I was granted 300k Force Rank xp yesterday but have no way to test anything with it because I'm just not a knight... just a lowly lightsaber novice.

Right now in the Light enclave ranks one and two are locked. It appears that people are dropping from the mid levels down intothe lower ranks. This makes it impossable for new people to even try to get voted into rank 1. I understand that there is a set amount of people that can be in the ranks but this is just silly. People with no intent to pvp at all are holding level 7 and better. That means non pvp people who will not go out and test are blocking those that are willing to test.
The voting process for entry is a guild takeover waiting to happen, this will be abused. We saw some abuse last night. It was like watching a bunch of highschoolers trying out for the cheerleading squad or football team.
The only way the local "new kid" gets in is if someone feels sorry for them. It has nothing to do with who you are, or how good you are at pvp, it's about who you know and who likes you.
The acceptance stage is bugged. The people with the most votes are not getting accepted at times. It's only happenedtwice that i have seen,so I have no idea how to recreate it.
There needs to be reprecussions for not acting in a "light Jedi" manner. Like killing the Sentinals outside?
As a light Jedi thats just wrong. Rp or no rp.
Last issue, last night I dueled a Master who should have been mopping the floor with me, as I am rank 0 Instead after a while we gave up he just couldn't damage me.
Our templates are close to the same, master Defense 4 0 4 4 saber and some healing thrown in.

I am still unable to vote at all for anyone at any time. Add to that I cannot gain force ranking xp at all.

Right, the mods from FRS ranks don't do much. You don't get new skills to cover up your weaknesses you still have from not having everything when all your skill pts are gone, and you don't get that much more powerful from the mods they give you either... If devs want upper level jedi to be cutting swaths through the crowds, how about a lightsaber damage mod like tka like they said they were going to do? Personally I think that should be in the normal lightsaber skills to begin with, not just at the master levels. The jedi council leader with a training saber should be more lethal than an apprentice with an awsome4th gen lightsaber right??
How about some diversity in the skill choices? PVP forces you into certain skill sets to be competitive, take a look at cloudgatherer's post about constructive criticism!

FRS system is messed up still, just tried again and it still has the same issues. Ranks don't give any helpful bonus, and even if you kill the entire jedi council, you still don't get half as muchFRS xp as you need to even get to rank 1... does that make any sense?

Council robes have no shoes and look like dresses more than robes, please change them.
No leader robe or robes with hoods, Friday feature shows hooded robes.
Petition stage should always be open if there is nobody in that Rank.
Voting stage should be over if everyone in a Tier has voted.
Rank members should get a email when council or council leader change or get voted in.
Unable to enter any rank rooms (We found that planet hoping fixes the issues), and would be nice if rooms labeled.
Demote feature for light side should be changed to a voting system. Right now the leader can demote everyone and there would be 20 rank 9 jedi.
There is no way to de-throne the FR Leader, maybe change to a weekly vote.
FR Rank offense needs a little tweaking. As Leader fighting a padawan battle still last forever.
Force progression doesn’t reflect current level after being rank leader then a member. You still get Jedi master title.

