Thats a great idea. We could trade in out un-needed XP points for AP points. Say 1 AP point for 1000 XP points.

Id like to see a NPC vender that lets us BUY apprenticeship points, its so hard to find people sometimes to train them in and not to mention all the Macro yelling that happen in starports and Cantina's.
i know this wont stop that but it will make it easier and maybe cut down some of the Lag and other things within this game, would also help jedi BTW.
Faction Armor when can armorsmiths make it and when can we wear it?? thats a HUGe things everyone wants is if your imperial to own a set of faction armor and it atleast protect you and for Rebels to get a revamp on there armor style and for them to be able to make it.
I meant 10 AP points for 1000 XP points.

Ideas to improve server latency and to ease database usage/storage:
1) There have been many ideas to raise the stack values on crates and stackable items such as resources. This can help with database issues, for example: lets say you have 1000 units of item X in one or more crates. If the max stack is 1000, you have 1 entry in the database for it, with all its attributes. If max size is 40, you now have 25 entries for what could be considered the same exact thing. That repeats the same attributes (stats, names, locations, etc) 25 times. Doesn't that waste storage? Access time? Although this is a very small example, if extrapolated to all the servers and tested, I would think there would be a lot of memory saved.
2) Dealing with shuttles, there are a lot of frustrations, concerns, and server lag possibilitys. First, shuttle hopping across the galaxy isn't fun, and can be terribly frustrating if you keep missing shuttles. If one could buy a single ticket, even at an increased price, for the full trip, what would it solve? Less player downtime at loading screens, and shuttle waiting. More credits back into the system. Less server transfers! Why trasfer all your character and inventory data, from the Lok server, to the Tatooine server, to the Corellia server, to the Talus server?? All that waiting, that transfering?!? One quick transfer would save SO much bandwidth, wouldn't it?
These are ideas mainly from other ppl and other boards, but hope they one day can see the light of day
I have a few new things I would like to see...
Mandalorian Armor - You guys said this would be put in game in the first FAQ, but I've only seen NPC's with this armor (Boba Fett and the Rodian freak) and you also said it would be rare, and hard to find. We definately need this put in game...
Dual-wielding pistols - I think that there's no reason to use pistols unless we can use two. I don't see how this would be a problem, but maybe you guys could decrease the accuracy when we have to equipped?
Holsters and slings - We want to be able to take our pistol and put it in a holster, and have some sort of slong to have a rifle or carbine hanging on our back. It seems quite 'un starwarsy' when our weapon disappears.
Hoods on cloaks - We should be able to put up our hood when we wear a cloak, and maybe it would make us anonymous when we had it on. I see no reason to wear a cloak if you can't put the hood up...
Jetpacks - I know only Boba and Jango had jet packs in the movies, but perhaps they could be some sort of transportation? Maybe like a speeder, but slower.

Would it be possible to have a major release where the main overall theme is fixing everything thats currently broken.
I understand people are screaming for new content, and some new items, however, I believe the vast majority would be willing to play the current game if all the major and minor bugs were fixed.
In my experience, I don't know anyone willing to quit this game because of defense stacking, the economy/crafting, bleeds, etc.
The only reason I ever hear that people leave this game for, are all the bugs, some of which have been around for nearly a year, and are simple to fix.
I personally want to stick with this game, and there is so much to currently do, but the bugs make it a nuicance. For instance my main goal is to have a set of RIS armor that is actually quite capable. I held off making it until the stat shift was fixed. Now that is fixed and they have a new set of vulnerabilites which may or may not be a bug. Furthermore, the RIS components are going to be heavily affected by the upcoming change to crafting.
I would have been extremely happy if all they did was fix the stat shift and just leave it the way it was.
Even as an accomplished jedi, I would prefer the bugs be fixed before a new jedi system is implimented. Once again if the current bugs in the profession were fixed, it would be much more playable and enjoyable.
I understand the need to balance, as I have been a developer of other games before as a hobby. Sometimes the interest of the player has to take a backseat for the better of the long run game.
However, I feel that players are much, much more willing to accept balance changes and new items, when what they currently have is working fully.
This game does have a bug list that I am quite sure could fill an entire release, and I understand that a certain amount of resource is dedicated to those fixes. I propose though that for an entire publish, 100% resource is dedicated to making the current game work simply by only fixing the bugs. This is the greatest thing you can do for the dedicated fan base that really wants this game to succeed.
AMEN !!!!
Push back this Jedi Revamp (which is for a minority of the population) and do a General Fix Publish to fix all the continuing bugs in the game.
I was in a starport last night and had a discussion with another player who had just slid across the Shuttle area while waiting. He said "I guess that's why no one sits down anymore, so you don't slide. You'd think after a year they would have fixed that by now."
This is what frustrates the long time players (and the ones who have quit) not lack of Content really. I have been playing since launch and I still have not done everything possible in the game.
The people who complain about lack of content are the short timers. They are just playing to acheive posessions and Credits, not to actually play and enjoy the game.
Is new content nice? Yes. But lets fix all the current bugs that have been arround since launch.
Jedi is a minor % of the population and they are getting re-vamped already? before Smuggler, before Commando, before Squad Leader, and countless other professions that have been in the game since its launch? That is just a slap in the face for all of us who have played this game since launch or for any length of time. Jedi should be the last profession on the list to get revamps or fixes in my opinion not the first (as it seems it is).
I would actually like to hear why the Devs feel that Jedi warrants such attention. Why do you feel it is so important to fix that profession and not the countless others that are broken that have been that way for alot longer? Along with being more important to fix then the countless bugs that have been in the game since launch? Please Explain this to me because I do not understand.
Thanks
Actually, the Clone Wars mini-cartoons showed Kenobi wearing Clone Trooper armor in one episode.

I would really love to see some elite professions and have more points to keep advancing. I.e. above master swordsman maybe have elite swordsman, or something to that effect. as it is now, SWG has a lot of masters with nothing else to advance in.

I like this idea, SWG-AED should have the ability to have Epic style characters. In other words, sort of like Jedi but not once a certain line of proffesions are mastered some extra SPs are thrown your way to put towards either other professions or an uber profession.
