Wait, did I miss something? Why are CH being given perks when it comes to AT-STs? That doesn't make sense.

Yes, because human beings and vehicles driven by human beings are creatures. *sarcastic clap* Even though I don't use any of them because they're all useless anyhow, they're even MORE useless now. Yay! So, a high ranking officer can only have ONE trooper under his command? Brilliant. How about working the whole number of faction support personnel (not pets) by rank. Or just make it so creature handlers can't have any if they have a pet out. Or have baby stormtroopers roaming around and you have to tame/train them, or just put storm trooper armor on squills, then you can call them pets. Anyway, have fun with the pocket monsters. "TK-421!!! I choose you!!"

Did anyone of you actually bother to read through the whole message posted? Or the links that he pasted for you to read through that gives even more info?


Who actually believes that fire can't affect metal? Or better yet the people iside that are driving that metal machine? Sorry but the flameDoT should stay in. Your dealing with Commandoes here, that is their specialty... take out vehicles and heavy armored constructs. If some ewoks and a tree trap can take out an At-St, I think a Commando with a Rocket Launcher or a Plasma Gun (this is the gun I think a Fire DoT would work for AT-ST's not the Flamethrower which is meant to be anti-personell)should be able to take out an AT-ST.



Yes we will only be able to pull one faction pet at a time... on thie FIRST pass... they have stated they will try and get a ranking system so you can pull out more later. They also state they would like to make "specia" multi pet abilities for different classes (which sounds intrigueing and I look forward to how they will work that)



I do disagree with the Faction pet only working against Faction PVE. I am tired of the pet wars and I want Star Wars. I would much rather see Imperials running around with 3 storm troopers or one AT-ST killing creatures than seeing every single person being forced to become creature handlers so they can do the tougher missions. It would be nice to see the Rebs be able to do the same, give them a viable Faction pet (please nothing near the capabilities of the AT-ST though, perhaps a Commando who actually wears good armor?).


I would also like to see the DE's be able to make a viable alternative to a PVE pet, so we can run around with a droid as a tank if we need too. More droids and Faction pets running around is a much better thing than more Creatures. Yes, the creature is heavily shown as well in Star Wars but it still should be underlying of the world not predominant. We should see more of everything else, not everything else: with a splash of CH to give them a fighting chance.



Oh! And PLEASE make it so the AT-ST can be healed in some way. Perhaps if they go to the garage it will regenerate over time. Or allowing DE's a way to heal them. That way if the AT-ST finds some way to survive the initial onslaught, just a repair job and it will be usable again in the field. This must be fixed before this patch is allowed, it ruins the game for me... even as a Reb, if the Imps are afraid to pull out their AT-ST's.The AT-ST brings on a a special challenge in any PVP battle (though the Imp's may disagree its true... the powerand the general Star Wars feel of when I see one of these bearing down on me makes PVP worth while...even when I become a smoking heap of dust ) I am sure you would hear less complaints about the Fire DoT and we would see more At-ST's pulled out for everyones benefit if this is fixed (just make sure its not something goofy like healing it with stim packs)

flame me if you want but CH as its own class should not have been added to SWG in first place.


This is NOT EverQuest. This is future and future belongs to machines and not some animals.


Why are you totaly ignoring DE. DE are the real pet users of this time not CH.


Ifyou really need to have CH (and i dont se why) in this game then some plain modification of Ranger skill tree would be just fine. Master ranger would be able to have one rancor or graul + ride pet. and then just spread rest of creatures in whole tree.


In this time it should be more common to se a droid of some kind that animal in towns.

I like the changes but let Imperials repair their AT-STs for a high price at the garages like the up coming landspeeders. This way they would be useful in PvP, although every Imperial I talk to does not have the problem that the forums mention, and would be a credit sink for the game.

Creature Handlers can currently have up to three creature pets out, AND three faction pets.


Having six pets versus three most certainly does qualify as a perk.

Is that fire dots, or are they immune to every damage type but fire? If the latter, you have essentially made them invulnerable to all but commandos. Invulnerability is not a good thing.

Congratulations, SOE.


You have offically killed PvP and going Overt between this and other recent changes- faction play is useless now.


I'll be honest, the only reason I ever used an AT-ST (and I've never had more than one) was because I hate grouping. You seem to be doing everything in your power to eliminate solo play from the game - good job.


You talk about balance passes and creature passes- and I wonder just what you guys were doing while I was in beta.


Yes, tweaking is one thing, but with this and other changes you just seem to be rewriting the game.


You make no sense. You put something in the game to balance the scales, and then you change it because of whiny people who aren't willing to do what it takes to earn it.


Thanks for saving me the time - I simply won't particiapate in faction any more.


One more thing down the drain to do in SWG - not many left, and more seem to be taken away every day.


Unless you are a credit or resource duper - then the game works just fine for that, and the Devs seem to give their support by letting them go on for months at a time.


That's balance for ya.

My opinion is that the only type of DOT that would have any effect should be acid based, not fire based, poision, or any other. AT-ST's should not be the all powerful machines they were when the game launced. AT-ST's are a armored SCOUTING VEHICLE, nota heavily armored main combat vehicle.


You should allow Imps to purchase repair kits for their AT-ST's, either through faction points or when the vehicles come out kits that can bought from artisans.


I have, however, always stood by the old argument that AT-ST's should be vehicles, not pets.


Having 3 creatures out at once for CH's is not a fix to any balance issue. It will revert back to the way it was when the game was released.


I don't want to be a creature handler or I would have gone up that skill tree to be one, but what gives the Dev's the idea i can't control 3 droids, or 3 humanoid faction troops? Controling droids and faction troops is nothing like controling 3 agressive kill all pets. You will once again flood the came with a gazillion creature handlers.


Is this limit only on what you can pull out at once or will it affect what you can store on your datapad?


To much is going to go wrong with this for this to be useful to anybody.
