It is really a matter of decorum. We never even got an appology, and they know they lied like no tommorrow. You would think that they would atleast feal bad. I doubt they would cry in their beers. I would expect them to have some empathy though. The post was insult enough, and tries to play down that even for the last three weeks they just lied right to our faces.

Sad just very sad definately not funny. For those that are staying you have to face facts. All these people leaveing will really hurt the community. Everyone will be effected. From your favorite crafter packing up to a guy you group with from time to time. Everyone is getting hurt and its the devs fault, and they cannot even manage we are sorry, or a we really screwed up. Vanity should have limits. Everyone knows that it was a major fubar. What would be the harm of them fessing up to it. Instead of makeing generic statements you might get off a corporate answering machine. There was no good news in the post. Even though TH really tried. Not only did he stick a fork in combat smugglers and gcw, but he implied that jtl was falling behind. The total amount of content that he listed off pre jtl scheduled for october. Like it will be out this year. Was what one would expect from one person working.

Well, Mad, i cancelled 2 weeks ago when I was so sick of combat in the game that it didn't seem fun. I figured I'd be back in a couplemonths when they fixed it. I was holding out until them just using swg as a chat system really.I was really paying them my monthly fee because they said they were fixing combat and pvp. I personally think, unless they're given a refund, that someone has the right to complain as long and as loud as they want if they've hired someone to do something and it never got done. It's like buying a car and the dealership/automaker refusing to fix something that was announced in a recall. No, i don't expect a refund from SOE. Have you ever seen a theif give money back? I'll just spend my last couple weeks throwing flames at them because i don't really like getting ripped off. Ya, ya, My mistake for believing them since Jan.

I do think however, that the number and heat of the posts over the last few days will cause changes. You weren't around for it, but ask anyone about the crafting change. Itbarely went to test. Players found out. The boards burst into flames. It was taken out.We are paying customers, and sooner or later they need to remember that.

I don't think that business is going quite as well for them as some poeple believe. Why delay this announcement if the churn isn't bothering business? TH said they've known for weeks. He's also told us that the combat balance is going to fix everything so take that with a bucket of salt. Pissed off customers get stuff done most of the time. I don't know how JustG and the others manage it really. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but it would really bother me if 100k people thought I was a lying sack of **edit**. Even 10 thousand people. No, I wouldn't make a good salesman or politician, but that's just me. They seem to be fine with it. I may be an **edit**, but I'm not unreliable.

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country. - Hermann Goering

One other thing I need to add to my rather lengthy post above:

I hereby formally apologize to all beta testers of this product for doubting their concerns about this game before launch. You were right, and I was so very painfully wrong.

Well, add me to the list of Day 1 subscribers who are now gone.

It is simply unacceptable to take over $200 of a customer's money over a 12-month period for a service, and then say that you are NOT going to use the money they paid to fix that service's numerous and well-known technical issues, but instead spend that money on building another product you hope that customer will buy.

There's a name for that: fraud. I paid for Galaxies, now you want me to pay for JTL ... not going to happen, not a chance. Fool me once, shame on you ... fool me twice, shame on me. After the last 12 months of broken promises and simple lies about what resources were being used for, I have no reason now to think that you won't ship JTL, put those developers to work on *another* expansion for *next* Christmas, and then keep apologizing for putting off urgently needed fixes to *both* Galaxies and JTL. Like virginity, you can only lose your credibility once ... and then it's gone forever.

Just like thousands of your once-hopeful customers ... gone forever.

Here's my list of famous quotes that apply so aptly to the Galaxies project ... choose your own favorite ...

What's even more sad is instead of responding to at least one disgruntled customers, you have the mods delete the posts?

Is that supposed to make your paying customers feel any better?

I've seen better customer service from dirty water hot dog vendors along 5th avenue.

Well, all I can say to you devs is the unemployment offices tend to get crowded early. Might want to get an early start.

Shame on you all for ruining what could have been a great game. Thanks for the last year of bugs, frustration and aggravation. Liar liar pants on fire.

I learned a lot about MMORPGs. I learned to not play them. Thanks for that too.

Good luck.

Hell yeah ! I can't believe they won't do something, thinking that when the weekend ends maybe the frustration will have pass and they will be able to peacefully return working hard on JTL.

Man I just can't believe all this period of time I was hoping for fixes they were actually working on the expansion, probably leaving a couple of dev working on jedi revamp to leave the impression they were actually doing something on the game... How frustrating

Hell has seven levels on the seventh level of hell. You can find swg devs saying welcome to heaven. You might notice alot of fire brimstone and torture. Our lord god is doing some renovateing so just try to go along with your torturer. We mean your guardian angel. Things will be better in six months time.

That's being optimistic, I have no reason to believe we'll have the GCW & Combat revamps within 6 months. The devs are incompetent/overstretched and SOE doesn't know good business sense if it kicked them in the balls

Try FFXI, it may not have a huge pvp element currently but the game is fun with challenges for all lvs. Its also very stable as bugs go. If you want something with a bit more sci fi feel try EVE online. They are putting out their first expansion pack in the next few months and guess what ITS FREE. Everyone that plays EVE are in the same world at the same time. I beta tested it and felt that it wasnt ready to go gold but after takin a second look at the game its clear that the dev's of it put alot of effort to fix the basics and expand from there.

Can next fridays feature be about astromech numbers again... i want to know how many players quit over this week

All i can say is i dont think it is right to go ahead with JTL while thing stand as they are. Fix combat and weaons, sort out some of the worse bugs in professions, then by all means get everyone working on JTL. Oh and a vet reward of a ship we will al replace sucks.
