I forgot to mention I have no ch skills. From my understanding I should be able to call up to a lvl 15 pet?

Nope, only to lvl 10. But there was a glitch before this patch that let you call BE pets to lvl 15, in some cases.

Since publish 6 my Cowardly Gurreck (lvl 15) has had problems with stopping (worse them it was a while back around publish 4 or so). I also have to get fairly close to it for it to respond to the follow me command.


I took on a Bantha Matriarch yesterday with the pet going in first, sure gave me a good long chase as they both just took off running.


And one last report - yesterday had the gurreck just autostore after a battle, twice. Glad I hung onto my crate of camps instead of believing that we could call pets in the wild after the publish.

1. What are your issues?

- Can't call dewback (lvl 15). My other dewback which I was using as a mount pre patch (imperial crackdown) is now lvl 16 and he was lvl 15 before patch. I cannot call either one. When I try to call it says "you have no chance of controling... see holocron for trade-in information". I go to CH trainer in Coronet and the trainer also says to see the holocron when I drag my pets to him.



2. What is the Pet description, specifically (type/level, etc)?

-Dewback one lvl 5 (max 15)other currently lvl 16 (Was lvl 15 before patch!?)



3. Was it a Bio engineered pet or a tamed pet?

-Bio engineered

The problems I encountered (Publish 6)



  • ALL pets occupy the same space as I am.

  • Pets disappearing (during combat). It's strange because I have 2 pets out at the same time which a gaping spider hunter and a mountain dewback. The gaping spiderleft the group and disappeared but not the dewback. Both tamed creatures.

  • Pets continually getting stuck while travelling in the wilderness (the bugs came back)

Other problem (prior to Publish 6)



  • Range attack still doesn't work.

1. What are your issues?


The stats for my pet (Bio'd) were too high for it's level. I tried to call him, and got the screen that explains, and gives you the options to adjust level or stats. I got him all trained the way I want and such, and would like to keep him, so I select Adjust Stats. I get a message that there was an error adjusting the pet, cannot adjust. So now I have a pet in my datapad I can't use, OR fix.


2. What is the Pet description, specifically (type/level, etc)?


Gurreck Level 9


3. Was it a Bio engineered pet or a tamed pet?

Here are my problems with pets atm:


1) A player representitive (Thunderheart) who insultingly refers to CH's as poke players.


2) Said person who still thinks CH's can simply store and call pets during combat with no delays.


3) Same person who still thinks its ok for a player to instantly change into full composite armor and weapon with a single macro press, but says its reasonable a CH has to wait 30 seconds to pull out a pet.


4) Same person who thinks CH's can currently store pets instantly after combat.


I guess those are the 4 things that concern me the most about CH's.

This can't be.. the CH is weaken and weaken by the DEVs... it is no fun at all to play MCH.



The pets are fleeing from enemies without a reason (all my pets do it, from a cu pa to Rancor)..


They stay on my avatar, while being in a group..


They often store themself..


They often do not follow me...


They ignore /tellpet..


Everyone can trade pets...(argh i hate it, why should we train them the order "transfer"???)


And the pets are to weak.. it cant be, that a rancor is killed by an TKA, Commando alone (or the buffing system makes Player to strong)..


In my eyes, a CH should be one of the dangerous person in the game, because of his pets. A group of 12-20 hunters can kill a rancor lair, with loses.. but when a ch calls his pets, they are slain very often by only one person.. this can't be... fix it please.

I agree with all the issues stated so far. I have a concern which isn't so much of a bug as just a minor annoyance. I think that Creature Handlers should be able to sell their pets on the bazaar and on vendors just like BE pets. It seems unfair that the only way to get rid of a pet is to destroy it or trade it in person to person trade. Just a thought.

pets running away during combat is my number one issue. it used to just happen with big pets like rancors and graul maulers. now it's happening CONSTANTLY with ALL pets. my BE gurrecks used to stand and fight until dead, since the febuary publish they run all over the map with the mob, can't keep 'em still unless I spam the attack command every 1/2 second. this is EXCEEDINGLY anoying to the point of making the class unplayable.

also pets autostoring in combat is a BIG freakin' issue as well, though it doesn't happen nearly as much as the running around thing.

please fix this! it's insane, the class is unplayable at present.

This has most likely been said before, but my pets now stand DIRECTLY over me, this is really annoying. This goes for all my pets BE or not.

Quick work around for this bug, and maybe a clue for devs...


When your pet gets in that state, let it catch up and simply feed it. You will see it snap straight. Then hit follow and move on and he'll be ok 90% of the time.
