Ever notice a lot of Dev threads get started around quitting-time on fridays? Five or six pages of responses get generated over the weekend without a dev reply, and that gets irritating from a player perspective. If the devs are going to ask us questions, and many of us jump at the chance to speak to what appears to be a "live body", we'd appreciate a little evidence that the message was received. JustG will be sitting at his desk tomorrow flipping through some of these responses I'm sure. His eyes will probably glaze over about a third of the way through, he'll go grab some lunch, and promptly forget about responding to any of it. Can't say I blame him some of the time. Others though.. well thought-out responses, even the ones that ARE full of pi** and vinegar but have valid concerns and offer some constructive response.. when those go unanswered, it makes me angry. Can't expect them to respond to EVERYthing, but a little more visibility can't hurt.
Show us our concerns are at least being heard. Thunderheart, bless the man, he tries. He tells us he'll bring things up in meetings. That's great, but I can only imagine how thick his stack of notes are for each of those meetings at this rate. Have you guys fed him since the superbowl? We need three or four of him. One to take the notes, one to give us the "I'll bring it up at the next meeting" lip-service, one to go to the meetings, and the fourth one.. this guy's key, the fourth one gets to tell us what actually HAPPENED in the meeting. That fourth TH has been missing for a long time.
Exactly what I have been saying for a few months... TH has too many "hats" to wear, and the lack of Dev communication on the weekends, when most players play the most is disheartening. Case in point... this past weekend... not a SINGLE Dev post on Saturday or Sunday.

Post something about a competitors game and get it deleted. Post something about how stupid the DEVs are and the post gets deleted.
Are the DEVs or forum admins so thin skinned that they cannot take negative feedback, even when that feedback represents the majority of the community?
Obviously yes they are. Although I doubt it has anything to do with being tight skinned but rather the grand strategy behind all this.

Grow a set a post why you are deleting my post. I was begining to think I was in the minorty, but it looks like all the negative posts are being deleted. Therefore someone, don't know who, is trying to keep the responses positive. Please explain yourself.
Has been like that all time. Shows you how much they care about you when you don't function as a happy fanboy.

We have made a decision to address major combat issues only and not do the full combat balance at this time (...) We will release this one when it is ready... and not before.

Smuggler revamp
>> Smuggler is imo the most broken prof ingame since it promises so much but delivers almost nothing. I think it's different from the way ie pikeman is broken because Smuggler is so much more than a couple of special attacks. It's good that this revamp comes now but it should have come earlier.

WE LOVE TO SEE THIS STUFF!!!!!!
Thank you for sharing your road map with those that use your product on a daily basis. This made me smile!!!!!
Given the agenda for the publishes as Just G has it down now, I have some comments:
Does he or the Dev staff realize that according to this schedule it will have been a YEAR if not longer since they promised Rangers new camps, traps, the specific /track command and other things?
Greenmarine, the Dev who was in charge of Rangers was pulled to do Player Cities and Mounts as we understand it, and NOTHING, has been heard since. Our camps are now useless as of the last patch with sole exception perhaps being healing. There have been roughly 7 Dev posts in the Ranger forum since Holo or Q mentioned that these things were being worked on for us. Seven.
Now according to Just G, the Ranger community will be lucky to get a passing a glance until well after the Space Expansion. Does anyone really believe once the Space Expansion is launched the Dev team will have time for Rangers? (among other profs?) Somehow I don't think so.
The Rangers would like some answers please.
Respectfully,
Unless the most recent publish fixed it, even as a master artisan I cannot color droids.
Second, even tho I am neither a hardcore gamer nor an uber pvp'er my recommendation is that SoE expedite the GCW and combat balancing ahead of the content and adventure publishing.

I count myself in the masses that was eagerly awaiting the combat balance. Now that it's not coming in the forseeable future I'm VERY concerned. This was supposed to be a panacea that cleaned up dozens on correnspondent issues and leveled the playing field for many professions. We were supposed to see an end to the same combat template dominating in PvP. What of all the top 10 questions that were answered with "Wait for the combat balance" ?
What are we supposed to do now?
