Hey, TH... I've been trying to come up with a good solution to the TEF removal. Those Jedi that have been flaunting themselves in the middle of star ports because of the removal of the TEF system have been giving us all a bad name in the last day and a half. But, having the TEF made it very difficult to even survive hunting in the wilds.
What about something along the lines that using a force power, wearing a robe or even equipping a lightsaber in a Municipal Zone gives you a TEF. This could even help if it was only static cities. Thanks for listening!

I have mentioned this idea to quite a fdew people, and everyone, even Customer Service Reps think this is a good idea.
It is regarding lot usage in the game. I think the alloted amount of lots given is very fair, but the management of said lots is somewhat lacking. I propose a system which is an extension of your character screen. If you were just able to see what properties were owned and where they are, as well as what thier power status and maintenance status is. Perhaps also the amount of lots each item take from your lot pool, and the hopper contents.
I hope this is seriously considered.

Anyone ever consider allowing combat on mounts. Just because your riding an creature, doesn't mean it's incapable of fighting. Also you should be able to shoot while on it (possibly only certain weapons, like pistols). The same should be for speeders, only speeders should have a weapon you can fire. This would make for interesting PVP between 2 people on speeders, as they race through a forest firing at one another. Again, it also makes sense. This would also come in use in the Galactic Civil War. Vehicular combat, send in your speeders first to soften the enemy, and then send in troops. That bring up another point, Tactics. That would make the GCW way more interesting, if someone could be a commander, and use tactics to defeat the enemy. Stage big battles between rebel and imperials that consist of both AI and PC soldiers. Give the commander many resources in which to open up many different options of attack, and make battles more...interesting. One strategy not work? Think up another. Make it more complex then just full on attack after full on attack.
Finally some new speeders would be nice. Like the snow speeder from Episode 5 hoth.

The largest thing that needs to be added to teh game is a variety in the clothign that people wear as opposed to the constant use of armor, even if composite is nerfed to make it capa t 60% or so people will still wear it over anything else because it provides protection. I would like to see the game haev more variety by allowing armor layers to be put into the fiberplast panel slot on a tailor made peice of clothing and allowing that armor to protect the area covered, cap it a bit lower than normal armor, say composite armor is 60% cap tailormade clothing at 50%. Or make the clothing exclusive of an armor certification system. I itch for the day when we see people running around in combat wearing clothes, like in the movies, jumpsuits and pistoleers wearing pretty dusters inatead of everyone running around in teh same bland composite armor.
Armor layers == Fiberplast panels, hear my plea! Add some flavor to the game!

When JTL comes out will the ticket collector go away and we will actually be able to board the space shuttles?
Was thinking it would be neat to give your ticket and be able to get on the ship..have it take off...go into space...load to new zone and land...what do you think?

Ok, so when are we getting a bothan revamp? The astromech shows it's the least represented species in the game. Definite signs of imbalance there.
I've played a bothan since day two and though I enjoy it, I believe it needs some help. The species bonuses only apply if you're a rifleman or a ranger, elite professions of which I am neither. There are no defense modifiers, which would make sense for a small and agile being, and would soften the pain of having strength max out at 500. My wishlist for bothan modifiers would include +5 to ranged and melee defense, and a bothansneakskill (for all bothans)which would give us a chance to walk (not run or ride) unnoticed past hostile creatures and npc's. Others have suggested bonuses to politician, slicing, or underworld to match with our history.
Second major thing that would help the species is the artwork. I know the artists are all busy on JTL, but the fact is that looks probably matter most when it comes to species selection. My personal pet peeve is the heavy shadow on the lip of female bothans. I had to take a darker fur color than I wanted to try to cover this up. Many others have complained about the teeth, which has a tendacy to make us look more like country bumpkins rather than galaxy class spies and information brokers. Male bothans would like to have real beards similar to a rodian's frill options. Wishlist items include two-tone fur or hairstyles (there already is a second color selector for accessories, so why not?), ear jewelry, the little cosmetic diamond patterns that appear next to the eyes of the bothans in the concept art, and of course, new hair styles. The men think some of their styles look too feminine, and females like me want to know why there are so many nearly bald styles. In my own opinion, the "good" styles either make me look like a librarian or a girlscout, nothing suitable for having fun in the cantina.
For more ideas check the bothan threads in the core systems boards.

All changes aside (ie. the armor and weapon delay) the bigges tchange that hurts me the most is the Non-Tef'd Jedi. Now I can understand why they did it with the clone camping issues and people griefing them. Now for the Devs to totally remove it was unfair. The Jedi now have absolutle no reason to live in fear or hiding. This totally detracts away from what Yoda and Ben Kenobi were doing. So does this make Ben and Yoda cowards from hiding from Vader, well it must because I just saw 20 Jedi in Mos Eisley. I think the Devs should meet us half-way, remove Jedi Tef's while the Jedi are out in the wild, away from public eye, and allow Tef's while inside the confines of a city to keep these Jedi's from having the urge to proclaim themselves. There is supposed to be Galaatic Civil War going on...Vader has supposed to have vanquisehd the Jedi. This makes Vader look like a complete failure. " Hey Lord Vader, you missed about 75 Jedi in the coronet starport just now". I read a post ealier where a guy was hunting, and had Stormtroopers shooting with him, and he was a rebel. There's something wrong with that.
Thunderheart, Devs, Q-3PO, Sony Online Entertainment...I implore you, no..I beg of you....please, out of all the issues dealing with continuity of this game and with the Star Wars Universe, please, please, plese do not just throw this issue to the wind.
Thank you for reading,
I still hope,

ThunderHeart I was wondering since when Jedi block no damage is afflicted to them, same with status effects... why is pikeman block not as effective?
If this is a bug or what not could it be looked into? are pikeman ment to be cripple compared to other melee?
I mean we only take 50% of the damage and even though that is still a little bugged, it would be nice if pikeman had an equivilant block as jedi.

