While I think on,

This is probably a common one. Armour is getting a little tiresome even with some of the imaginatory colors some people have come up with, around 70% of players are wandering around in composite armour. I'd like to see some new variations in designthat could be mixed and matched to current composite armour to create a more unique universe.

Another idea to encourage Imperial's to wear uniforms & storm trooper armour would be to level it out with composite. We see very few people wearing any forms of imperial clothing which doesn't really reflect what we see in the Star Wars movies. Adding more variations for us to trade our faction points for, like the imperial guard, black storm commando, snow trooper, AT-AT general& scout armour would be nice to see.

Last but not least "Rank Pips" please please let us have those nice chunky blue and red squaredrank pips, these could be used like player jewlery and could be worn on all types of clothing provided you were declared.

Cybernetic limbs. As in ESB, what if when a character received a certain minimum amount of damage (and a critical hit) to one limb, that limb was removed?

There could be a new skill group for the bio-engineer or Doctor for replacing lost limbs with prosthetic ones, as was Luke's hand after his dear old dad lopped it off for his boss.

Of course, removing a real limb and replacing it with a faux one would probably reduce your maximum HAM, but for the sake of the Star Wars universe, wouldn't this add to the "look and feel?"

With how much damage people tend to take we'd all be converted to droids eventually with this though.

I think a cool new dungeoun to add would be a qaurantined section of the deathstar where you get a cutscene of yourself heading to the deathstar. The story could be somthing like this: a mysterous shuttle arrives at one of the many docking bays in the deathstar moments later the commander of that bay hear screams coming from the comlinks of his strormtroopers and he tries to respond and he doesnt get any responses so he and his higher in command decide to qarauntine the whole docking bay but dont want to send more of their own forces in the bay so they decide to use hired hands being you which they are not worried about sacrificing.

wait till the space xpack to do that, cuz aint no way death star gonna be on a planet, and its for sure they arent gonna make a shuttle there cuz rebels will be crawlin all over the place for FP

what i would like to see is more professions.... with there own "UNIQUE" abiliteis to them...

dueler= novice brawler -fencer tree

-swordsman tree

-pikeman tree

the dueler excels at all forms of melee combat enabling him to perform outstanding dmg with a wide variety of damage... also range is not a great factor for the dueler as it has the capabilities of throwing projectiles

cybernetic engineer

the droid engineer is capable of combining metallic parts with animals in the growing process of cloning t

strategists

unlike the squad leader the stretagist can plan out a battle ahead of time giving all those around him a significant combat bonus, though at the lose of any combat expertise

well these are just some of my proposed new proffs.... i didnt go into any detail as i did with dueler because i got lazy.... but you get the jist of it....

Here is an idea for profession retention. This should give a reason for people to devote time to thier professions and cut down on the number of people who grind out profession after profession and never actually stick with one.

Give skill boxes that open up after a person has Mastered a profession. These skill boxes require no additional XP to get, only time. Lets take Creature Handler for example, once a person has been a Master Creature Handler for one month (earth time) they get the ability to train in "2nd Degree Master Creature Handler." This will give extra bonses to taming, training, or new tricks to teach your pets, or maybe even new creatures you can tame, but the only way to get this box, is to be an MCH for 1 month. You could add more boxes at varyinig intervals culmanating at "8th degree Master Creature Handler" after retainig MCH for 1 year.

I think this would be great for all those people that have devoted so many of their skill points to a chosen profession, for such a long period of time.+

Storage continues to be one of the most critical aspects of the economy of this game. I understand the conceptthat increasing storage equals longer load time for the server etc., but some consideration needs to be given to this critical area of SWG economics. Factory runs are a necessity to many different professions, this creates a major inventory distribution problem. Lets use the Chef as an example. Alcohol, Carbosyrup, Cake mix, glasses, Soypro,Bantha Butter and supplements are just some of the items that have to be used from factory runs. The Chef also has an enormous resource requirement with the need for florals of many types as well asmeats, bone, hide and resources from different planets. The Architect, Weaponsmith, Armorsmith, Medics, Bio-Engineersand the player that wants to make a living mining resources all have similar storage problems. This is NOT a hoarding issue, it is a necessity to the economics of a merchant and that rolls up the the economics of a player city.

I would suggest an evaluation of the item storage levels of the buildings themselves. The precious lot allocation does not equal the storage levels. One way of changing this would be to allow increments of 100 for each lot required. A Small Naboo Style 2 would have storage of 100 and a Guild Hall would have a storage level of 900.

Another concept that has merit is the creation of storage modules. Each moduleholding 100 items andcrafted by the Architect. When a module is added to a house it increases the rent or the module could be in the form of a furniture item.

