Here is my idea- delay this until after the combat balance and the GCW revamp because it is nowhere near as important (well neither was the jedi revamp but hey what hte hell)

first of all, they aren't going to delay the jedi revamp no matter what anyone says.

Second, i think it would be cool if a player jedi could take on an apprentice and train them. I also like the village of aurillia, although I'm not quite certain of how well these quests from NPC's will work out, specially if they are "kill this mob", "escort this person".

as part as the path of a jedi i belive that a jedi knight must undertake a apprentice during his gameplay. The apprentice he takes well be the only apprentice he takes in the game unless they restart another account. This would simulate the movies and be exactly how it was supposed to be. This would also limit the number of jedi.

I think first after a certin skill or mastery has been met, you could go to a npc in imperial or rebel factions to train like do certin quests and have to duel other npc jedi's.

I have not yet mustered the fortitude to read all nine+ pages of suggestions, but I do have a possible suggestion for what it's worth. This post specifically asks for quest ideas, and not system ideas, but my suggestion bridges a bit of both.

In the story's an individual grows stronger with the force, well the only way you can transfer that to the game is by including a point system. The system allready has a faction database, but currently you only modify faction when completeing a mission in imp/reb. What about the idea that the jedi wanders the galaxy doing different quest, and with each one, he/she gains points in the different areas you mentioned, in the form of faction points, and then spends those points on trainers. This would make each persons path random (mysterious) the best walkthrough anyone could ever post would be one telling what kindof points they got from which quest. It would push people to search out quest and do them not for the gain in wealth or possesions, but for the right kind of points. These faction points could be kept unlisted and approaching a trainer would be a way of checking to see if you've gained enough points for a promotion in the ranks of the force. Social points for a social column, lightsaber points for a lightsaber column, explorer points for an explorer column

During this time period in Star Wars, Darth Vader was hunting down and killing any jedi. There should not be that many jedi trainers, and they should be in the most out of the way places. And if civilization starts building up around them, AKA player cities, they should relocate in order to save their own lives.

I'll try and refine this more and include some specific quest ideas.

Concerning the Jedi Trainers. It would be interesting if you could have training missions given to you by characters such as Darth Vader or the Emperor for the dark side of the force. on the other hand, possibly a "ghost" Ben Kenobi could give missions. He would appear at his hut to FS characters. Thats just my idea.

I think that you should have to master an elite profession before being able to start the path... then that elite profession should be the basis of your quests. Mastering a new class should NOT be a part of the quests no matter what.

That being said... the first path should be along the lines of preparing to go beyond your Elite Master Ability. To show your preparation you must prove Dilligence, Effectiveness and Dedication within your profession. Dedication can be similar across the board, as a monetary/item basedreset button. Perhaps even include a money cap similar to the one in the free trial accounts for a while. In any case, using these three tenants you combine them into quests for every class...

Upon the start of the process, the game must begin to tracka record of how much cash you have on hand/in bank which is recorded throughout the quest.

Swordsman (or any combat proff):

You meet a force sensitive swordsman who sends you on quests. First, you are sent to defeat a Master Swordsman to prove your worth. Once proven you are sent to acquire a new two-handed weapon that is loot on mob X. Now that you have your force training blade, you must use it until it is all used up (out of points, broken, unusable) and return to your force sensitive trainer. Impressed at your dilligence, you must now show your effectiveness and defeat creature X. Now that you have shown your dillegence, and effectiveness, you must show your dedication. You must clear off all of your lots. You must destroy all of your belongings in possession and in safe deposit boxes. Finally, you must payto your trainer cash money equal to the highest level that you had during your entire quest.

Crafter:

You meet a force sensitive crafter who sends your on quests. You must show your dilligence. You must hand craftx number of yitems with the exact same statistics. You show your effectiveness:You are given a new, unique, non-transferable schematic depending on crafting type and have to gather quality level X resources of all different types to create this super item which must be of quality level Y when compelete. This schematic will require a great deal obviously, and can be a quest to fulfill in itself. This shows your effectiveness. Finally you must show your dedication. You must clear off all of your lots. You must destroy all of your belongings in possession and in safe deposit boxes. Finally, you must payto your trainer cash money equal to the highest level that you had during your entire quest.

