I know im wasting my time here, but here goes.
I just dropped two accounts of this game. Why? Just look at the comments on most of these threads. Things that where working all of a sudden stop. nerfs for no reason. vain attemps at player balancing. No response or weak pothetic CSR responses. SOE does not care what folks think or want. This game is broken, has been from release date. How long did it take for the devs to fix guild chat?
When a person can walk into a defended base, target what ever person or NPC the desire, kill them, and cylce to the next person, kill them, repeat at will, that is not balanced. I WAS a master doc master pistoleer. this person attacked my party inside a base that had its full complimant of NPCs out side. plus the few folks inside. His attacks went after mind (for u devs thats the blue bar) and DB my groupmate. He was a master of a weopon also. While he was dispatching my groupmate, i was shooting at him with my prenerfed krate poweruped pistol...his buffs where fixing any damage i did. because he was not hitting red or green, i was able to attack this person. There was two others in the group (thats 4 peopls devs) that where quality players with quality charicters. We where not beginers. HOW could this possibly happen???????? 1 vs 4 and the one lives?
(Hey devs, how many elite classes attack the mind stats? and now how many folks can cure blue bar damage in a fight????? hummmmm lets seee one to cure and i dont know how many that attack. Now lets do somemore database crunching....whats the percentage of CMs in the game? whats the percentage of folks who primarily attack blue? do the math folks, their is more people that will attack then fix blue, why? Well lets see, to cure blue, the CM takes damage when doing it, why whould i want to do that? after a bit, im not gonna bealbe to do anything untill i get near an entertainer? thats smart.....nice one devs, thats balance, daaaaaa. When was the last time someone died do to red or green ham damage? what is the percentage of non dual deaths in the red, green, blue catagories?)
I have a master dancer/master entertainer. that same night i buffed my party utilziing my dancer skills, then the party went out and promptly got killed. I attempted to rebuff my party and the buff did not take....WHY?? i assume that the buff counter was still going on... Devs, the dancers buff timer did not turn off on death, thus i could not rebuff...how i know this??? i buffed , my other charicter (u know, the master doc/pistoleer). I have run into a party of 2 or 3 folks, heck, they dont even use a doc/medic, they just get a buff, food, armor spices, uber weopons that are no longer available for me to get ahold of (because devs did an arbitrary nerf of items and took other items out of the game but left these things in the game).
I have seen the CSR in action...WOW was i impressed. this CSR came to a base altercation where a person took off all his armor, put it in his bank and then started attacking the various defences of the base. there was no lose potential to this person (for u devs, im talking about the attacker) but the person who put the turrent up, that represented a week or twos work in faction grinding. The CSR chatted with the attacker in spatial and the attacker replyed in in spatial. Bottom line, the CSR deemed that persons play inappropriate and told him never to do it again. During the course of the converstation, the attacker knew he was attacking a persons work of two or three weeks work, but because the GSW was ineffect it was ok for him to do it. He also indicated that this was not the first time he has done something like this. Because he was bored with the game (devs, that means no content) he was doing this. Becuase he knew SOE would be to lame to make a descision or to right a wrong he knew he could continue. He was exploiting pure and simple...did the CSR do anything about it? no....Devs have you done anything about it?? NO. it would be soo simple to give them turrents the ability to target 3 or 4 attackers at the same time, esp the big turrents.
I buffed myself and went to the reb controlled base on correllia. I had my level 10 non-ch pet with me, (i buffed the kitty). the two of us destroyed that base (u know, a bunch of surface marshalls, generals, majors, commandos... a lot of NPC). I took one hit of brandy (lasted 37 mins) (was 220 to blue bar) and the brandy was still going when the last reb died.....OOOOO i did this with no armor on....with my buffs, and the sick AI the NPCs have, i do not see a point in wasting my armor on NPC. Did it once and would never do it again, BOOOORRRRING.
The only good thing about SWG is the fact that i can talk with people and group with people around the world. That a global group can chat, and work to a common goal.
thunder and Q, will anything every get done about this? NOPE, i have dealt with this garbage for the last time. Will I ever buy into another SOE product in the future or play a SOE sponsered game in the future? NO.
will SOE care that i posted this? NO. I know folks like this game, want to play this game, want to improve this game. I have submitted numerious bug reports, but because you NEVER get any response back from a bug report, i felt that they where being ignored. heck, look at the bug number, has it crested 2 million (devs, my last bug report was 1.6 million. that means that there has been 1.6 million reports of problems with your product. im amazed that you actually gave them a number and that your not imbarresed with that number). how many other folks have experianced problems, but have not reported them....look at these boards, READ them, dont force thunder and q to paraphrase them for you, look at the numbers.............look at what we are complaining about..........fix your product before u lose more people.
player balance, the ability to cure blue during a fight. a way to stop folks from grieving others, coding that works, make it so ppl are not gravatating to only a hand full of elite professions. let me move around without waiting for the dang shuttles (i just love to sit around for 4-8 mins thinking about how much i love the devs of this game). Untill you get the PVP portion of this game fixed, and get some real player balance in the game let every starbase be a theed style base (instant travel).
AHHH enough ranting,,,,dont think this will even last one day on the board before it is removed.

