Seriously TH you don't actually expect to get any responses of people that think this is a good idea do you?

I suspect TH knows it's ridiculous...

I know Im going to get some crazy answers, but Im straining to hear those that want to weigh in with good information.

I would pay no more than 20-25FP for such a feature.

And please make sure that you can purchase it while still covert - otherwise defending surprise attacks (which is the only time most casual PvPers participate) won't happen, and we will continue to see the 50+ coverts standing around the Starport chatting while their fellow faction members get ganked.

Everyone was fine and dandy with paying insurance to have no decay after a pvp death but as usual, TH "miscommunicates" *caugh* bullcrap *caugh* and the devs apologize for being incompetent.

You can imagine how everyone felt when just today they are told that insuring your items would not take away the %1 decay due to a pvp deaths. As you see I don't post on the forums often but this has gotten out of hand.

So much for the galactic war, I have no chance against those super pvp templates but I did want a taste of it. I don't have the time or resources to buy million credits armor every week. I don't have the time to gain faction points for a 24 hour decay grace period when I only want to pvp for 20 minutes.....

So all and all I shouldn't expect much from the people who introduced holocrons and now have decided to change the system after everyone told them from day one it was a horrible idea.

I'm sickened. More than half of you are just coming the boards to scream about getting stuff for free. You don't consider the issues at hand, balancing gameplay, maintaning the economy. You are just here to 1) get your high by talking s*** to the devs and 2) beg for free perks. It's obvious many of you don't read any posts, you just type in abusive knee jerk mob mentality posts.

Look, it's really simple. By making stuff easier to get, it devalues that stuff. All your greedly little retarded minds can think about is how great it would be if you got XYZ. You can't even think one step outside the box, and realize that if you got XYZ for free, so does everyone else, and you are back to where you started... except the universe is filled with useless piles of XYZ everywhere that's worth nothing.

If you make your deaths meaningless by removing all penalties, it makes your kills meaningless as well. Don't you get it? You're digging your own graves. PvP will become pointless. "Oh jee... I killed him for the 100th time what's the point? He just respawns for free. Maybe asking for no-decay and free insurance was a stupid idea." Well, you probably won't be intelligent enough to realize your own mistake, and just blame it on someone else.

Just STOP for one sec, stop trying to figure out how to get more for yourself for ONCE IN YOUR LIFE... try to think about how to make an interesting and fun game.

STOP and think for ONCE IN YOUR LIFE abouthow long it takes for the average, rules-abiding casual player to earn the 600kcr to 2 million credits for a medium-grade to high-end suit of Composite armor. Now STOP and think for ONCE IN YOUR LIFE about how rapidly that armor will decay in PvP battles.

Yutz.

Now that whole thing was just to darn funny...

5 stars for you...

Did not have chance to read though the pages of replies already but think that if you are going to impliment the pass it should be scaled based on overt or covert as well as rank. Such as make it some scale of 1 fp for each rank below top rank for overt and 2 fp for covert. Or at least that same patern even if its 5 and 10 but a 2x for covert compared to overt and the scale based on rank would be the best way as encourages people to get rank and gives benifits for rank. Though if someone goes overt to get the lower cost they should be locked into overt for the day and not able to buy the cheap day pass then go back to covert.

Patch 7.... your freaking kidding me right??????

After SOE screws us over time after time after time, why cant you pay the jr program 2 hours of dam over time to give it to us NOW. Its not like we havnt waited before.. hell a 4 month wait in this game is a livley afternoon spent in the park. Someday your going to have to start caring ubout the suscribers, cause i'll be honest.. I think alot of people would rather the devil they dont know then the devil they know as SOE.. alot of games come out in april.. they are new and its easy to have faith in a dev team that hasnt repeatedly messed things up then wasted 2-3 months of your life waiting for them to fix a day project.

I have to be honest, the thought of this really makes my skin crawl. Why should I have to pay to be a good soldier, be it Rebel or Imperial? It just doesn't make sense.

Chances are I'm going to end up killed in PvP at some point and lose a bunch of faction on top of what I've already paid. Why waste a bunch of development time on something that should simply be free to begin with.

If death is a concern to developers, there are so many othergood ways that death could be made undesireable. Even the old corpse runs were fine with me.

If economy is a concern to developers, many of the posts I've read bycrafters say that the extra death decay really doesn't seem to be neccessary. Items already decay with normal use, enough so for people to take notice. Insurance is expensive and unfun in real life, and I can't see how thatcould translate into fun in a game.

There is no reward for PvP except for adrenalin and personal glory. In fact, manytimes it's a losing proposition. With every penalty stacked on top of countless bugs and imbalance issues, you're just making it more unpalatable for your players.

1000-5000 CREDITS.

TH, it's a rough job. You're gonna get it from both sides, the posters who think you're a shill for SOE and the devs when you do your job representing the hordes. Keep at it, dude, we all want this to be a better game. We need your help to have our voice heard in your organisation and sometimes what we want isn't what's best for the game and then hard choices have to be made, but as you've said, your job is to represent our viewpoint, so you don't have to make those decisions. Unfortunately for you that puts you in the firing line when many users want something, but don't forget SOE is paying you to represent us.

Case in point, 1% decay on insured items. I can't fathom why it can't be 0%, but the design team must figure it's for the best of the game and the community feels differently. Tell the devshow we feel and try to get them to tell you why it's not in the game's best interest so you can explain it to us.

You check in with your faction recruiter, purchase a day pass for faction combat (PvP and PvE), and for 24 hours, you will have no decay on your insured items.

How much do you think this should cost?

Stupidest. Idea. Ever.

Personally, TH, I think you do a hell of job. 50 % of everyone thinks something goo and the 50% that don't bi...complain about it.

Anyway.... I'm just glad that weapons don't decay. They're way overpriced. But that's my beef.

Moving on I think, 100 points of FP is good, that's a mission a day.