I have a Rank 7 Dark Jedi Templar on TC2 and I gotta say I hardly notice a difference from Dark Jedi Knight to rank 7 ( i dunno maybe iam stupid but i hardly see a difference if at all, please someone prove me wrong ), I dont see myself or others above me/below cutting down masses of overt people at all, took 3 ( me another templar and a opressor i believe) of us to take out a Padawaan because she kept healing herself on the floor, this took like 10 mins of us attacking nonstop to kill her.
They really need to do something to up Jedi VS Jedi damage and especially UP the OFFENSIVE power of anyone in FRS cause as it stands, Jedi vs Jedi is a draw almost all the time, several times i found myself fighting a jedi knight or some jedi and we just look at each other and say want to just give up and go back to our teams because this isnt going anywhere? lol
Tonight we had a HUGE battle in theed that lasted hours, Dark Jedi Knights/templars/opressors/masters- 2 Council members (the restare all QA offline -_- )vs. almost the entire Light Jedi Council+ their Chaneclor (all players)/masters and some random others MBH from both sides and padawans, and I gotta say we are all evenly matched unless everyone was attacking you at once.
Then there is the force ranking xp, I dont see how in gods name anyone can reach leader on live, there isnt masses of people to cut down overt wise/jedi wise to get the xp, and you cant kill the same people over and over, so really itd take months or a year IMO before we see a leader or council members. I was able to DB the chancelor or a council member and i got 4k,the second dbi believe i got nothing. And the amount of time people just get up and run away is insane, there is no solid way to keep the ranked xp comming in lol. Unless the Light Jedi agree to let the Dark Jedi kill them in some sort of rotation or vise versa I dont see how they are gonna get force rank comming in
Just my opinon here but they need to
1. Up saber damage or Jedi vs Jedi damage
2. Give offensive bonuses to FRS Jedi/make the stats/mods better per rank or noticeable
3. Give different robe stats/mods, for knight rank 1 and 5 they are the same robes /cry, and same mods on all robes
4. REALLY UP the xp per kill scailed to your rank, or add some other ways of getting force rank, not so much that you can become a leader overnight but so much as that it dosnt atke a year to do so.
Anyone got some constructive opinons?

Very good points Nox, Iwas thinking alot of the same things, but I never killed a council leader before. So even if you killed dozens of council leaders, you still wouldn't be anywhere close to even guardian... That makes no sense. Yeah, same thing for me, I can't tell the difference between any of the ranks. I think the mods only affect force power cost and effectiveness slightly maybe, so saber specials show no difference. I don't even know if they affect other force power effectiveness at all...
Saber damage needs to be straight up increased. Old school saber damage numbers, new school saber damage type, and fix armor piercing. Jedi toughness and saber toughness will reduce that down a bit as will force armor, so jedi duels will last longer than the first hit, but they'll at least end inside half an hour hahaha! But you can't just up jedi vs jedi damage, you have to increase it as a straight up increase. It wouldn't make sense that your lightsaber is MORE effective vs a jedi, than everyone else.
Personally, I wouldn't mind a reduction in toughness for a massive increase in speed, accuracy, and blocking/dodge/counterattack abilities. As people have stated, defense stacking templates of non jedi can get huge mods so that jedi can't even hit them... Thats where I think jedi should be. In the movies it was more like jedi rarely got hit, not that they were tough enough to walk away from being hit by the death star super laser... Even if the fight lasts just as long, I'd rather see 50 or more misses in a jedi duel followed by a single hit for 1000 damage more than 9 out ten attacks that hit for 17 damage. And due to buffs regenerating damage so fast, maybe we should add massive wnds to all hits from lightsabers (that would be going along with the low number of hits/high damage concept)
Just my thoughts / observations...

Hi G,
On friday night I had a chance to really test out the FRS ranking xp with a couple people that were more then happy to kill me to see how much rank xp they got.
I am currently on the Dark Jedi Council (rank 10)
An unranked knight got 1426 rank XP when killing me.
A rank 2 got 2171 rank XP from killing me.
A rank 3 got 3052 rank XP from killing methat had a pvp rating of 1284
A rank 3 got 3605 rank XP from killing me that had a pvp rating of 1236
A rank 4 got 5284 rank XP from killing me that had a pvp rating of 1177
I lost 4825 rank xp when getting killed by a rank 3 knight.
I got 450 rank xp when killing a rank 4.
The climb to Council will be a very long grind, whether or not this system works will depend greatly on PVP support within a persons server. To really advance you will need to kill several other players that are force sensative every day. Since the grind to get to this level is so long most players that even get a Jedi will not be able toget to this status of being in the FRS. Then if they get there, hunting down overt players of the opposite rank will take a long time of game play. This system will support the power gamers, which I believe are the ones you are trying to compensate with the FRS.
As a dark council member rank 10 with a templete of master sabar, master defense, and healing 4004, I dont get to see the added modifiers as much as other templetes. That being said, an unrankedJedi with his skills spent wisely in the Force Discipline professions is nothing to sneer at. It's my belief that a knight not in the ranking system should be a little more powerful then regular combat professions. They should always be able to win 1 on 1, but most likely lose if outnumbered. Then turn around and make the same for the ranked knights, but add a little to it, they should be able to confront a small group of 2 or 3 regular master combat professions, be able to win against an unranked knight but most likely lose if outnumbered by unranked knights.
A small edge in a mmorpg over another is worth every bit of time that you might spend to get it. I believe you are on the right track with this system being able to support the various types of game play out there. Things need to be altered, such as the effect force powers have on pvp being worthless and other things but this will indeed support the different type of gamers you have out there.
Whatever way it works out, it will be a long time before the FRS will be able to be supported on the live servers. There are simply not too many 4444 guardians on each server.
Thanks for making a game that me and my wife have been able to enjoy together.