On pistoleers....will we EVER beable to weild dual pistols?
1. It would make sense...in the movies you usally don't see just one blaster out, but two
2. It would help balance...rifle for example, the do lot's of dmg, so have dual pistols would help even the plain a bit.
3. It would look really cool!!!
Another subject, maybe could you give some more skill points, maybe like 4 or 6 more?

Please, PLEASE fix BH proff accordingly to skill points used.
for 200 + points spent for pure offencive fighting proff. we supposed to be at least able to kill any other prof 1 vs 1.
I'm really annoyed with getting killed by ppl who are masters in some crafting proffecion but spent 150 points or so for combat skills...
is it fare ?
BH = proff. which is supposed to be the best solo fighter.
even after publish 7 I can't do anything to TKA or other melee coz I can't KD tham first (having 50% chance for KD to work when person have just 20 kd def !!!!! )
Inv skill tree is useless.. it gives just 2 things.. ranged damage mit. and jedi missions.. damage mit doesent help much and what is porpose of missions which I won't be able to do ?
U possible heard many nice ideas about how to fix BH and what new skills should be added. Place tham on Inv skill tree so at least ppl will be interested in lvling it.

I would like also to say that I would rather not have any planet to any planet travel.
However, I think the system needs to be changed from what it now is.
My propostion:
There should be 2 or 3 central commerce and transfer planets.
These should be the big three: Tattooine, Corellia, and Naboo. There should be TWO starports on each planet that can go fromanywhere to anywhere. This will keep lag down by spreading the load between 6 places instead of one main place (Coronet). (yes i know u can goto kor vella, etc., but many people choose to goto coronet for buffs, etc., which makes it an important commerce place.)
In this way, the commerce can be spread to a larger area, lag can be minimized in planet transfer, and this satisfies both sides of the arguement, I believe.
Also, maybe as a SE perk, player transports can take people anywhere to anywhere and regular starports stay the same? Just another suggestion

Simply changing the email "from" line - I know, it's not THAT simple but it shouldn't be too complex a code change - would remove the possibility of faked emails and reduce both player grief and Customer Service tickets.

I would like to add my name to the list requesting a change to the tip system. It is far too easy to forge a bank tip. I think that the message should come from a system entity of some sort and the idea of the message containing your new bank ballance is a great one.

Natural spawns are also the whole reason Explorer missions exist, right? And /areatrack for rangers. I love everything about Lok except for hunting there, so I rarely go. I don't mind doing missions, but when the only way to kill anything on a planet is to generate the enemy via a mission, it gets to feel like a really empty experience. I've never gone a full kilometer on Yavin IV without seeing at least one natural spawn. Why can't all planets be like this? At least to a degree.

Actually, Jabba's palace is the capital, since he's the ruler of the planet. The Empire is just squatting and picked Bestine for their own use.

