I thought it was very good... it's nice to get an idea of the game plan.


As a commando, I just wish that we could here something, anything, about our profession - even an admission that at the moment a lot needs to be done. In the last few realeases, besides some fixes, the only actual changes to our profession have been to weaken it (in some cases rightly).


Please TH, how long does it take to post 'Publish x' or 'Nothing planned'? You keep stressing the value of cxommunication..


Commando aside, the plan does seem very good, although I suppose dedicationg two whole publishes to Jedi will increase some people's frustration.

Amazing! My experiences with dev info in other MMORPGs usually looks like: a) you get massive marketing info before the launch of an expansion and b) you see patch note as they hit the test servers.


My only concern is that combat is given too low priority. There are major combat issues. For example that hitting the mind pool is unproportionally significant. Commandos don't have useful weapons with armor piercing. Speed caps / speed mods favour rifles and other slow weapons much more than fast weapons. I hope these issues and others get addressed within a few months.

I partly agree with the whining people (but still, come on whiners!!). The coming publishes are focusing a bit too much on jedis considered that they are still to be a minority in the game. I would much rather see the GCW moved up to publish 9 and then in that release hopefully the return of battlefields! And then I hope they've red my Suggestion mail on dividing the worlds into zones like in Planetside and then have abattlefield for each zone for people to capture to grant it zoning....would make the GCW so much interactive and fun by being able to see you making a difference


...but hey, give them a break, whiners! if they were only fixing bugs you would also be complaining and after all it's by no doubt the biggest MMORPG out now so no wonder if it's a little confusing

TH then when will be finished combat balance? IF it wouldnt full fixed in publish 8 then when?? i have my character hold i have all skills surrended ( holo grinding over 20 profs ) and i didnt make another char waiting for the combat balance, i dont want make a character and then after a month or two you fix it and i need make another different.


For example i would like be a commando but i didnt make one beacuse i have been it and it really sucks for PvP, Actually i would make a rifleman/cm or TKA/doctor etc ( im dont calling for nerf im just giving some examples). But i dont have become this profession and i get fixed just when i got the masters...


And where is the famous HAM system changes???

Love the idea of instancing areas. Wish we had some dynamically generated instancing lairs that we can actually go inside of and explore/fight our way through that we can get from the mission terminals. Caves in the case of creature missions and buildings/bases in the case of NPC missions.

Uh almost every problem with combat has had the "Wait until the combat balance" treatment, bit lame now saying it won't be done. Bring on WoW.

absolutely rediculous.


we have been waiting for your so-called combat balance, which had already supposedly been started with the CG patch etc, for over 3 months now. we have seen it pushed back for favour of drois etc - which i also might add was aload of rubbish, totally useless. u have built up this combat revamp for months to now snatch it away from the players.


i cannot see how u can place ther jedi revamp before the combat or the gcw revamp, that just totally pisses off the majority of your player base. just admit u have too many jedi running around becuase of the lame grind system u used and then further compounded the issue by introducing holocrons, especially all the free ones given away at xmas.


ffs, just stop ppl from being able to open there fscs, place a server pop cap, whatever. just dont sacrifice the important fixes needed in the game because u have to sort out the mess u made with the jedi account system & population growth.



i forsee alot of angry upset customers, guess ull have to close these boards from the publics eyes again tohide all flames.

There's some good stuff in there. Congrats to Squad leaders, smugglers and entertainers Some of those dungeons look good too


I have to say I'm also not very happy about the combat balence being "pushed back"/revamped or whatever. As the end game for most proffesions - combatshould be a higher priority than anything else including Jedi seeing as it effects them as well.


I'm also not happy with the way some profession boards are not being communicated with either directly or through thier correspondents.The Ranger boards especially need someone just to pop in and say a few words about where they figure in thier plans for the future - although this request is not limited to them.

I really like this game and one of the best things about it is the commication between the devs and players I know a lot of players still complain its not enough but this is great.



Seriously though you say you're going to address the major combat bugs in publish 8 and hold off on the combat revamp (I don't think this is a bad idea as I'd like you to get it right) but in the other publishes theres no mention of combat fixes or revamps.



When can we see the new HAM system and when will professions that got nerfed with the bleed nerf get some rebalanced specials to account for that nerf (heavy swordsmen)



I do really like the guide though it does want me to keep playing. I enjoy this game as it is but it does keep getting better. I think the entertainer/smuggler dungeon is a great idea I hope you can pull it off even though it's not my playstyle.
