Don't take away selling stuff in bags...
Why would you do this, why? Selling Armor, meals, buffs, it's the only way a vendor can package something
Don't put it in live

Rather than this (because many people like selling things in bags on vendors for convenience), how about adding the ability to view what's inside of the bag before purchasing?

BTW - How does this affect the bags that are already on the markets?

Because people use backpacks as extra storage on the bazaar. Each bag is 50 more items you can store, for 7 days at a time (set auction at 6k so no one can bid). Only 20 creds per storage space
If this is what they were trying to fix, just change it so backpack contents count towards the vendor limit (as they do for houses). We don't need the exploit of extra storage, but we do need the convenience (and privacy) of bundling.
Speak for yourself, friend. I need more storage than the pathetic amount given to us in our homes. I have several dozens of crates of components, more than a hundred stacks of varying resources, a few sets of clothing, a few more sets of armor, backup weapons, and lets not forget decorating your house.
GIVE US DECENT HOUSE STORAGE
SMall 200, Medium 500, Large 1000, Pa Hall 2500
This will have the effect of increasing dramatically the number of storehouses people ghost. I will NOT destroy or sell of the resources I have saved up. I WANT to be a packrat and save every single stupid little quest loot item I have. I WILL HAVE THE STORAGE SPACE TO DO IT even if that means getting people from another server to drop 20 small 2-lot homes.
If you gave us DECENT item caps in homes, we woudl not need to bog down the vendors with a dozen full packs of stuff we are storing. You CANNOT win here SOE. You CANNOT make us change our desire to accumulate thousands of items. STOP TRYING!
FIX THE DANG DATABASE!!!

Ill just add my voice to the 'dont remove the option of selling things in bags' brigade.
Or at least provide an alternative to sell batches of items in one transaction/retrieval from vendors as an alternative.

Commodities Market/Vendors: Fix to no longer allow people to sell bags that are not empty on vendors.
ok now many many of the armorsmiths on my server plan to leave the game especialy the ones with good armor where can i get armor in sets?
why cant i sell buff sets in a bag or other things. the new bazaar rules for up to 6k was not good for my medical vendor and i was thinking to give up the shop and now this i think i should follow my armorsmiths and leave the game too. as my shop is ruined without the option to put bags on (i get regulary bags from my auctions offered). and i cant figth anymore as i cant get the armor i need this is a stupid change and when someone get ripped of buying a bag then its their fault they dont need to do it. and i buy regulary bags up to a few million worth each where i had never a problem with them.
when they have problems with vendor items and bags i cant imagine that it would be that difficult to progamm that they count the items in the bag and the bag as pieces on the vendor.

You can't edit posts here because Lithium ("The Lowest Bid"tm) erroneously uses the create_thread privilege flag to control editing posts (and only TEH DEV can create posts on boards like In Testing).
Based on their track record thus far, this bug should be fixed (or at least differently broken) by Halloween.

This is not a fix for merchants. This is not allowing us to act as merchant? Haven't you heard of bagging an order. This destroys custom orders for all types of crafters out there. How about addressing the problem instead of limit the profession even more.

Oh my - there goes my full run lots of components - all nicely matched so people can do factory runs and know they've got matching components without hunting and searching thru MANY pages of vendor items.
There goes my fully matched sets of planetary fish collections, and any architects bags of pieces for fishtanks.
There goes all my deliveries of large orders conviently bagged up so the customer can just find their name without grabbing someone else's items by mistake.
There goes any idea of selling matched 'sets' of clothing for weddings or named looks.
There goes my only way of keeping my vendors somewhat tidy for ease of the customer.
Please, please, please rethink this one. The good far outweighs the bad.