The problem I see is that this system will benefit those Jedi that have nothing better to do all daythan play SWG.
The question is: what about the rest of the players? We have people that work, people that have families, etc... I think that a truly fair system should be designed around the "normal" player instead of the exception.
As stated by the devs, games are supposed to be fun, so is it possible to make a system that is more fun for everyone instead of just 11 people who have the luxory of being able to play all day?
I won't even pretend to have a clue on how to impliment this system, but I do feel that it is something that the devs should take into serious consideration...

This guy has a VERY valid point.......... ive grinded months to get 4444 gaurdain, where super power gamers have done it in weeks, AND has anyone noticed the super power gamers have very poor attitudes and will abuse their power.. THINK OF A DIFFERNT SYSTEM casue this will bring nothing but problems to an already dying game

dead horse - to the post above:
What incentive thendoes a person have to play the game frequently (10 hrs + a week) if there is no disparity between themselves and an individual that only logs on 5 hours a week? Why not just create all players with maxed out skills so casual gamers can have a good template too?
What solution would be better... a solution that rewards people for not playing as much as it rewards people for playing a lot?
Doesnt make much sense to me

Hi G, did a little more testing Saturday.
I was at rank 10 Dark Council Member and had a rank 0 knight kill me. She got 4768 rank XP and her PVP rating was 1547. I lost 4540 rank XP.
Dueled a master force power to see how choke was doing. My current templete is master defender, master light sabar, and force heal 4004. He had a hard time landing some of the powers on me but choke hit for 118-146 damage when i was buffed. Lightning also rarely hit me, but the times it did were 637, 575, 548, and 417 damage. Dueled him again unbuffed and he was able to stack weaken 1 and 2 and put negative mods on me from 300 to 400.
Also I accepted a challenge to my rank within the enclave.A player challenged my rank and I accepted and had him kill me. He got my rank 10 spot and I was demoted down to rank 9. I cloned at the Enclave and he had a TEF to me so I could have attacked him. I was still able to wear the council robe and still had it in my inventory. I took it off and was able to put it back on still.
Some notes:
Master Defender is no longera wise use of skill points. It went from being the best to being the second worst, just a little better thanforce powers. The main problem is that master defenders still get dizzied and kd'd too often and cant take the extra damage while laying on there backs when the toughness modifiers aren't there. The tree would be more useful in PVP if it was near impossible to KD or dizzy a master defender. Also, I noticed a huge difference in PvE with master defender. I was able to tank a death watch overlord before, something also changed in concerns to pve damage because I could not even come close to tanking one now. I was taking to much damage and had to keep healing myself, which brings me to my next observation...
Healing costs a lot more force then it did on Friday. Sorry, I was unable to get numbers for you, but it was costing a very noticable amount more force to heal myself on Saturday then it was on Friday.
Force Powers are still not worth much in PVP. Lightening is simply not accurate and choke is not powerful. I dont notice any damage with mind blast and weaken is worthless when your opponant is buffed.
Thanks again G,

PROBLEM
I don't think you get any credit as far as FRS xp if you play a support roll in taking down enemy jedi in the pvp system. For example, you don't directly attack the enemy jedi, but if you'repart of a group fighting a strong enemy, and all you do is heal everyone in your group and use drain force to weaken the enemy you don't get any FRS xp when the enemy is beaten...This isn't right, because as a support player in a group of attackers, you might actually be the most important individual in the group, the one person they couldn't have won without, but you get no FRS reward...