Entertainer: Dilligence: The Entertainer must heal X amount of battle fatigue in each cantina throughout the major cities of the galaxy. Effectiveness:The Entertainers must learn certain combinations of flourishes to perform to certain mobs in various cantina's around the galaxy. This information can by following an information trail from cantina, to hotel to cantina throughout the galaxy. Each mob may even have a small quest to be acomplished before they will allow the entertainer to perform. Dedication: You must clear off all of your lots. You must destroy all of your belongings in possession and in safe deposit boxes. Finally, you must payto your trainer cash money equal to the highest level that you had during your entire quest.

These three themes can be developed for just about any class.

What in the world are you smoking? When did the people who popped their FSCS destroy everything on their main character??? NEVER! I mean most of it sounds cool, but destroying all my sh_t just isn't something I am trying to hear. Clearing off all your lots is fine, but destroying everything that I had to earn and buy, that took since launch, is just ludacris. Just my 2 cents on what you posted. I mean, just because someone unlocked before me doesn't mean I should get such a harsh penalty because I want to get my jedi character. I have been through 14 professions, and am still trying to find out what professions I want to keep or get rid of. That is just me. I don't want to see that the quest to get jedi should take me another freaking year to get. But I also want to see that they take some thinking and a little bit of time.

First off thank GOD the hoo grinding is, gonme, no need to discuss howe much erruputable damage it did to the game. I would lke to dive into force sensitivity slots.

An interesing idea i had brewing in my head was the creations of approximately 100 npc's (50 light /50 dark)in random cities throught the galaxy, when a char is created they are given2 numbers and that is there jedi quest giver. To prevent the immediate release of all 50 quest givers they appear as normal citizens to any person that is not the intended target. Have them start out by giving a random set of like 5 quests, like many of those random , deliveries for minor rewards, after completing them they will annonce that they feel the foce within you or something along those lines. depending on wether you have picked your light side or dark side teacher depend on the next steps, The quests should be increasingly dificult, and drawing a person deeper into there realm of light vs dark, for example a darkside quest may be to go kill 100 jawa or obtain a -5000 jawa faction score, wheras a lightside one may be to attain a +5000 jawa. more dificult quest could be completing the SMC or NS quests, or the theme parks. I think the path should be long and tedious, it should make a light side player rely on the help of others, and perhaps a darkside character to become self suffcient, perhaps focing them to change professions to attain something.

hmmm... the personal jedi thing sounds cool, but there were no jedi hanging around helping out the new guy. And the bh camp jedi trainer would cause a problem. Maybe have a blue glowy should up and direct a person to a random npc's whichnormaly gives quest, butinstead of the normal questthe jedi potential wouldget a jedi quest.

It would also be nice if the player was not able to choose the dark or light side, but the choices the player would make with npcs would decide.

See evidence of vader's hunt for the jedi would also be nice to see. Maybe in the later missions vader might even show up. Making the jedi mission a "run for your life" kinda thing.

yes definately i was appalled to see a light side jedi coming out of the jinda ritulist cave after slughtering all the ewoks, , then he had ther nerve to ask me for a hand, i looked at jhim in disgust and refused to heal him as he was being swarmed by aboiut 20 ewoks, all i saw were dark side points ticking away. remeber the dark side path should be quicker and gain power faster, and be less fogiving in actions of kindeness, but a light sided jedi should be more defensive, BUT in the end be able to whip a dark jedi's butt hands down, but straying from the path will have consequences, killing ewoks may force you to the darkside, and have your trainer refuse to train you further until youi atone, perhaps when yopu go to train instead of training you askill you lose your last skill, and must now locate your path back to the light, OR embrace the darkside (as a darkside trainers location will become known to you, and forever leave the light)

I like the sound of having an instanced city where only the invited are alowed to enter the main gates, Guarded by sentinels and other large ham nasties with also a keypad term that the code is only given to the potential jedi.

Once inside the city there u find ure mission givers and personal trainers where u have to then travel outside the city to complete said missions be it combat or delivery..

You would remain wlecome in the city until you have spent all your sp on force skills at which point you would then have to take the knight trials whatever they incur but b 4 you do this you must fight ure npc trainer in a short story line in which you get to decide if you fall to the darkside or stay light jedi..

Would be fun to actually have a story to help you decide how best to play your jedi instead of just think well he has gone dark side so i will.
