Imperial crack down? it is going to be pretty hard to crack Down on Rebs when they already out number us 3 to 1. seems like more than that on my server when you can't find more than a dozen impsat anygiven time in anyImperial ruled city.

Thanks for the update. Unlike some losers in this thread I would prefer the game to work after the patch and not lose a few days because you pushed the patch to fast.

Can you provide one point of clarification.
If an COVERT rebel is scanned, they go OVERT according to the powst by TH earlier in the week. Should this not be TEF'ed?
A TEF will take us out of action, assuming we survive, for 5 minutes.
Being forced OVERT will take us out of action for over an hour.
For a crafter class, this is kind of a raw deal.
Please help us understand why if this is so, that this should be the only way other than voluntarily to be made overt?
Yes, I agree, caught Rebels should be given a TEF, not made Overt. Rebels can't go back to covert without recruiters, even when they do find recruiters it takes a whole hour from that point to go covert again, and to compound the problem the recruiters are going into hiding. How is a caught Rebel supposed to go covert except by dying? (I know the Imperials very much like this idea, but if the game is to be reasonably fair...there should not be an automatic overt status as it creates way too big a problem for the Rebel players.)
And my final point: shouldn't the Imperials get the first shot?

Why not on the 13th? LOL
Both SOE and the player communityhave enough bad luck already thank you.
Has there been any official word on what a "High Ranking Covert Imperial" is, in terms of faction rank?
I'm assuming we're not talking corporal here. But what is it? Leuitenant? Captain? Warrant Officer? Or does it depend on the rank of the officers in the scanning party?
Some clarification would be nice, so I can either get and spend some fp on promotion, or sit back and chuckle at the shakedowns
Thanks for the information. It has been killing me to know when. Cannot wait.

Please, please, please clarify, as answers haven't been given in the other crackdown thread started by TH:
In any event, many of us believe that no covert should be forced into PvP, and to do otherwise is breaking with a key promise made by the Dev team. There are other ways to get across the oppressiveness of the Empire through searches without making us defend ourselves when we didn't actively bring a TEF upon ourselves (e.g., a timesink, a drawn out dialogue with the scanning team that couldn't be quite out of, would get this across). If I'm a covert sitting in the cantina to heal bf, I should be able to do so without being forced into PvP (indeed, many people go to the cantina because they're already wounded).
Again, forcing coverts into pvp is unacceptable. Please rethink this, or clarify how the current system proposed to go live isn't going to be as bad as we think. I'm covert because I want to be in control of when I PvP. I already go Overt to run faction missions so that I'm not surprised by Overts camping the mission terminals, I don't need to be forced Overt any more than that.
Unless I'm misunderstanding something, isn't there an obvious solution? If you are covert and do not wish to be forced into PvP then just don't use/possess contraband. If you possess contraband you run the risk of exposure.
I think the whole idea is pretty cool, and while I'm covert because I am not good at/don't wish to participate in PvP, I think it's perfectly fair for me to have to make a choice here: keep my sliced weapons/armor/drugs and run the risk or get rid of them and not have to worry about it. I think that coverts *should* run some sort of risk of exposure, it's much more realistic and adds a sense of excitement to the game.
Thanks G for posting this, and I hope that all future publishes are done this way, I'd rather wait and have less bugs/issues to deal with then have the publishes rushed out to meet some date and be full of problems that we the players have to deal with.
One thing I would like to see more of however is more dev response to the larger issues on the boards. While I understand there is not enough hours in the day to respond to every post, there's some posts that are obviously big issues and it would be nice if we were kept less in the dark on what's going on. Lack of information is causing a lot of anxiety among a lot of players in regards to Publish 7 for example, and it would be really nice if we hadsome idea what's happening.
