Another big player request brings the ability to move furniture and household items up and down. Players in all houses can now move items up and down by either using the Radial Menu or the following commands: fficeffice" />

* /moveFurniture UP (1-500)

* /moveFurniture DOWN (1-500)

Players will be able to move items vertically in Player Houses, Merchant Tents, Player Association Guild Halls and all player city structures.

Where you able to place items in your house and move them up and down without any problems?

TC only bug: /move forwardusing the command lineSTILL creates a "That object is not in the building" error message. This error message is received on /move up now also.

/move back and /move down work fine via command line.

You can use the radial menu to move items forward or up, but since you can't specify the distance that way, it would be nice to get the command line option working

*Lepo, who really wants to unpack her fishtank which she hasn't been able to do for months without the /move forward command.

they changed the scale.

/move back 300 is roughtly equivalent to what /move back 30 use to do.

Correction to what I said earlier:

using /move up commandline, you get the following error: "Format: /moveFurniture <FORWARD BACK UP DOWN> <distance>"

This also exists on live, I have not been able to use /move forward in my house since publish 5.

That might be a server specific bug, I'm not sure how that would happen but i have no trouble with /move forward on Tarquinas server.

Other people in the same player city say they can use /move forward, but I can't. Maybe it's related to age of house or something, but I'm not going to redeed my house and reposition all myfurniture to resolve a minor inconvenience.

Associated bugreport (4246)

My house is a "Small Tatooine House" and I believe it's style 2

UP:

I was not able to move objects in my house up. I tried objects already placed in my house, objects floating in my house (old and new), objects newly dropped in my house, andpost-patchcrafted objects dropped in my house. Each attempt received the message "Format: /moveFurniture <FORWARD/BACK/UP/DOWN> <distance>

The syntax I used was: /move up 10 and /moveFurniture up 10

I also tried varying distances

DOWN:

I was able to move old and new floated objects down.

I was not able to move objects at their lowest level down more, including furniture on the floor (makes sense but buried furniture effects can be interesting) and backpacks and wall mounted data terminals. (The latter two items which naturally place at a certain height should be able to be lowered.) Note: moving some "floor level" objects lower would be helpful decorating, particularly lowering torches to create fire effects in "fireplaces" and fountains to create spring effects, etc.

FORWARD:

I was not able to move items forward. Always receiving the error message "That object is not within the building."

BACK:

Worked fine

Was able to use /move up/down/forward/back with no problems in a small Tatooine and small Naboo with no problems.

Both houses were crafted in the past month.

Moved several different types of objects.

The limits for movement at the walls was perfect, though I couldn't get objects right up to the ceiling (maybe half a foot away) in the small Tatooine. They stopped maybe half a foot from the top. Which is better than them vanishing into the roof of course But it would be nice if they got as close to the ceiling as they can get to the walls.

Tested:

I made a nice pyramid of holocrons and Janta bloods in my house using the move commands. All worked fine, it is especially nice to have the tightened movememnt scale. at move down 1, i could set those cubes on each other like i could in real life (except in RL i don't have to type in a command) It was difficult to get them to set exactly since i have no viewpoint at that level, i had to very between kneeling and sitting

This error does not happen for me when I am in a structure that I have placed.

It only happens for me in structures that I am on the admin list.

Which makes it fun decorating other peoples houses.....

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."
