***First of all camps were NEVER meant to be used for calling pets, never ever. I hope I am clear. That requirement was put in when many people whined and complained that they were being surprised by rancors in pvp. There have been numerous fixes to prevent this. I will repost for your infirmation;


1-you can NOT call in pet if you are agroed.


2-you can NOT call a pet if you are in combat.


those two mainly deal with the "surprise" attacks. there fore we do NOT need a camp.


another thing you forgot to mention is that ALL, ch are scouts. the majority of us do not want this restriction or timer. mainly because there are rules in place that make the timer and camps not needed.


If you want to make camps useful go to the ranger/scout forums there are tons of ideas on how to make them useful w/o gimping the ch class.


2. The upcoming combat balance might change us players enough to make pets a little tuffer since the rebalencing and the devs dont want to give CH an upper hand till they see what happns. This is why theymight bekeeping quiet.


***The creatures are not going to get tougher as a matter of fact they have been NERFED, most of them have been nerfed, their resist's have been lowered, there damage lowered also. so my friend you could not be further from the truth, there is no way they will ever make creatures/pets tougher.


Ether way it is, the patch is going in and we will have to see what happens.

Castigula i know that CH have scout skills and call camp, and if you have fully read my past post you would see that i did mention it. All im saing that the devs have the timer in for other reasons that they chose to not tell us at this time.


Other things to consider that your not looking at:


1. their are many players that do not have scouting skills, so the ability to have a scout pop a camp would be helpful. But I say again that having a camps for scout feeling usefull is a joke and something should change for scouts. I have listed one idea in my previous post.


2.Nether you or I will know what will come in the combat balance. CH pets might get back some of the power thay got nerfed, but since we dont have the full balance in effect we will not know. So i am making a guess that the dev are keeping the timer in to see what happens. If everything is clear and pets are not to overpowering, then they might drop the timer when they chose to do so. You see its better tohave this little annoyance now then to have them nerf again later.


Castigula, you really need to think about things alittle better. And yes we will no longer need a camp to call are pets in the next publish, but the devs still think that a timer is needed so you dont just pop out a huge pet right befor a battle. I know from the restrigtions you cant pop a pet when in battle, but again they might be waiting till after balencing is done befor thinking about removing the timer. So all im saying now is, you had better get use to the timer. Its going to be in effect and you going to have to live with it. You might not like it, but thats life.


I know and you know that calling a camp is stupid especialy when CH are scouts to begin with, its just thatI see that there is more on the reason to why they might be keeping the timer in. But since the devs are keeping quiet, we will never really know.

First i never said that you should not stop complaining, i did however say that you will have to get use to the timer since it will be put in effect with the next publish. I can deal with the timer, but i would like to see some changes to, but in due time when the devs feel its needed and all things are complete.


Yes i have read the CH forum and the BH forum and the scout forum, and any other forums that effects my character. I like to see what will effect my characters and what they do. As for CH Not waiting for the combat balance, what if something pops up and they have to renerf the pets again. I know that many CH will hate that even more. I think that the devs are waiting to see what happens. If everything is clear they will make changes.


I will state now that i would like to seea fewchanges go in effect after the combat balance is done for CH:


1. I would like to see scouts have something else than camps to feel usefull. Have it that mask scent can be put on all member in the group.


2. Remove the timer for pets and vehicals, but have the timer in when being attacked. Yes have it so that a pet will not come out for 15-30sec wile in combat just incase your surprise attacked. If you can live long enough to get the pet out, then you should be able to use the pet. I am recomending this because its used in alot of other online games and it works well.


But then again these changes the devs are doing are for ppl that do pvp, but really dont hurt ppl much on the pve playing field. With the timer in place. You can call out a pet in the time your scoping out a mission or mob, but again if your on the pvp field you would always have your pet out so you dont get surprised. If you do get surprised without your pet, it will teach you not to have your pet out now wont it.


Yes i speculate on what might be in the upcomeing balance, but i like hard facts when i see them, but we have to wait till there in effect.I can say that your speculating that the devs really dont need the timer, but their not answering ether to prove your speculation wrong ether so we are both speculating on things we have no answer for. But atleast i looking at other reasons your not.

when the devs have answers they usually post them right away, to let us know. the reason they havent answered is because they can't. its that simple. I have stated over and over again why the timer is useless why its not needed, those are facts, plain and simple. and yes I am looking at reasons, other players reasons and I have yetto see from anyone why we need a timer.
