"Mushroom" Syndrome

For those who do not know what this concept entails, it is when you are kept in the dark and fed a bunch of [self-edit]. And I think this is happening far too often in this game.

Content-specific things like dungeons and quests can be understood, but release issues like the space races should not be kept from the PAYING community devoting so much time to this game.

Thunderheart, I think it is high time that some level of attention was given to the fact that all of the FANS of this game and the Star Wars genre would very dearly like to know what the hell is going on, without all this cloak-and-dagger bull. Content releases, okay. Game mechanics and details, not okay to keep to yourself. It has too much bearing on the growth and development of the community and our participation in it.

Please cease the secrets when it comes to such matters, and start giving these PAYING customers some info.

Thanks you.

Armor Types and Functionality

Some attention needs to be given to the composite clone syndrome running amock in the galaxies. Since resources like cubirian steel never spawn at any quality, EVER, then such nice fashions like effective padded armor are being ignored altogether.

We need corrections to this situation and the addition of different artwork for armor types. I am tired of picking the most obscure armro color I can to try and bee different, and 20 minutes later seeing three other guys who look exactly like me.

How about a useable social interface.

The game has an excellent arrayof of social and mood commands. Yet the majority of the development time on this is utterly wasted. People do not switch from their full useable hotkey bars to their list of 'social options' to select an fairly meaningless picture macro.

Add another hotkey bar that can be placed at the side of the screen away from combat commands. Until this is done you have a set of social options that looks cool on a demonstration display, but due to the lack offunctionality in game-play are never used.

I want to go /bloodthirsty and scream out battle cries in a fight, to have (semi-) witty thank-yous hotkeyed in. But whilst these take up room on the main accessible combat/ food hotkey bars they will never be used.

Please forgive me ifideas like these have already been mentioned but I honestly didn't read all the post. That being said, here are my ideas:

- you need to implement many small mini-games that players can play together. Like allow players to play zabacc. (sp?). Does anybody remember the card game in Finaly Fantasy IIIV? Something like that. This would incourage players to intearact more and they could place bets and gamble.

- you could also allow player banks. They could pay interest, make loans (so poeple can borrow if they need cash to buy things on the trade forums), rent additional storage space. If someone dosen't make a loan payment, the bank could place a bounty on their heads that bounty hunters could collect.

- Make gambling more exciting. I've heard talk of the hutt casino. Put in things like black-jack, craps, roulett (faster than the damn things are now), etc. This would bea great way to get cash out of the system. Player cities could even have them.

- Make NPC's that sell things that players can't craft in game. Like the bestine museum painting but more prevalent. Have general stores where you could buy things that you can't get elsewhere (like wallpaper, house paint, emotes). As long as it's stuff that dosen't make other crafting professions irelevant. VERY rarely, stores could even have one-of-a-kind items.

Well, that's about it for now. I'll let you know if I think of anything else.

First of all when I got this game it was to play a Star Wars kind of game. Not some other Melee game MMORPG. And watching TKM and Fencers all over the place just totaly removes that feeling of playing a Star Wars game. If I wanted melee combat I would buy Everquest, UO, or some other game i this line (this is also a general theme in this post, reduce melee combat to a absolute minimum!). While I was watching the movie I did not see at anykind of hand to hand combat, the closest is part 6 when they are trying to assult the bunker on endor, here Han Solo throws one Imperial personal over his shulder (and pickes up a gun). Not at anytime in any of the moviesdid a TKA come and kick the entire imperial base including the AT-STs.

So here is a list of things I would like to see changed, in priority

  1. Make Melee very underpowered compaired to Ranged characters (please read on, before going berserk). Instead make them a requirement for Jedilightsaber traning. Make it so being TKA will stack with becomming a Jedi strong in the force, Fencingbonus withTwo Lightsabers (one in each hand), Swords bonus with a single Lightsaber, Pikeman bonus with Dual lightsaber. This way people who are traning to become a Jedi might still want to become a Melee profession in order to get the Lightsaber or Force bonus, but we will no longer see a entire squad of storm troopers being killed by somekind of melee weapon (this simply goes against evey Star Wars feeling the game provides).- This idea is from some other post, I just can remember where.

  2. Reduce the doctor buff to the maximum limit for the person race (or something based on ones current stats).

  3. Reduce shopkeeper spammers, detecting a spammer and log him out or just mute him (make the adverting on the planet mapsomething)

  4. Add a few features to the planitary advertising. Add a player vendor bulitin board where players can search and browse vendors, so it's possible to see what vendors have in stock before going out to the shop to buysomething.Sowe don't walkfrom vendor to vendor just too se they only are selling one or two items, this will alsobe a improvement to the Merchant skill (I know that it have been said that empty vendors will be removed from the planatary map, but this will just not work many players have one or two items title 'readme' or something in that order to 99999999 credits and those vendors will then still show up).

  5. Make it harder to learn languages (maxone or two per character - ofcurse extra for smugglers if not all languages)and autotranslate unknown languages to wird characters. And then implement a translator droid so we can see those C3PO kind of droids translating for people, so people with a translator droid will see all text as players said it.

