Thread: In-Concept Open Discussion (Week Ending 3-22-04)
Although I guess this would be considered minor items, but what the heck! I mean verticle item movement made it in ! Hooraay! ![]()
*First thing- The ability to slide items left and right. Ever had that painting on the wall, but it was too close to the guns, but you couldn't get it to move without leaving the wall? Well this would be a nice thing.
*Other thing- House light brightness level control. When I walk into my house, it's almost as if I was still outside under the bright sun. It would be controllable from the structure trerminal. I'd like it whereI can dim the system lights so that the lamps and candles really do provide a nice effect.
And Dual Weilding weapons
MORE DROIDS (Droideka) etc

Yeh there definitely needs to be more bounty hunter experience for doing missions because the later missions can take forever just for 503 bounty hunter xp you might have to wait for 4 **edit**tules and go though 10 driods so please make the pay off a little better.
Also i think that The bounty hunter should get damage increases to the carbine and pistol skill trees much like how the teras kasi gets plus 10 to unarmed damage the bounty hunter profession should get plus damages to pistol and carbine skills because the knockdown skills only last for like a fraction of second and do not work half of the time.

This idea isn't a perfect fit for this thread, but, I've looked around and cannot find one more appropriate, so......
It has been said before that the Test Center is woefully under populated. I have noticed that the Devs have tried a total server copy to entice players to play on it. I have also noted that there have been 'buddy keys' for free trials of the game. Why not merge the ideas and make the Test Center a free server? This way people can get a taste of the game knowing that they will not have a persistent character. Theycan see how the mechanics work, the graphics look and hopefully get hooked on the game. Also, this would give SOE/SWG a larger beta team to test the system on. Just thought I'd pass this on.

I would like to ask for the final plane of movement for objects.
Could you guys also add /flip 000-180 so that we may rotate objects through the horizontal plane. This angling of objects would allow even more creativity in interior design, such as crossed swords on walls etc. I know it may seem trivial to most but there are some of us that would love it.
I'd like to add to the harvesting request...
Demand for creature harvested stuff is far outstripping supply. Harvest needs increased. There were several proposed items in the SotP for Rangers that dealt with this.
- Increase the percentage overall, especially for Rangers.
- Allow harvesting of more then one resource. Just why would we leave the bone after stripping the hide?
- Give us a trap-harvestor. The idea would be we would have an ability to find the migration patterns on a planet and put down a trap that would "catch" animals. We could lay that down on one planet and hunt on another, catching "in-shift" stuff in both. This would be like a beaver trap in the days of the Fur Trade.
At least the harvest increase could be done. That "Vegash" or whatever you call it is pathetically inadiquat for the magnitude of the problem.
Ok after playing Star Wars Galaxies fora few weeks heres a few things I would change or address if I was a evil genius in charge of the Devs.
A obvious change/addition: Medical sign in terminal (In Med Centers): Entertainer sign in terminal (In Cantina's) and a Smuggler sign in terminal (In Tatoonie Cantina's) What these do is simple any player looking for a med. center that has a medic for example just logs onto any medical sign in terminal and does a search of the planet or whole galaxy. WHY: It would make it easier for people to find medics and entertainers and smugglers (for splicing equipment) and when someone that is signed in say as a medicleaves the med center they are signed off the medical terminals. Very easy to impliment and the various proffesions would love this as it would bring them lots of customers its a win win for both partys.------Also I would put a Bazaar terminal in the medical center and cantinas to attract players to those locations: IE more social interaction.----Also Medical Centers should be a No Combat zone, and you cant enter if your in combat.
Other things that need to be Addressed:
Armor: The whole system is messed up and needs to be fixed
Some of the armor is so worthless that noboby at all ever wears or uses them unless its for a fasion statement such as "Marabri" that has on average protection of 5%-10%, This should be raised a bit. Also on the opposite spectrum evryone that is a combat type wears only, ONLY composite and again the reason is obvious in that its the only heavy armor out their. Their should be OTHER HEAVY armor choices that can use existing armor graphics just change the name. You also might want to have armor get "Wounds" from time to time and a certain stat is lowered untill fixed. ----More Helmets
Buffs: This is wear Star Wars really needs to take a second look at their system
It is far to easy to get really maxed out armor, Doc buffs and food buffs and be near invincible. Their should be a Cap on how much a person can be buffed in protection for various things say at 80% for heat, and a TOTAL max cap for all the buffs combined say at 400 or something. All Protections will be taken into account such as Armor, spices, food buffs ect towards that cap. After that cap you dont recieve any benifits from whatever your trying to buff. ---Their should be a Attack all Fighter types can use too "Debuff" someone that does little damage and may take away some or all buffs, this gets better as the fighters skill goes up.
Faction Revamp: We all know that people are screaming for this one and we know you are aware of the problems but still heres some thoughts
Everyone wants to be able to display their RANK----Nobody wears faction armor because frankly the faction armor is worthless at 30% protection when their composite at 40% as high as 80%, As a result everyone looks the same on both sides with only color variations. Solution: Add Heavy Faction armor that is in the realm of wear composite is & possiblyLight armorusing the Uniform graphics, Noncommuniform 10% protection, Officer uniform 15% protection High Officeruniform 20%----Alsothe faction armor should have sockets----AAT-ST repair requestthat fixesthe AT-ST(This is nota item but is done right on the spot and only at a Imperial Base)
Also some other Idea's for Faction:
1.Able to call in AIR SUPPORT-- easy to do as I already see Tie Fighters flying around overhead. This isa Faction Pit wear players spend faction points forperks. This is a Item bought with faction and only one can be bought at a time.
A. Air Strike--About 30 seconds after the Air Strike is used a Fighter flys overhead and all enemys in the area recieve damage (Mild Damage)
B. Bombing Run--About 30 seconds after the Strike is called a fighter flys overhead and a single target is hit (High Damage), but Players cannot be targeted only Pets and NPCs or turrets (Turrets have a chance of knocking the fighter out/no damage)
C. Orbital Strike (Need Officer Rank/Imperial only) Same as a regular Air Strike but no fighter flys overhead (Medium Damage)
D. Call for Reinforcments--Strike squad of 4 regular trooper (Need Officer Rank and these are not pets and go away after 10 minutes of no comabat)
E. Call for Reinforcments 2-- Same as a Regular call but more beefed up and a higher rank is needed