Another method would be to let the Architect experiment on buildings to increase the storage level.

I know this is not a new issue, but it is discussed oftenin our city. Most Merchants wouldbe willing to pay for an increase in the storage level of their domain.

TH

I like to seefour things actually added that we need.

1. Rebel base to me are just wrong. The way you guys design then is all off. During this time Rebel Base wouldn't be Military Fort that would have banners display this is a Rebel stronghold. If I recall correctly in the Movies all Rebel base we ever saw were hiding or Camoflage.

When I think of what a Rebel NPC or Player Base would look like. It would be a Adandon House, warehouse or Starportwith a underground Complex. What you guys have now makes it look like the rebel are on equal footing with the imperial and don't need to hide from them. Which is not the case during this time period.

I would love to see you guys redesign the Rebel bases to blend into their surronding and make the rebel look more like a Rebellion fighting against a powerful evil empire.

2. Whatever happened to Faction Ranks. I heard rumor that maybe in Patch 7. I guess it never made it. I would love to see you guys allow us to wear our faction ranks ensigns like the NPC Rebel and Imperial Officer currently wear on their uniforms. Also it be nice to have a option to display the Rank Ensign with the player name to everyone when they are overt and to their faction when they are covert.

3. We need furniture that actually store equipment. Now that you added a light source to lambs. Let think about adding storage abilities to Bookcase, Cabinets and Armiors

4. We need to see headlights on Landspeers and Bikes.

5. What about storage containers on Landspeers and Bikes.

6. With all the technolgy in the Star Wars Unverisal you would think that they would be able to create Gas Mask or Bio Suite to protect against Poison and disease in this time period. Why not add this feature into the game. You guys fixed the issue with Defense stackers being uber, Now you have the Issue with MCM being the king of the battlefield. Have you ever been hit with AOE posion or disease that does 1000 damage a tick to your mind poolfrom about 80m out? (I have it not fun)

Hello! Me and a friend were talking, and we had some ideas that I think will not only be REALLY cool to add to SWG, but would also add a much needed aspect.

I'll give some examples of what I'm talking about, though I'm sure everyone has their own story. First example:A medic need high quality and high positive energy organics to make good medicines. She keeps her eye out on the bazaar, but she really doesn't have a lot of contact with any scouts or artisans, so it's mostly pot luck what she can and can't find. Second example: A crafter is trying to get their goods out to the world, but they don't have the money to buy a house yet. They try to set up their goods on the bazaar, but that's really a hit or miss on what she thinks people needs.

Both of these ladies could be SERIOUSLY helped, if they had a text based place they could post their needs up, in game. This is my first time to the boards, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who just plays the game without ever logging in here. If there could be a system were users can post what they are looking for on a local, planet, or galactic scale, that would be awesome. Then, the medic could go up and post a message under 'Need Organics' that she is looking for high quality, high positive energy organics, and she's willing to start a re-occurring business transaction with someone. And if there was another section so people can do advertising again on a local, planet or galactic scale. Then, if I'm wanting to seek out a tailor on Naboo, I can go to the advertising section and look to see what tailors are advertising. Or, if I'm a crafter, I can look to see what kind of needs people have out there, and then contact them for special jobs. Or, even adjust what I make to fit the needs; after all, if people want black dusters, but I only make red ones, I won't be getting a lot of business. I go to the 'Needs' section, and see everyone is asking for black dusters, so I can then modify my output to match demand.

On the advertising, you can even set up a place were if they have a store, a waypoint could be downloaded into the data pad. Right now, unless I'm missing something easy, if I am interested in seeing what goods an advertising seller has, I have to write down the waypoint, or go to the planetary map and get close enough and make a waypoint.

I picture this working similar to the bazaar does now: I have 2 sections I can look in, 'Needs' and 'Advertisements'. If I want to post a Need, then I need to pay a nominal fee to have my request out there for a period of time.

On the Advertisements side, you could even have it tie in with the Merchant class. Anyone can do basic text advisements, but a good merchant has access to adding color, adjustingtext looks (bold, italics, etc), and even allow it have a 'premium' status, like the bazaars have now, so those bubble to the top for a more expensive fee.

Could we buff up the /anon command just a little bit? Maybe even a seperate command like anon with more functionality?

Besides making you unsearchable /anon should:

  • Do not show logon or logoff to those who have you in their friends list

  • Do not show at all in others friends list

  • tells to you indicate to the sender that you are offline

My apologies if the /anon command is SUPPOSED to have these functions already (someone told me thats how it should work...). If so, the command does not work. I've been toying with /anon for a week (playing for a few minutes at a time all during the day) and i still get 10-20 tells a day and several of my friends are annoyed with me because im not answering when im not at the computer.
