Just because its a good idea doesn't mean this is the best place for the developers time and energy.

I like both ideas very much.

I have to throw in another vote for making it instanced. This would REALLY help to keep an in-game and in-character feel.

Another thought I had was that the Village, if instanced, might really never be a known location. For all people know, the Village is a vision quest type deal. The outer-rim is really on the far edge of your mind. TheNPCs that you interact with could represent the various aspects of your personality or even the various ways of the force. Either way, I'd like to see Village have a specific "feel" to it that is very much star wars and very much the way of the force.

You look up and suddendlynotice a tall-hooded figure standing directly before you.

He smiles, reassuringly,as hemakes an odd gesture with his hand.

The world begins to spin and you feel dizzy.

You close your eyes for a moment.

The Village, with music and such and the quests begin.

Do I like the Village idea? Yes
Do I like the Quest Journal? Yes

Do I like the idea that this will simply be a time-sink? No, I played the character I wanted to play, I didn't afk macro 27 professions (and yes, you can afk macro all but 5 professions). I think the level of Effort should be on par with mastering those professions, but I see no reason to make this a senseless timesink.

Jedi quests, in one village, in one spot? Are you REALLY sure about that, do youreally want everyone and their mother running there?

I'm hoping very much that the quests that are given are going to be different for different people... it'd be great to have a big list of quests, and it randomly chooses 24 (or however many) for each person. That way, there may be some overlap, but it would be difficult to "map out a walkthrough" for this new system. That's one thing I do NOT want to see.

Great work so far! Love the concept.

Sounds good TH real good, but I vote that you get back to figuring out which fixes for the various professions need to be worked on, namely Jedi and CH since they seem to be the most screwed by the CB delay.

Kkelly, they already said that you would get partial "credit" for as many professions as you had already correctly mastered.

• Do you like the idea of the Village of Aurilia?
Yes, the village idea is fine. I especially liked the part about hiding in the open. No stars because of the trees and clouds though? An instanced village perhaps?

• Do you like the idea of adding a quest journal?
Love it.

My only real worry, is that fact that it's all going to become speculation again on how to even get approached by the npc in the first place.

Looks like we'll have to do the whole guessing game thing over again.

This idea sounds great! I just hope there's a lot of great interaction between the players and the NPCs, and the quests differ enough so that people will not get sick of them so easily. All in all, sounds pretty cool. This is exactly what the game needs.

this sounds like what I thought the jedi system would be initially not this lame hologrinding. Pre game I heard about how everyone will get a chance though some may miss it etc, etc. What it turned into was Every combat profession or those with enough money to buy holocrons could do it after 12 months of constant grinding. This new system SOUNDS great and it really could be the perfect system if ppl who have grinded 21 professions get it sooner then us that didn't credit should be given. and if these quest don't involve mindless activities, or encourage/force people to grind for anything other then the fun of playing the game, and not to achieve A higher goal. It takes the souls out of the game and turns us into robots.
