Thread: Publish 8: Various Gameplay Changes

The development team made many gameplay changes as listed. Please post your opinions, comments and feedback.



Gameplay


  • Dantooine now has more hardware to support increased load

  • Reduced the wait time on shuttle ports to 5 minutes (Starports are still 10 minutes).

  • Fixed a bug commonly referred to as the “armor hole”

  • Changed some profession titles to remove redundant or inconsistent names

  • Fixed a bug that prevented the Tusken Robe and Helmet from dropping. (Correspondent Issue)

  • Changed references from "coins" during group looting to "credits".

  • Exploring the Talusian Aqualish Cave will now grant the correct exploration badge

  • Added hooded dress for Trandoshan females
  • When you delete a character, all harvesters and installations that the character owns will be deleted after next server restart.

GCW



  • Imperial Crackdown: Deployed elite novatroopers to support the crackdown on illegal activity

  • Now players can manually control turret targeting for turrets that protect bases. This will give defenders a much greater chance of success in defending their HQ and make attackers have to be more organized when attacking a base.

Player Cities



  • Added bio engineer trainers to the list of possible skill trainers

  • Fixed an issue where in some cases the city specialization would not be applied.

  • Tatooine player garage ramp edge fixed: both sides now crossable



Profession: Bounty Hunter



  • If a Bounty Hunter with a Jedi bounty mission is incapacitated by the Jedi, the Jedi loses his Bounty Hunter enemy flag.

Profession: Entertainer



  • Players need to watch a performer for at least 2 minutes before entertainer buffs can be applied.

Profession: Jedi



  • Tweak to Jedi Bounty Hunter TEF clearing. There is a 30 second wait before the TEFs are cleared giving the Jedi a moment to perform a deathblow if he/she so desires.

Profession: Pistoleer



  • Fixed problem with dodge; dodge no longer stops Pistoleer from running while in combat (Correspondent Issue)

Profession: Scout



  • Fixed a problem where traps could not be thrown indoors.

Vehicles / Mounts



  • Vehicles will no longer auto-heal when left out and stored after a player has taken a transport to another location.

  • Removed fidget action from Cu Pa while mounted

The PSG stat shifting seems to be fixed now, but my PSGs seem to have been 'nerfed' so that they no longer protect against Kinetic, Blast and Acid - is this intended? Also, was the problem where a PSG would be equipped but would not function (i.e. it would not protect against damage and would not lose condition) been fixed?

Please make a way for disabled vehicles to be fixed. I really want to be able to use my AV-21 without stress. I play a game for stress relief not to add stress to my life. Maybe a Artisten repair kit that makes it able to repaired at a garage?

This was said a million times.


STARPORT TIMES NEED TO BE CHANGED TO 5 MINUTES TOO. RIGHT NOW, THE ONLY CHANGE IS PEOPLE ARE ABLE TO GET TO STARPORTS FASTER TO WAIT LONGER.

Cool.... but what about the direct planet to planet flights (NPC smugglers/pilots)?

This is a great addition, but I'm not sure if it will solve the problem. All this really does is give you the opportunity to make sure the turret is attacking the right person. But it also takes someone out of the fight.


The real problem is that fact that turrets break like cheap glass. It would be nice if the larger turrets, which cost 3-4 times as much faction points, actually had a proportionally higher amount of hitpoints. Currently, all turrets have 100K when attached to a base, and they are all stupidly easy to destroy, making defending bases on a daily basis an extremely expensive and time consuming proposition.

I can't wait to see if Dantooine is actually faster now! The lag is horrible there, especially with vendors! wOOt!

The unannounced creature UI changes are very very bad. Creatures now seem to continuously try to adjust to their ideal range. If you have them on follow - great! You can follow them and still kill them. I hope you have melee accuracy while moving... I moved around 30m while killing a huurton huntress. If you don't follow them, congradulations! You can get melee kited (creature gets to a position where it can hit you but you cannot hit back). If you guys make a change of this magnitude, it SHOULD be tested. You just broke the game for many melee classes.

WHY? /sigh More time wasted just standing around doing nothing...

This is a good thing to eliminate, but PLEASE allow disabled vehicles to be repaired while in proximity to garages.



Everything else is pretty much good, except for the Starport wait times (see "more time wasted", above)

No..... why!??! What is the reasoning behind planetary shuttles running more often but starport transports taking longer? 5 minutes should be across the board. The wait is annoying and takes away from time players could actually be playing the game. I don't know how many times I have arrived at a starport only to have the ship close up and take off, and then have to wait for ten minutes doing..... hmmm.... nothing. Why the penalty

If you don't want your vehicle to be disabled then keep it repaired, simple really


I find it amazing that so many people are complaining now that they have to pay to fix their vehicles, I bet the same one's complain that there is too much money around too, well now there is a solution
