The numbers may appear to be a bit low to what current Jedi see on their lightsabers now, but don't worry! We will apply behind the scenes values so the new lightsabers will deal the same amount of damage as pre-patch values until we push the combat balance live.


lets just hope you remember to nerf them when the combat balance goes live

Can we still unlock the jedi slot after patch9 by hologrind???? or its after patch10 when we cant unlocked it by grinding and then we need do jedi trials?

My last bit of info today...


On the slot thing:




1. You do a quest (no skill changing involved at all!) you can unlock force sensitivity AND a new character slot. Skill changing WILL NOT be required.

2. You can choose to Proceed with Force Sensitivity progression by unlocking 24 blocks of associated Force Sensitive skills on your CURRENT character to attain Padawan via the padawan trials. BUT,it is not set is stone. There have been discussions to make the acquisition of theskills to happen during the quests to unlock Force Sensitivity. If we went that way then players could be able to go directly into the Jedi Padawan quests if they wanted to.



3. -OR- you can re-do the force sensitive quests on the new character and then unlock those 24 boxes on that NEW character preserving your primary character. You will have to go through the whole series of quests again if you want to be able to advance as a Jedi with the second character.

Thanks for the great info, but I have a question about existing sabers translating to the new system...


Let's say I craft a 5th gen saber today using 1 really nice pearl and 3 great crystals. When I break it down in the new system, will I get 4 great crystals, 1 nice pearl and 3 great crystals, or 4 medium pearls? I realize values may not completely translate, but any guidence would be great.


Also, would a saber broken down at 50/60 condition break down the same as one 900/1000?

Sounds great and all.... but Kinetic Damage REALLY needs to go.... I'm sure the entire community agrees. Even if its a switch to heat or energy- that would still stink, but it would at least be SOMEWHAT realistic. I'd have to say definatly a new type, but if it has to remain one of the current types, at least raise the damage or make it ap3...



Sound like you guys really have made up for your initial Jedi flops :/ I really look forward to the hard work you've been doing.

Will the Friday Feature after the E3 feature the quest part of the Revamp? If not, do you have any ETA on when (and if...) you will release more information about it?

Can't we just choose if we want our second character to be force sensitive? If choosing to make our second character FS means never being able to make the character you unlocked with FS then that's fine with me. I personally don't want any character I have now to be a Jedi, I was looking forward to creating a brand new character that was BORN force sensitive.

TH I have a question about the whole light/dark thing. Will current dark jedi remain dark or will they be brought back to light again until they reach knight? Also this leads this question...say your main toon is an imperial and he becomes a jedi, will I then have to become a rebel just becuase I want to be a jedi, or will I stay imperial?

very good info on the vamp. but i'd like to suggest if it is not in your ability to make a new damage type or different damage types for different pearls/crystals can we at least get it changed to stun damage. if its left as kinetic and our damage is lowered at all and jedi robes don't have at least 80-90% kinetic/energy resists we will be at a major disadvantage in PvP. especially when permanently overt after knight. i really look forward to having to PvP for exp but please make us a good PvP template. ex resists, defenses vs state effects, damage type. otherwise it won't be much fun. also please take into account that if we are perma overt we will most likely not be fighting one on one in any town. if we need to travel interplanetarily (if thats a word) we are bound to run into some overts of other factions. if its gonna be a group on 1 fight please make us capable of surviving or winning such an instance. thanks and good job overall. i look forward to doing some testing on the new TC2 soon.
