It's great to know who does what around here ![]()
"Shortly after that, it's out to the player base at large. At each step we comb the boards for information on how we've done, looking for things to improve. Once we release a publish to the live servers we start the whole process over again."
How much of the boards are read?
Often it feels like what we write is futile and won't be read by red names.
But then we see a post in our forums every once in a while from a dev.
And often we get no response at all, and then months later we see the notes for Publish 7 that goes a LONG way to addressing wants and concerns we've had for ages.
Can we expect to keep seeing red names in the forums, and maybe even on a more frequent basis?

Blair rules!
He started as a QA too! That means I have a chance! (ex-QA Tester for Alter Echo, woo!)

Had a few chances to talk to him in beta...he seems like a good guy.

I like.
But are we ever going to get new info in these things? Or is it always going to be to reaffirm what you are doing.

My wife wants us to re-affirm our vows someday in Las Vegas with an Elvis-impersonator doing the officiating. I looked at her like she was crazy when she said that, and...she is. 8) So I can't fault an SW-themed wedding.
As for the rest of the letter, it was well done - first time I had seen little or no "rah-rah" in an official posting of that nature. That was a welcome change.
Putting on my critic's hat...this project has been running for four years?! Mwerr...
