what about simple little things? why has garrmorl not been fixed so that the flave and PE do not count on hide or bone? Chef was revamped, and you haven't finished it until you get everything right. also the state of barrels. they still do not work. why not? these have been on our list of issues in the chef forum since the day you made chef worth while. what about changing the berries and fruits for Vasarian brandy to talusian specifics as it should be? fixing blue milk so that under no circumstance would it incap you? i don't see how these things we have been requesting be fixed for two months keep getting looked over if you are indeed listening to the correspondents. quit making new things when you haven't fixed the old things! this is why SWG is still hemmhoraging(sp?) players. old bugs from 6 months ago still ar enot fixed, and with every new bug you create, you are content to leave the issue for many months before addressing while you add more bugs and issues with each new publish. i keep hoping when things like the reversal of the crafting nerf occur that just maybe our voices are final going to be heard, only to find the exact same problems waiting for me when i log in. sorry if i sound a little disgruntled, but you can hardly blame me. if my quality of work matched what the dev team has done here as far as attention to detail goes, i would have already been fired.

JustG:

I am new to the forums but not the game and throughout the patches I have watched my profession, ranger, go from a solid support profession to almost useless except for bloodhounding for hunting parties.

With the advent of vehicles...speed and stealth were no longer necessary, because you can zoom around and through everything.

With the advent of the 15 seconds pull camps are no longer necessary for anyone.

So all that we Rangers are really good for is bloodhounding and I note you don't need to be a master ranger for that.

So any thoughts? If not I have a few:

1. Allow Master Rangers the ability to make player traps.

2. Have it so Master Rangers do not show up on over head huds. That way whena ranger is tracking someone they can't "see" the ranger approaching.

3.Since no ranger ability works inside, give the ranger some combat bonus when outside. (maybe a speed bonus)

4.Ranger's have medical folige, but can't tend wounds with there findings...doesn't really make sense, maybe some sort of patch there.

Anyways, just throwing that out there for you Devs to chew on. I would like the benefit of the forums throughts.

In the meantime should anyone on Starsider need a Master Ranger, I am for hire and a damn good bloodhound as well, and oh yeah I can make really big camps complete with lights, crafting stations and running hot water.

Not that i have played since Beta or anything bu i have scene some quaky crap going on. One............TKA'S are soloing rancors which are gigantic beast fromt he planet dathomir which no even Master Skywalker could take himself. Two............Make Ranger better. Three....................If your getting rid of the hologrind expect some professions to never be played again (cough....Image Designer). You guys really need to offer and fair system for every profession and yes it takes time but if anything why don't you make Patvhch 10 llike a 20 minute download patch then when space comes out the command codes could be entered in with Patch ten making your jobs way easier.

I do not post much on the forums, however I do read up a lot for information.

Have perused through most of the current state of the game posts and know some of these things have already been brought up. However, wanted to share some of my viewpoints.

I will not bring up class balance because I have 100% confidence that the Dev's are aware of most of the issues. I would like, however, to see some fixes go in for the normal everyday bugs of the game.

This game has been out for a long time now. We should be well past beta, and at this point, I am not really sure we are. I have one issue that irks me the most: known miniscule bugs of the game seem to stay in game for months on end before they finally become fixed.

There is no reason in the world that would adequately explain to me why some of these bugs cannot be fixed almost immediately. While I love SWG with a fiery passion, and believe it has enormous potential, I cannot name a single other game that is less stable than this one. And the majority of the bugs should be quick fixes.

Things such as:

  • Speeders not storing properly, leading to an abundance of unmanned speeders just sitting there in the cities. At times, this lag can be horrendous.

  • Players dissappearing to other players when near certain places, causing them to have to relog to fix it. Only to have it happen again a few moments later.

  • Getting off your speeder and porting 100m away. This can be very annoying when sometimes you are ported straight into an aggressive animals camp.

  • About once a week I find myself going halfway across the galaxy to pick up something from my favorite shop only to learn that vendors are down. And I know it is not just me at the time as I do ask questions. Is the problem lack of bandwidth on SOE's side? I know it isn't mine and everyone elses at the same time.

  • I have seen Bounty Hunters track a bounty for half an hour only to find out the mission is bugged. And this happens so frequently, it is actually a part of almost all official BH Guides I see on the net.

There are many more day-to-day bugs that happen in the game but these are some of the more obvious ones. And they are all easy quick-fixes that would at least make playing the game a lot more smooth.I have seen too many people leave the game because of daily bugs that have been in game forever. They just laugh at them and move on to a more stable game.

One more quick note and I apologize because this is a little class-based. I am not a Jedi and probably very far from being one. But why in the world can't a Jedi group with another Jedi without popping up on the BH terminals? For some reason, I do not think that other Jedi they are grouping with is turning them in...

This is "improving communication"? How many weeks between JustG's posts? NO Dev posts for the last 3 weekends when the majority of the playerbase participates?

*shrug*

Shows much about the commitment to making this game better.

Don't know whether this is the right place to put this, but..

One major thing that really needs to be looked at is the music in Galaxies. The music is fantastic and adds to the Star Wars feeling but it plays for like 1 minute every 20 minutes or something. As a player *I* would like the option of how often the music plays. I love landing on Lok and hearing the music, it sets the mood. But after that, the mood drops off a cliff. The music needs to be played more often, or its frequency be an option for players. PLEASE!!

maybe a playlist of all the starwars songs and other songs we can listen to instead of hearing the SAME music every time it rains or we entered a city or something.
