Chilastra has had the old man as of 12:37pm EST.
He appeared for me (post-9 unlocker) after travelling from Dant Mining Outpost to a player city (Canejo) to run Janta Missions.
As of yet, the sith thuggies haven't shown up to try and take the crystal.

Farstar is getting loads of visits now, and its confirmed:
Only people already glowy as soon as publish went live or in TH's terms "meet the requirements prior to publish 10" are getting visited.

well i have always been a supporter of the "its soe's game they'll do what they want" but i gotta say i'm a bit dissappointed in this patch.
i agree with the person on the first page who suggested using talus and rori to place other villages on to reduce "traffic"
but i am a full supporter of making the villagelike the corvette, you talk to some forceguy (maybe yourfuture jedi trainer) and off you go to a village just for you.
the biggest problem i can see from this patch is making people wait to explore new content. i know severalwho dont even want jedi they just wanted totake part in new stuff being added to the game.. and now they have to wait (probbly a month) before they can take part.
just a note to you.. my jedi on my second accountcan sense no connection to the force..... but my main account who hasnt unlocked yet is glowing. ... yeah.. shouldnt jedi already be glowing no matterhow many badges they have???
TH i'm sure everyone there at SOE has a plan forthis... but seriously, i think you should listen to the players on this one.

Depends on what badges you have acquired. Do a /che and see what you read. If you read "You feel and inner glow. The Force is with you." Then you're set. If that was the case when pub 10 went live, then just be patient. If you don't see that message, then you need to completea total of 5content badges and make sure your POI badges include the 3 Jedi POI's with a smattering of other location badges including some dangerous ones like the sarlaccs, etc...

This is taken from a post on the game guides forum. I think it explains the current situation very well.
Method 1:
Have completed at least 4 holo professions BEFORE PUBLISH 10. These are the 'holocron' ones pre-publish 10. Doesn't matter here if you have done 4 holos and nothing else, or 32 professions, it's the same.
BUT
Once 'flagged' by this method, you will be put into one of four groups... You will be placed in a group depending on the TOTAL NUMBER of holo professions completed. Ie. Those who completed 30ish will likely be in group 1, with those completing just the 4 minimum in group 4. Group 1 gets to go through first, then 2 etc. The exact times will depend on the load trying to get through.
Method 2:
Get glowy. There is already a good guide on this in the test forums, but basically getting glowie will mean you get an 'instant access' pass to the old man - basically when he starts appearing you will be high on the list, none of the group stuff that grinders have.

Jabba's Themepark + all the "jedi" POIs + a ton of the easy POI's + Proffession badges. I do the /che and i get " Strong sense of the force" thats it. To me that just seems not fair. I am going to do the damn Nym themepark just to stroke my ego and see if it works. If it doesnt then I'm just going to quit on this disapointing game. I no longer have hours to hologrind in the new sense of the word for content badges. Which is rather stupid because it was determined that you didnt need badges to become jedi in the first place. I feel cheated as I know many of you other big time hologrinders do. Now it looks to me like i would have to spend the hour or so a day i get to play games and grind out these badges which in itself will take weeks and then i'm going to have to wait like 3 months or so for jedi? Not cool.
I know you feel frustrated, but don't cut off your nose to spite your face.
The Nyms Themepark is three missions.
Very easy.
The Warren is 2 badges which are also quite easy, and a fun puzzle.
Even if you dont do it for your Jedi slot, do it to experience and enjoy the content.
Not to mention that, right now, the Warren is pretty simple. There are over 200 people in there daily, you just walk through. Nothing to kill, nothing to bypass, someone is likely to have already done so for you. Just get the Data Disks and return them to the Empire.
