Crafting: Before, what I used to do if I really wanted to see the quality of my resources was pull out a calculator and do some simple math. Now, I get an average without doing any work, which is fine by me. I see that people are griping about not being able to do weighted averages, but I'd say ignore them. I mean, part of being a good crafter is buying and selecting the best resources, and if the computer pretty much does it for you, it detracts from that aspect of the game. The simple average is in most cases a good approximation of the resource's quality.
Con circles: Good, but I agree with those who say to make the circles smaller and/or thinner. They take up too much radar space.
Names: Honestly, I didn't notice much of a difference. But if so many people are having problems, it would be wise to change them back to the way they were or find a different solution.
Planetary map: A little bit of everything seemed to disappear from the map - cities, player cities, vendors, shuttleports, etc.

Please please also make it so Pets can be put on the toolbar and called out just like the vehicles.

The con circles on the radarare one of the greatest improvements I have seen in this game. I was always irritated that we could only see aggression levels. What difference did it make that something was red on radar if it had a green con? Turning around and tabbing was a pain, especially when the time to do so might mean death from a Tusken Raider or Force-sensitive. This is VERY cool.

I don't think you mentioned the cool changes to the crafting tool combine screens. There is now a bar next to the spots where you put resources into a schematic indicating how well the resource would work in that spot. It also shows the averages based on theexperimentation percentages when you highlight an item. (displayed in the lower right hand corner)
These are fantastic additions! I was doing just fine before with my spreadsheets and formulas in Excel, but this makes things a lot easier for all crafters. Thank you.
Also a suggestion on the average numbers in the crafting tool combine screen... if you could possibly add theaverages on each attribute together to get the total worth of that resource it would be nice. It's not hard to add 486 and 497 to get 983, but it would be cool if it showed this either in another color or slightly off to the side of the averages.

concerning /findfriend....
it doesnt work! well it does, but only the first time. some friends and i were playing 'hide and go seek' testing this feature out. and it will give you the initial waypoint to your friends location, but it doesnt update. i beleive the patch notes said it was supposed to auto-update. not really much use unless your friend stays in the same exact spot. in which case the 'old' system of asking for co-ords worked just fine.
cool idea though, just needs to work right.
and incase we didnt get the point across about player names/signs etc, heres a great example of what its like trying to read names on light backgrounds or when people are piled together in busy cities.:
highlight me-->put back text shadowing!! i need too see an optomitrist now!

Hmmm...not sure where the comments on the resources quality levelfeature go, so I'll post here. I love the idea as it makes it much easier to choose between multiple resources and think it was a great addition for crafters. Here are a few changes that I might suggest if possible for future updates:
1) The numbers for some resources get obscured by the name of the resource in the inventory list. I'm not sure how this could be easily fixed though although it might help if we could then see it though the examine window for that resource.
2) It would be better if we could enter specific percentiles rather than just getting an average (for example, many times you have 100% of one attribute and 33% and 66% of two other attributes, so an average is not real helpful).
3) It would be nice to have this as a window in the game rather than having to set it though options because the you really need to reset it often if you have many components with different quality attributes.
But, regardless, kudos for this feature!

Why did you change the way that text in vendor/object names is displayed? It's darn near impossible to read now. I was trying to figure out why and then someone pointed out to me that it used to have drop shadows, which are now gone. Why??
Could you please put the drop shadows back, or somehow otherwise fix the fonts? I'm wearing glasses more often already thanks to the horrible font you saddled us with last fall when you nerfed fonts for the cause of internationalization/localization.
This removal of the drop shadow thing is ridiculous. Do you guys NEVER think about issues like access for disabled people? Or just readability for those of us without 20/20?

Reading many posts about the shadow below the text there seem to be some fuzz about it as it was on TC too.
The explanation that it saves you 90% of your database can only be a joke right? How can a simple shadow below a text save you 90% of database space?
And even if it does... What makes your paychecks suffer more? Loosing alot of players that wont play the game anymore because they srew their eyes with this, or the fact that your database is larger than you want it to be?
This is alot more serious compared to those changes where people cry out because they cant unlock their silly jedi char, because it adresses EVERY player playing this game. The colors are nearly unreadable on light backgrounds. On Tatooine, Dantooine and Lok it feels like you need glasses to see clearly in some times...
Make it optional or you will loose alot of people that did not complain before and still were fans of this game against all the whining before. Thanks

The shadows need to be returned to the names, my eyes are starting to hurt. It's quite impossible to read the text under quite a few circumstances.
Not sure if this goes under GUI enhancements, but it's part of the user interface, I guess:
/findfriend must be optional. There is no reason all my friends should be able to find me 24/7. If my friends would like to know where I am, they can damn well ask me. Some sort of toggle must be needed, so that we can decide if we want people to find us with it or not.

I guess the /findFriend thing would be considered in this? If so, itneeds to be taken out. It doesn't help anybody and only hurts or annoys players. I don't like the extra spam in my chat box everytime a friend logs on and I get asked if I want to find them with /findFriend. It is ridiculous that anybody who mutually has me listed as a "friend" can find me anywhere in the galaxy. I like to have my PvP opponents on my friend list so I can know when there are going to be PvPers out and about. The PvP population is not that big on my server so I like to be able to judge how many of them on the opposing faction are online so I know if I can go look for a fight.
This also becomes a problem for jedi and bounty hunters. If the two are on each other's friends lists, they can track each other better than the droids you have ingame.
All this change does is make me want to take people off my friend's list. I don't see how that is a positive benefit to players. This needs to be taken out of the game immediately

Feedback Request:
- What do you think of the new GUI features?
- Camera Shake Toggle
- Crafting Inventory option
- Con(sider) circles on radar
- Is your XP updating
Camera Toggle: What ever makes other players happy. Personally I wasn't bothered by the camera shake
Crafting Inventory option: I'll test it out later, but as a Medic if it doesn't show OQ & PE its useless to me
Con circles: good idea
Xp Updating: never had a problem with it not updating.

The crafting options don't quite work. Checking multiple boxes does not give multiple numbers. There is no indicator what the number is (ie oq 997).
While this is somewhat helpfull for crafting, we still need a 'filter' option which only shows resources STILL needed. (ie, as you fill boxes resources which are no longer matching are hidden.) we still need factory loading options (ie, I put schematic in factory and tell the factory how much resouces to take from my inventory - the factory pulls NEEDED resources from my inventory and gives a summary in spatial. (this should include splitting cases automagically.)

On Tat the Colors are very hard too see. What ever the change is here needs to be reversed.