Story Arc Consideration
Spurned on by the live event that Pex did just recently with the Tuskens, I had an idea about using the Story Arc in the future. In the tusken live event, a RPG player association was trying to move from one city to another and have a reason to do it, so they had a live event to make a reason.
In the future, the time line will be advanced in SWG and I would hope that there would be a reason played out for this. This would be where the story arc came in.
Example: Thetime line has been moved so that it is just before RoTJ at this point. The story arc includes spy missions to capture news of the plans for the new deathstar. Imperials try to protect them and are trying to find the Rebels main base. This story arc wouldintroduce the new time period and give the transition a meaning and context.
Just a quick idea

With the recent Jedi changes, there is a greater chance of Jedi "showing off" in cities without much danger. While many of the Jedi changes are breaking continuity with SOE/LucasArts blessing, it seems to me that Jedi should still be strongly encouraged to be in hiding, particularly in Imperial controlled cities.
As part of the "Imperial Crackdown", can't this be tweaked somewhat to discourage showing off near starports and such? I would think any Stormtrooper hearing a lightsaber open would run to find out what's going on and would attack once they see the Jedi (as well as giving the Jedi a TEF once attacked).
I would also think that opening a lightsaber in town would be cause a massive hit on the Bounty Hunter mission terminals although admittedly I'm not sure how to counter the BH and Jedi friends helping each other get fast xp/credits. Perhaps if you just went with the Stormtrooper attention idea (above) and had those Stormtroopers call in reinforcements (lots of them) that would properly discourage Jedi from showing off and ruining continuity in that regards.
Maybe they could add an Imperial reweard for anyone turning in a Jedi.
When we see a Jedi we can run to some nice little terminal and call the Imperial scourge who appear very shortly, and goes for the named Jedi if he is till in the City. If anyone help the Jedi the scourge will call in reinforcements (more dark Jedi if Jedi helpers, and ST if none Jedi helpers). Just for calling in the Jedi you get something like 100 Cr, and if Jedi is killed by scourge you get a bonus depending on how powerfull the Jedi is (1000 Cr to 2000 Cr). A Jedi under attack of the scourge should be TEFed by all BH, who should be allowed a reward that depend on the percentageamount of damage they put into the Jedi.
It should not be safe to show of Jedi status in Cities. In player cities the players should themself decide if they want to set a terminal to call for the scourge.

FACTION ARMOUR: This post was taken from the Mos Eisley Roleplaying community on Chimaera
The more i think about it, the more i think the devs have totally screwed it up.
In order to wear faction armour, you need to become a faction member. You then have to grind up nearly 10000 faction points for the majority of your amour. You run off to the recruiter, excited to see how uber you will be with this on.... buy it.
fall on the floor when you see it only has 30% resists. Ie, comparable to something basic like chitin.
After the inital disapointment you think 'oh well, at least ST armour looks cool' and try and put it on..... not a chance.... you need to overt buddy.
Overt?????? you mean im open to attack by every l33t pvp'er out there?
yep, sorry. At least you have 30% resists ......
-------
now look at it the other way....
Hey, im a pvp. Gimme the BEST armour you got....
Sure... take this 30% stun 80% energy 60% other base full comp armour.
WOW... great, thanks. Whats the catch?
Catch? there isnt one... just put it on and go annoy some roleplayers.
-----------
So to recap, to wear the best armour in the game, there is no downsides. To make the game more star wars, roleplay in Stormtrooper or rebel armour, (pretty much how i expect the devs first saw the game...ie guilds of ST's fighting rebel marines), they give you the crapest armour in the game (except bone), and make you totally vunerable with virtually no chance what so ever of being able to walk around a popular city like coronet.

Just took up playing an Instrument just for some fun. Standing at the Trainer's and playing my first tune I came to think how really miserly the NPC's in SWG fare compared to other games I played. The trainer just stood there and looked at me like a skinned cat. Most other NPC's don't fare better (there are a few exeptions) In Starports they are often bunched together so one does not know what head belongs to what feet. (bad English by purpose)
At the combat trainer's most other games have some kind of maching animation. In SWG..ziiip..nothing but a stiff puppet not even smiling or frowning.
So my request is to make those NPC's look a little more alife please.
Also, why aren't there more NPC bands about town. There ought to be on in every cantina so the players can join in with the band.
Most cantinas look like graveyards (this includes player cities) Why can mayors not place bands into cantinas ?? So that at least one has a reason to not walk past those now empty places. Make the NPC bands give a slower healing rate or none at all but at least there is a tune to be whisled.
This game really needs a real goodCity and NPC revamp among the hundred-thousand other things that players wish to have changed and added.
What about employing a few more people so that things get moving a little faster then snail-pace
