Well I have a question for the Devs out there
So how come us jedi can't transfer our characters to other servers like the rest of the regular slots? I would think that you would have implamented that since we jedi are the ones that differenciates this game from any other game out today and in the mere future. Now i would like to see my jedi move to a totally different server because the galaxy i grinded my jedi in I did not know anyone. The reason i grinded in lowca was so i can use my Pop's resources to grind a jedi then just transfer to my home server. But
sadly i heard u can't transfer over jedi. I was shocked with this and i hope u can change ur policy because we all are wondering the same thing, I am not the only one here lol. Please take this into consideration. Thank you for your time and have a pleasent day or night
Sincerely Jedi Knight Slapiace

Keldarin, i'd like to ask why the Hologrind credit system is punishing the hologrinders.
Taking things into perspective, the hologrinding system was literally luck-based. You either hit the silent holo or you didnt. The Village system is not luck based so anyone grinding (yes its still a grind, sadly) to jedi know exactly what is needed and better yet, have the advantage of very likely already having multiple master proffessions with which they can grind the needed xp faster and safer.
Also, the vast majority of people who were hologrinding found themselves with templates not fitted to help them 'grind' with the village system. Imagine you are a combat-oriented player yet you were hologrinding 2 crafting proffessions trying to hit your silent holo. Village system comes in, the combat oriented players are now stuck with non combat templates... which even in the best case scenario means they will need to spend 5 weeks just to remaster one combat proffession so they can grind out the FS trees related to combat.
Then we get this so called holocredit system being based only on holoproffessions mastered. Again, many people who were hologrinding were not 'lucky' to 'hit' the required 4 silent profs even after grinding 20 or so proffessions after the silent. We also get people who barely did 5 'guesswork' proffessions after silent holo and get 4 or 5 unlocks in the village system.
9 < 20 last time i checked. The time and effort put in by the majority of the playerbase hologrinding is not being rewarded in the same manner the new system rewards those who did not hologrind at all / new players coming into the game. How so? Simply because they dont have the guesswork system.
Why is it that SOE did not simply give credit for proffessions mastered past the silent holocron (4th holoproffession)?
Simply put, if player had 4 holoproffessions mastered then that player was a hologrinder. To those who had 4 or more holoproffessions, give them half the credit in the new village system.
4 out of 8 holoproffessions needed = 3 out of 6 trees in village system unlocked.
Convert each player's mastered proffessions into FS xp in ratios just like it is done now. That way those who mastered 30 proffessions would get enough fs xp to fill up the remaining 3 FS trees. Those who did 20 get enough fS xp to fill up 1.5 or so FS trees and they should grind the rest of it just like everyone else in the new system. Those who mastered 10 get half a tree worth of FS xp.
A fair system that rewards the effort put towards the guesswork that is not present in the current system.
SOE's new, flawed holocron credit village system brought with it huge bugs and issues that came from the earliest days of the hologrind system.
Characters who mastered some proffessions before the badge+hologrind system came into the game and then mastered all the remaining proffessions in the game and got no FS slot.. people who unlocked before patch 10 and who'se characters got zero trees or just 1 or 2 trees unlocked instead of all 6... the list goes on and on.
All these issues now affecting players on top of the unfair holocredit system. I myself have issued a ticket to CSR asking to have my account checked for a possible no-fs slot unlock bug, for I had mastered some proffessions before the hologrind and badge system existed and an earlier CSR had checked my account and told me i had mastered 5 holocron proffessions. Curious thing is, when I cancelled my account many months ago (resubcribed at patch10), people were unlocking with 4 holos+1 silent and getting FS slot. The CSR's reply was that I had been given too much information about my account already and that action may be taken against my account if i kept pressing the issue. Im now waiting to hear from a manager/supervisor about this.
The current holocredit conversion is a failure for the most part, the new jedi village system is for the most part a success if you are someone who did not hologrind or are a new player.
So please, tell me why SOE chose to punish those who put their time, money and effort on the hologrind system and reward those who now dont have to?
edit: grammar corrections..14 years learning english and i still stumble.. bah

Jedi Reckoning of effort:
Please see Garva's post in the Dev Acrhive about forum ranking, and subsequent implementation, so see how reckoning of effort is given in an effective, fair manner.

Of course the number of jedi is going to be high, the name Star Wars basically means jedi. On all the movies, they were about jedi whether it be Darth Vader or Ben Kenobi. Jedi cannot be kept rare no matter what you do. Making gettingfs exp to get padawan boring is just crazy. I'd rather be bored as a padawan than as a Master profession grinding the same thing over and over again for a tiny bit of experience. Most people enjoyed the old system better than this one because at least you weren't forced to do the same thing over and over for almost no reason. And it didn't mean that you had to grind over the amount of professions that there was(the new fsprofession requires grinding experience that equal to 6.75 mastered normal professions per branch.

I agree whole heartedly with the last thread....let us get to the Jedi first then slow us down thats how it was in the movies but this is a game that all of us are paying for.....let us be jedi just not easy.....the getting glowy is good so far makes us work for it...but the grind for FS xp is absolutly insane..and having to wait to unlock FS skillsfor us new players doesnt make it hard it makes it immpossible to customize the kind of jedi we all want to be some will pick combat of course but many many will choose other professions to help in the Force the way it should be......let their be jedi...most wont openly use their gifts they will use the other proffesions most of the time...or make Darth Vader or NPC bounty hunters pop out of nowhere if u use ur Force skills some of the time...make it hard to stay a jedi not to get a jedi....and make it worth the effort if u survive....to me that sounds like the spirit of this game....or even set it up to where u have to pay 5 extra bucks to unlock FS skill well not have to but to speed up the process for some...u'll make money and have happy ppl everywhere.......PLZ send me something anything to tell me that u even read this or even if my ideas suck ok PLZ PLZ PLZ...i need to know that my little voice is being heard. THX in advance.