  6. Increase housing limits, the limits are just way to low as they are now and they should be based on the number of slots and some form of quality (experimentation and resource quality)

  7. Armour rating caps 80% is just too much - lower them about 10-15% so the best armour is about 70%.

  8. Make the X-34 capiable to have two persons in it. Why have two seats if you are not going to use them (just make it so only group members can get in).

  9. Also there are two very exciting idea in this thread, the Warehouse. The warehouse should however not be a house in the normal sense it should not be possible to place (drop) item in it or descide how it looks. Instead should there be a terminal where one calles for binary loadlifter wich then comes with a create where one can place ones item in. There should be up to50 of such crates in a warehouse, each create should be able to hold 50 items - (making a total of 50*50=2500 items). Also the warehouse should come with one one binary loadlifter the other should be bouth from droid engineers. Each binary loadlifter can be named anything the player decide. Also no vendors in Warehouse.

  10. Many of thepistoleer skillsis broken (or useless) - hopefull with the Combat Balance and fixes of the special a pistoleer can shoot stuff again.

  11. Longer ranged forgranades and special attacks for commandoes (right now a TKM have longer ranges with his unarmed attacks)

  12. Make it possible forall types of characters to use granades or make a general granades class (perhaps change theunarmed to granade user). So commandoes just get extra bonus on range, accurcy and speedon granades.

  13. Non tantooine houses on tantooine (the generic houses just look stupid on tantooine).

Also i'm seeing aloth of people complaning about not being able to do missionssolo, this is as I see it something I would like too see more of, a MMORPG is not about solo gaming it's about team work meeting other people going on hunts with a group of other persons and/or ones friends. So please keep the requirement of non-solo for all the hard missions.

Also I'm seeing aloth of complaning about a combat balance I would like to say this is the best thing I have heard to date, most games is affarid of making major changes to there games, but if this is going to be a Star Wars game it need major changes. Sure there will be aloth of powergames who properly does not like it because their character is no longer "the best" in the game (hint to most TKA'er).

Keep up the good work.

Why is it, again, that this command cant lead you to an elite trainer? For those of us who do not want to change planets every thirty minutes when leveling up skills, this is extremely frustrating.

COuld we have this simple change made?

Cloning and Stomach Content

It seems perfectly reasonable to me that when you clone you lose buffs and enhancements, as they were not applied to the clone body. However, it seems VERY strange to me that a high-threat medical response team was dispatched to the site of your death with the specific goal of siphoning out the contents of your dead body's stomach, so that it can then be installed in the clone body.

Absurdity, anyone?

Can we please get this fixed? Cloning should reset stomach contents to zero. Pretty simple.

warehouses. they exist. new structure look. but no doors. operats like a factory input hopper, but thats it. and a storage limit to match. like 100 for small, 150 medium, 200 large . etc. something that doesn't cost a huge amount of lots with some decent storeage space. well something other than a house.

I agree. For example, itwould be great if all those featureless buildings actually served a purpose.

I'd also like to see an improved and expanded emote system, for both players and NPCs.We're so desensitized now to the same old emotes and moods that every single toon emulates...we need a wholenew array ofmotion captures, I guess.

Plus it would be so cool if we could customize our characters with apersonalized emote/mood set, so every singlecharacter isn't moving and behaving the same way all the time, sort of allowing each player to design their own personality.

More intimate emotes would be nice, as well. It would be cool if toons could actually touch each other when hugging and such, rather than just passing through each other like wraiths. It would add so much more'human'dimension to the game experience.

Jawa AI

I don't know about anyone else, but I have been waiting a long time to see the Jawa behavioral AI updated. When are they going to start trying to pilfer droids? When are they going to start taking swoops and speeders that have been left sitting in the same place for an hour while the owner goes running off to kill whatever without thinking about the consequences for their equipment?

I think this would add an entirely new dimension to NPC interaction when someone loses a swoop or droid to a Jawa one day, and then goes on a Jawa killing spree, thus dropping their Jawa faction, thus encouraging more pilfering.

What do you think?

I love this idea.

i was watching episode 1 the other day .. the huge battle scene on naboo between the gungans and the battle droids ... when i noticed a couple things that might be valuable additions to the game ..

1. they have those blue exploding grenades/balls ... they seem to be pretty powerful, and could actually be a useful grenade (unlike the bug bomb) ...

2. they also had some sort of slingshot to toss them .. perhaos this could add some sort of dmg modifier .. or increased range (schematic craftable by combined effort of tailor/ws ?)

3. perhaps the most compelling thing about the scene is the unusual horns that some of the gungans play prior to and during battle .. i would like to see these implemeted for master musicians . . have them playable during battle to add a mind buff or heal mind for group members.. or some sort of group combat bonus .. if necessary give the musician a tef when they play it ..

given the fact that all these thigns are gungan, i would propose that they be implemented in some sort of gungan theme park revamp .. many people have mentioned the desire for some sort of underwater gungan city, but i dont know how feasible that is ..