I was talking to a guy last night who said his friend knows a CSR who told him that they were probably going togive people an easier way to open up their Jedi slot. He told me thateverybody would be doing quests similar to Theme Parks, then running aroundwith their lightsabers having fun. He said and I quote, ".....which is fine, everybody gets their lightsaber and has their fun whoooosh whooosh whiiirrr whiirrrr. They get to hear the lightsabers whooshing around. Everybody's happy."
Hahahahah everybody's a Jedi now!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
We all get our lightsabers and this game becomes...
The Jedi are supposed to be mostly gone, and each server should only have about 1-2% Jedi to preserve continuity with the Star Wars Saga, but, to placate whiners who say, "Mastering bio engineer has nothing to do with jedi" we decided to give 50% of the players FSCS.
Honestly, Jedi is inherited. You're born with it.You shouldn't be able to quest OR gain professions to learn it. The only reason they did the mastering professions thing was to make people able to get Jedi fairly and randomly, (although powergamers have a better chance than casual gamers and they should still work out something that makes it totally random and NOT based on how much time you play the game)
If they want to make it so that everybody can be Jedi, they should allow all characters to change their names, and make a full revamp of everything, and say it's 200 years later.The Jedi Order is restored because of Luke Skywalker and the other Jedi's hard work. Everybody could have a free name change or something. Better yet, keep the Jedi FSCS opened by HOLOCRONS and come out with a NEW Star Wars Game set in a later time period if you all wanna be Jedi. I'd like that better anyway... everybody is a Jedi and the wierdos that are outcast are the ones that DON'T use the force in their everyday lives. LOL. The ones that get killed and slaughtered by Evil are just normal people...
I take this game a little more seriously than most, and I don't want to see a bunch of little kids disrespecting Jedi by flooding the servers with them. There are already fat wookiees and half-naked humans wearing hot pants all over the place. It's idiotic.
My point: Although holocrons may not be perfect, neither is questing. Both are fine in my honest opinion, but I think there should be a limit on the number of Jedi per server. Not a cap on the maximum number of them, just a limit imposed by the extreme difficulty of acquiring Jedi.
If you rely on PvP and hunting them down being a deterrent from making a Jedi character, you'll probably realize that people will STILL make Jedi characters and they'll STILL flood the server. Even if you have an NPC Jedi Slayer in Every City of the game that actively SCANS for Jedi and DB's them in 1 hit, you're STILL gonna get flooded with Jedi.
I'm finished talking. I'm just not wanting to see Jedi get more than like 1-2% of the server to preserver CONTINUITY. I LIKE STARWARS AND DON'T WANNA SEE THIS GAME TURN INTO JEDI WARS.

Apparantly put in with this patch, I cannot move things up or down in my house.
I'm typing in: /moveFurniture UP 10
With what I want to move up off the ground UP targetted.
It keeps telling me:
Format: /moveFurniture <FORWARD/BACK/UP/DOWN> <distance>
What am I doing wrong?!? It works in the Radial Menu - but sitting there using the Radial Menu and moving things up ONE NOTCH takes FOREVER.
I suffer this same exact problem too. /move or /moveFurniture down works fine but for some reason up just don't work. Radial Menu works fine, but you can't input a value into that, it'll take all day to hang paintings!!!

I had this same problem with the /move (or /moveFunrniture) commands, and it was driving me crazy until I learned how to work around it.
Use the /move command, but follow it by the first letter of the item you are targetting.
eg (for a lamp) type: /move L Up 50
Now it is all working ![]()

Some quick answers:
- Yes, pistoleers will be getting duel wielding (and yes, its very cool). So will fencers. I think there are a couple of other professions, but I can't think of them at the moment.
- The tip scamming is frustrating. I spoke with Blair about it this morning and we started thinking of ways to add a layer of security in there for you.
- This week's evenings look a little mroe manageable so I'll do my best to get a couple of the Ten Questions answered.
- Ill send an email internally and ask about the shuttle travel from any planet to any planet. I'll look into getting an In Dev post on it.
