Doh! Last minute request.


Can we get a item total counter somewhere to look at? Like on any open vendor? Total items on THIS vendor and total items on all vendors?

Some answers from a lurkin' programmer



Question: Do you actually have to place additional vendors to get the extra space, or will the capacity of any particular vendor only go up when additional vendors are placed?



I.E. Will a Master Merchant who only has one vendor get the full 4,000 spots?



A: You do not need to use all of your allotted merchants to get the full item limit. A Master Merchant could choose to have only one vendor with 4000 items.




What can't you just use your normal vendors to receive items. That's what I do. I don't think offered items count toward your cap.

FWIW, this isn't even a Merchant Revamp. These are just items associated with the back end of the commodity server that touched the Merchant profession. In the future, we do want to add more tools to improve a Merchan'ts ability to do his or her job and do it in a secure way






Ahhhh. I must have missed reading this information, I know I thought it was part of the Merchant Revamp, that was actually discussed some months ago.


It wouldreally help with Community Communication if more facts about changes were given by Devs, rather than you all justassuming that we don't need to know details,which ends up withthe Communityassuming that a change is due to something other than what it really is, and getting upset about it for the wrong reasons.

TH, one thing that hasn't been commented on is how the stockroom works. I haven't been a merchant for a while, but when I was it was a guessing game on when items in the stockroom would disappear. Can something be done about that with this patch? Make it a hard limit, and add a notification e-mail?

to head off anyone who starts getting concerned ... there is a limit it's just not related to the merchant.


Offered items are counted against theperson who is offering the item (the bazaar offer limit of 25 that we all have). So any one person can only have 25 offers at any given time across all the vendors in the galaxy.

If i see one more person bow to people who drive out people with one account out of the game im gonna vomit. I really cannot believe this. Im a Hard-Core Master AS HARD CORE that mean i live and breath the crap... i dont check the rescource page every 4 hours for fun. I dont set harvestors and spend hours surveying for fun... i dont spend hours upon hours getting amazzing succeses on layers and segments to make 2-3 day factory runz so i can make enough armor so i can have a 2 day break from things and chill a bit. Yet now i will be REQUIRED to pick up skillz that will take away from some combat and harvesting skillz that i sorely need just so i can take a break every so often. Ya this will make my role in the non-exsitant GCW now completly obsolete. At least i could take a couple hits befor i went down while Having Master AS... now ill be throwing armor segments and broken vendors at them.


I would love to know how many people who llloooovvvee this change have multiple accounts. Well super de freaking duper for u jack legs who have money to piss into the wind. Last time i checked i was paying 15 bucks a month to play yet now to have any viable combat profession worth having you have to have 2 accounts. TH and Mike..... i know you went home patting yourself on the back when you read the first page of this post, well sorry to remove your warm and fuzzy feelings in your tummies but for love of god, your FORCING PEOPLE INTO A PROFESSION. Jesus H Christ its hard enough to find Bioengineers for tailors and Chefs and now were having to find merchants as well.... people already get ripped off by the crafting professions and now they have to pay the extra % so the merchant will make a nice profit to.


Remove the inactive vendors GREAT... thats a good idea seriously.. Take names off maps for non masters FINE... thats a good idea... I started my AS career through word of mouth and sell some if not most of the grind and HighEnd POI comp on my server for the BEST price i dont think ive been beat. You said TH that you would like people to be able to rent vendors form merchants in the future or something to that effect and then you put a cute little lovable smiley face after it.. mmmm how lovely. Heres a thought.. WHY NOT PUT THESE MECHANICS IN FIRST? I mean dont you usually put he spice on the steak before you cook it? Now by the time you actually put this mechanic into the game (beleive it when i see it) youll have already lost multiple accounts from people tired of getting smacked in the face with needless overpowered nerfs (FIXES, gimme a break) that have for the time being no alternatives but to drop crafting alltogether or stop being able to participate in anything but having staring constest with factories, making love to your DRAKEN RAUHL 43.04 (think thats it?) crafting station, or trying to find a merchant that wont give you a bad name selling YOUR armor to YOUR customers and not offering the same service asYOU gave them.


Maybe next time youll put mechanics in before you decide on screwing us poor crafters that have to live with one account and not want to run janta mission 24/7 just to have some cash in our pockets. Im really gonna do my best to live with this nerf when it goes live. BUT I SWEAR TO THE BIG GUY things better happen fast in getting a viable salution to being able sell our wares without playing the dice role if a merchant is gonna screw us or not or raise our prices so high that people send me hate mail asking ME why my merchant is Screwing them or sever actions may have to be taken up to and iincluding finding a new place to blow my 15 bucks.

Its really nice to hear about a DEV taking the extra step in giving the players what they want.

I would like to say congrats to the in Merchants for the increase and fixes.

I would also like to say Great Job programmer Mike. They should give you a FAT raise for the extra work.



Now would it be possible to have this great programmer MIKE look into the TEMPORARY Bounty Hunter jedi mission nerf / fix that we got during the last publish. I would really be more thankfull for the Merchant fix if i could earn enough money to use there vendors.


Could the DEV's atleast add a sign that Bounty Hunters can wear that reads "Will work for food".

Is the issue of vendors using vendors for storage addressed?

I am fine with the fact that you fixed vendors, so that only merchants can sell stuff.
But I have a problem with giving merchants the ability to have 4000 item storage housing.





Understand JEDI EXP (exp based on normalized kills)

Odd??? 20 minutes after i replyed to this big pile of steaming SWG money making endevor the thread was reposted with my original post deleted by TH.... hmm TH did i say something inparticualar that you took as a personal insult to? Or did i stumble upon a a certain topic that you may not want people to think about know? I cant seem to find my post in the 4 identical threads that were umm edited then rereleased it seems. Drive the number of accounts people have to have TH and Mike to be able to enjoy the game.


All those crafters out there who only have one account... lets say goodbye to the days were we could actually have a little fun in the non-exsitant GCW or go out and god forbid collect some of our own rescources. Or maybe just maybe find that one uber item you been looking for so u didnt have to craft for a month to afford it. PLEASE REALIZE WHAT THIS IS PEOPLE. This is intentioned for all one account people to blow 30 bucks a month instead of 15....... not hard to figure out.


Before you fix something MIKE and TH maybe you should insert the mechanics into the game first to offer alternatives to forcing to get other accounts or dropping so much of the combat profs that you couldnt kill a gubbor to crafters. This is a slap in the face.

Remove empty vendors is fine.... remove planatary maps for non masters.... fine but to completly shut down some crafters businesses and force them to stop having a little bit of action with there char just to drive up the revanues that go into your companies pockets is at the very least shamefull dishonest and completly outrageous. Unless you institute VERY SOON a way to be a crafter and sell your wares without getting jipped by merchants to sell your stuff my hard earned money will no longer be going to your wallet..

Dont remove this post pls people at least should be able use the forums for the game i blow 15 bucks a month on.

When I make a run of 20 crates of Vasarian Brandy it takes 82 items in the ingredients slot:

-20 crates of casks

- 40 crates of Alcohol

- 20 crates of BE additive

- 1 stack of berries

- 1 stack of fruits
