do is shake my head at some of the people that posted here. I hope that some of those people leave it will make the game a brighter place. I applaud the devs for making a unique route to becoming a jedi besides the holo grinding route. I joined the game in june and never had a time to experience holo grinding but learned that it was a very expensive and tedious task. I'm just hoping we see something innovative like another dungeon or so. This village of Aurilla is certainly going to be interesting and can't wait for the mysterious old man visit. I probably won't get it though Amana is too confused about his place .

When you Logged in tuesday and did your /check, and you glowed, as i understand it, you qualify for the old man visit automatically. When is 1 to 3 days.

I glowed at log on tuesday, and no old man yet...

Although I feel that my concerns will fall on deaf ears, I must add my voice to the growing swell of unhappy and dissatisfied customers. That's right... I'm a customer, not just a player. You provide a service and I pay for that service. It seems to me that you might be losing sight of that fact.

I will not continue on by listing all the things I am unhappy with in this, and previous publishes. I think others have adequately covered all those bases. I believe the problem is much larger than just screwing up game updates. I seems to me that when the devs want to make a change in the game they are either unable (or unwilling) to stop for a while, consider how it might effectthe customers, and try to look at the big picture.

For example: You announce that the path to Jedi will change from a system of mastering professions to a system of completing quests. People who don't like to grind out professions, stop. On the day the new publish goes live, they find out that theyare unable to do the quests for an undetermined amount of timebecause they didn't continue grinding. How could you not know that that would make the customers angry and unhappy? Can't the devs even try and think outside the box? If there is too much traffic for one village, why not put another one on Yavin and another on Endor? If that delays the release of publish 10, post an explanation on the board and let the customers know what is going on. If you had done this, do you think you would have recieved 80+ pages of angry customers releasing their venom at you for your lack of foresight?

There is an old saying, "Look before you leap." That is some good advice. SWG is an awesome game. Stop screwing it up!

Real simple question i can't find an answer to. Is the new system based on the original 5 professions or 8?
