So, to be a fully useable ATK ent you need tu use points on both elite ent profs? How friggin annoying, I was gonna take chef but that'll go out the window now.
I take it novice musician will b enough, just alot slower?

It depends on if you want to be a buffbot, or a real player.
A buffbot needs both, yes.
A real player on the other hand has the ability to say "I choose not to do that and only dance."

Well, as my 3rd account I created this char to help my guild as a whole. Dancer/ID I chose as I like the profs and chef so I can actually make some money and seeing as my alt is a DE/SW it means I have to take a prof I didn't wanna take to help myself ... see the frustration?
Sorry I didn't read the forum before choosing my profs but I took the profs I liked not the ones I could see the best advantage in.
I can sorta see the point in what SoE have done but I personally don't like it so i'll have to make the choice ... novice musician or just get my buffs frm someone else.
*shrug* It's our version of "combat stacking". If you want to be a CL80 combat wombat, you have to take two elite masteries and maybe master marksman on top of it. If you want to be a "full service entertainer" you need to take two elite masteries and maybe master entertainer for the extra buffing bonus.
Welcome to the new world of Star Wars: Galaxy of Specialists. The current crop of devs don't want us to have broad character templates, they want us to have narrow ones (or they at least believe that PLAYERS want to have narrow ones).
1) It devalues the rest of the musician and dancer trees and
2) Rewards function over aesthetics
On the other hand, it makes dancers and musicians "useful" earlier, rather than making the profession without income until master.
What a joke.
more importantly what a shame.
Is that the only boxes u need then?
It is tempting just to go musician and dancer x x 4 x and forget mastery .... pity but I don't wanna just be a 'buffbot' as someone said, just able to do several things for guild in addition to what i wanna do for myself.
Well, gonna take a while to get used to it for sure ....
