Thread: New difficulty levels for the Corellian Corvette
As our In-Test process continues, we've increased the difficulty in the Corellian Corvette Dungeon and we invite you to test it out and give us feedback.
(Information repost...)
The Corellian Corvette is the famous Rebel Blockade Runner from Star Wars: A New Hope. It is an exciting adventure with a twist. There are preliminary missions that players will have to complete in order to gain access to the corvette. There are three missions; an Imperial mission, a Rebel mission and a neutral mission. Each of these three categories has three different mission types to complete.fficeffice" />
Imperial Missions Start with:
Lt Sabol: Tatooine, Bestine
Colonel Darkstone: Tatooine, Imperial Oasis
Velso: Emperor’s retreat, Naboo, Bestine
Rebel Missions Start with:
Pashna Starkiller: Corellia, Bela Vistal
Adar Tallon: Corellia, Tyrena
Master Sergeant Crowley: Corellia, Kor Vella
Neutral Missions Start with:
Bruce McBrain: Jabba's Palace, Tatooine, Entrance
Bronell: Tatooine, Jabba's Palace, 2nd Floor
Yondalla: Tatooine, Wayfar Cantina
Once these missions are complete, you will be “shuttled” to the blockade runner for the quest adventure.
Please be sure to check this out and post your experiences and findings here.
May the force be with you!
Notes:
-
This is a group dungeon. -
One player must complete one of the missions. Then the player needs to get a group and they are all shuttled/transported to the dungeon.
Let me add that you don't have to group. You might make it alone...
Well, let me say, that this is a big improvement! It was a big surprise to see factional MOBs with these kind of armor ratings and stats!
Me and my companion Rosaline were completely unprepared when we walked through the first doorway. Our excitement at seeing a Rebel Ensign striding towards us was quickly replaced with horror as he began hitting us (with his auto-attack) for 450 damage a pop. A /examine showed that this lowly hallway-walker was in fact Light Armor rated with considerable resistances! Yikes! (and that's just the easy guys-- some of them are much nastier).
The above poster is, of course, right. The Corvette is not more difficult than the Geo caves (IMHO) and thus will be soloable (by defense stackers/combat gods/profession masters). But buffs are now a MUST to survive and given that most factional content has been... uhm... severely lacking in the high-end, this is great to see.
Bottom line? The new factional NPCs on the Corvette are more like Nightsisters than the typical NPCs you're used to. I can't wait for it to get unlocked sometime today so I can try again!

unless this is harder than the geonosian dungeon it'll be soloable. Probably pretty tough with warcry gone, but since I doubt any of the humanoids would intimidate, shouldn't be too bad. (P.S. I'm actually hoping its really hard... need some good group content)
Im sorry, but anyone that can SOLO the Geonosian Dungeon is either exploiting or.. um.. exploiting. For one thing it is never empty. There are ALWAYS people there camping it. No one could truly solo it. Now let all the uber1337 wannabes come and tell me different.

When "shuttled" to the blockade runner for the quest adventure, is this a seperate instance for each group or will the group run into other groups running the same mission...i.e. will be like the Geon Lab where there are tons of people running around shoting, or will each group have their own spawn/mission to complete at their own pace...
If each group gets their own "blockade runner" quest adventure spawned just for them that I think this is GREAT NEWS!!! if not I am personally concerned with yet another over-crowded adventure....
Has there been word on this yet?
This has been answered. Yes, you get your own dungeon.
