Wihhaaa! GREAT news!

And now with the announcement of Padawan's to post-Pub10 unlockers, the hologrinders who DIDNT get the unlock should, if they keep the same policy as now,

be given FREE xp for boxes. Probably as many boxes as professions. 17 done professions (with all the holos included) = 17 free boxes.

Let's hope so.

Thank youmuch for the"extra credit", but even more thank you SO MUCH for the INFO! I hope this is a sign to the Devs how one little piece of info can wipe away 2 weeks of nay-saying, angstand speculation. Open communication cures a lot of ills in the community, I hope this is the first of many. Good work!

Ok, I'm a little confused. Does this mean that if you unlocked after Patch 9 you now have to wait 6 months for the village to cycle through just to do your Exit Quest ?

Can we get some extremely detailed information on how this is supposed to work a.s.a.p.?

It technicaly means that if you unlocked between P9 and P10 that you get Padawan.

Ive read some comments on people saying "Only completed HOLOS should be rewarded with FS xp" for people who have yet to unlock.

Now,I object. I started playing just before Pub9 was released and needless to say it took me a couple of days to even get to know about holos and such.

However as i progressed in the game I ofcourse got to know things alot better and eventually have now grinded 12 proffs (covette, warren, themeparks and so on.) WITHOUT any help from holos! I hope you see my concern. If you only give credit for holos, many im sure will be left in the dark.

Ive seen some pretty good theories on how credits should be awarded. This is far from one of them!

Don't know if this has been mentioned already (this is a big thread....)

Maybe the characters should be given their experience as you suggested JustG but..... They need to do the quests like the rest of us. After all its supposed to be QUEST driven now right?

BTW The right decision was made giving hologrinders aFAIR amount of XP and post 9 unlockers a full dose of FS XP.

To SONY: Post 9 Unlockers were told they were getting Padawans by your correspondents. Have some integrity and stand by these statements. Adding intro and exit quest is BS. We've already had to wait to even use our Jedi and we're also the first group to have to use our mains as our Jedi. We were told unlocking during the Post 9/Pre 10 period would give us our Padawan. Make it happen and don't make the times that you actually do proactively communicate with us become foul with lies.

To non-unlockers: Whether you didn't unlock because you ran out of time before publish 10, decided grinding was BS and YOU were not going to ruin your gaming experience by grinding professions that you, "didn't even like", or just plain ran out of gas into your 15th profession and decided you didn't have the fortitude to continue doing something you hated, hear this... YOU DIDN'T MAKE IT!!! Accept it and move on. I'm sure you put in a lot of time and certainly put in as much time as the early unlockers. That's pointless now. You were told by SONY that you would get some kind of credit for your effort. You were NOT told what kind or how much. So, if you're at the 27th profession right now and have really killed yourself getting there... You have a week, HURRY! 28 just might be it!!! The point is, there should be a huge bonus for actually unlocking as opposed to not unlocking. It's like a race you didn't finish. The fact that you started doesn't count but in this case, the devs feel like giving you credit. Take it feel lucky you got anything. Anyone who's at 27 professions right now is a huge risk taker anyway... Big risks mean big wins or big losses...

To Artisans: All I can say to you is, you knew the system back in December/January, when the holocrons were released. You knew what it would take to become jedi and you decided you would rather make lots of money selling to the grinders. In fact, grinders were your best friend. They drive the economy! Without grinders the prices would be MUCH lower than they are now and your wares would not sell like they have. With the JEDI revamp, you have the ability to get FS skills in your craft but you're whining about not having a combat skill to perform the quests. Since when did this MMORPG become a single player game??? Don't you have any friends? Good god! Get a damn group together(pay them if you have to) to help you. That's SO missing in this game as it is. Don't whine about not having some "CRAFTING" mission to get your FS skills.... This game is NOT all about doing everything on your own and if it is, then it might as well be a single player game.

To Post 9 Unlockers: To be fair to SONY, we were told that our mains would become force sensitive. Some of you are acting as if this is new... It's not. I do wish we could change this. I signed the petition about a month ago. However, there is another way to look at it. You've known this for over a month now. You've had time to get your character to some type of template. As it turns outit will help to have combat skills on our main characters to help protect us while we grind Jedi XP... It's just a thought. A new character has NO skills. That means completely starting over with nothing other than a training saber. Most are saying that you should have medic, TKM and Fencer for the defenses to help you grind as a Jedi. I think either way you look at it, you're gonna grind a new template for your jedi. It might as well be the one you have spent all your time with. For those who ended up with an artisan class or somehow decided to have their main character be a politician after unlocking(????) You have time! TKM takes about 12 hours of playing to master and medic can't be very hard either. Go get your template straight before next week.

Kudos for addressing holocrediting!

We will announce the proportional credit for those who have not unlocked soon. It will be fair as well.

Thanks,

Since it was mentioned in the Jedi Archive that credit will be given for each profession (source statement: The design goals for this work do include rewarding players for each of their completed professions), I'm looking forward to the credit system for the non-unlockers.

Just wanted to reiterate the different groupsthatis to be considered forproportional credit.

- You have theplayers who started on the holocrons and only completed one or two.

- You have theplayers that completed all 4 and got the silent holocron and decided to stop here.

- You have theplayersthat completed X amount of profession after the silent holocron.

- Then youthe players that is close to completing all 32 profession but didn't unlock.

- And then the unlockers, which you already announced will get the 6 full branches.

On another notefor thosewho are saying that 4+1 hologrinders should have the same footing for those who mastered beyond that and it was their choice to continue grinding.Read the following Q&A from the Jedi Archive.

I really *want* to continue my progress this month but now I'm sitting here asking... Do I continue doing 10 more professions this month in hopes that I'll really get "credit" for EVERY one?

We are paying particularly close attention to this issue. A specific answer is unavailable at this time because the work is still in progress. The design goals for this work do include rewarding players for each of their completed professions. When this work is complete and we have a specific answer, we will reveal that information in future Jedi Archives as soon as it is available.

Players continuedgrinding because the expectation of being rewarded for completed professions, sofolks who stopped at the silent holocron should not be on samefooting for those who continue to complete professions. You didn't have to stop grinding.

I like the idea of what you are doing Devs, just wish something would come out officalliy for those peeps that haven't unlocked yet on thier silent holo prof. I can't ask for to much, so this is good. If a DEV can respond and let us know, that's be great.

Peace to the Rebellion and to the Empire...nay, kill the Empire

We will come out with more info, and it will be fair.

But why not stop the grind right now? Just play! You are going to make it soon enough anyway, and the village is very fun!

Play at what lol, i'm open to sugestions theres nothing really to do in swg besides grind!

I hope thats not quite how it goes. Here's why: I did all my holo professions except my silent. I got to silent, did commando/tk and Loved it. I also loved playing the game (not hologrinding). Why should I get penalized for "playinjg the game"? Just because I didnt chose to continue the long boaring 'easy' grind and choose to play Im gonna get penalized? I only did 10 professions. I agree that someone who did 20 should get 'a little' more credit, maybe full credit for holo professions and 1/2 credit for non holos.I dont know. I just dont think its fair to penalize those of us that choose to play the game instead of being afk hologrinding robots.

Justg or any dev who wants to reply. I been looking and havent seen wither way the awnse to my question that I will ask in a minute. I have only heard rumor. Can someone post a link or tell me for those of us who have unlocked pre-pub 9 what happens to our main. I have heard we get the FS boxes etc etc. Do we have to do the quests? wil we have the chance to actually do the quests. I was personally looking forward to doing the quesst's with my main even though I already unlocked. That way I could experience both systems
