It is nice to see that they really addressed one of the jedi original top 5 issues so adequately.
/sarcasm off
Still no changes... killed another 50 NS and no crystals.. I give up.
Nice to see that the Devs have come back to look at the feedback and address the issue
before they start pushing the data and other files in prep for the publish launch. OH WAIT
they didn't what a suprise.

yeah, I still haven't heard anyone saying they've been getting hardly any crystals. Someone told me the devsfound a bug that was making all crystals way weaker than they should be... but it seems that it hasn't been fixed yet.

all of these mobs that are dropping crystals seem to be pretty hard to tackle.
How is a novice lightsaberist going to get crystals? Even a 2-0-0-0 saberist going to get crystals? We still have to have color crystals for our sabers.
And I have always read from dev posts that the harder the creature the better the crystal was going to be. This does not appear to be true at all of the current drop system. Stats on crystals do not seem to be dependent on the mobs they were looted from.
I know you guys want it to be a certain way, but are you going to be able to do it?
Also, how many swings is a 1000 durability crystal supposed to last? Because it seems that you may have to kill a few thousand dificult mobs just to get the good crystals you need for your saber.
Please tell us how long you intend for crystals to last.

Crystals shouldn't be dropped, they shoudl be foraged. How is it that the resources that are required are needed to be specific after it goes up on generation, but light jedi's can't forage it while dark jedi's can't make a synthetic version of it?
Or maybe a mix, the droppable are from high end creatures that have the best overall stats (nightsister force crystals), or what planet their form (give jedi's TEF for making crystals or foraging it, or make em visible on BH terminal if any players come nearby) and the average and good kind can be foraged by light jedi's.and made by dark jedi's.
Don't see how hard it is to implement something like this, compared to try to focus on making them all droppables (which I thought you guys were trying to avoid).
Anyways not really my ideas, just repeated suggestions from other players.

So... Uh... What I'm hearing sounds like for every crystal you manage to loot, you gotta go through 2-3 crystals worth of decay.

I guess you folks know what you are doing... right?

Yeah, well at the moment the crystals that are dropping are all worthless anyway so they're the same as not even having a crystal. Color crystals should at least be able to be made by the craft tool so that you can at least HAVE something usable. How else will you ever be able to get a working lightsaber? You would have to fight stuff using non-jedi skills to get the color crystals, which would take forever.
When they finally fix the crystal's stats they also need to up to drop rate to something managable. PvE damage increase will help if it sticks, but still killing 100's of NS for a single crystal is just wrong. A NS elder should have one 75% or more of the time, you need friends to beat one anyway... and the stats should always be really good. Other NS should also drop with frequency scaling down as they get weaker, but initiates are the weakest of the NS, and you shouldn't have to kill more than 10-20 of those to get a crystal. Other NS should drop more frequently.
Bottom line is crystals need to at least drop, if you want to reduce the frequency of good and high quality crystals that fine, but at least make low end crystals & color crystals findable if you refuse to make them quest items or craftable. Personally I think makingcrystals part of a quest would be the best, and I know most people would agree. To prevent over abundance of crystals, you could make a timer on the mission so that you can redo it once a month to replace the ones that get worn out, but at least you could go and get one...

SLAUGHTERING RANDOM NPCS TO OBTAIN AN ITEM THEY SHOULDNT EVEN HAVE IN THE FIRST PLACE HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE STUPIDEST CONCEPTS IN THIS GAME.
That being done and said,
88 tuskens = 1 damage crystal with -2 damage (If tuskens drop negative stat crystals, i'd hate to see what meatlumps drop.)
36 ewoks = 0 crystals

I really don't understand why Devs NEVER listen..all the jedi community is crying here..
There can be NOTHING MORE STUPID to hunt NPCs so get something we naturally should have. And now, as it was not enough, we have to loot color Crystals,too..
IMO, this is the most important thing. I don't want to use TKM skills to loot a crystals. I wanted to be a J-E-D-I..
Everything is **edit** enough. Let us make our own color crystals and some stupid damage crystals at least.
200% agree
