Seems like any time a macro runs a command it introduces lag into the typing system. This causes whatever letter was typed when the system starts to lag to be put at the end of the keyboard queue instead of the begining, causing anything typed while a macro is running to come out rather garbled, for example I will type "this is an example sentance" with a macro running, I got:
ths ii ans examlep sentance
there was lag at the "i" in this, the "s" in is, and the "p" in example causing them to be put in the sentance out of place. Needless to say this makes comunications while using entertainer macros to control flourishes and other aspects of entertaining.
This is new to pub 11.2, posting in all ent forums and core systems since it affects live entertainers the most

Maybe THAT'S why my "/" commands keep ending up with the "/" halfway through the sentence O_o

Hmm... we might want to look into this further. I've been getting the slashes a letter or two late as well. Thing is, I don't run macros.
Time to test...

Same here, no macros are running when I get this. I'm not sure what it is. I sit and run a bandflo macro when I need to go afk for 5 or 10 minutes, but that's about it. Hrm....

well it may not be macros it may be related to system messages recieved, and the macros are causing those system messages... that could be it too since my lance swap macro (which causes 2 "you can't use this weapon" lines of messages each time it swaps) is the biggest offender

Check to see if the delay happens when you get XP messages or other peoples bandflo messages, I'll play with it a bit later tonight as well, all I know is something is lagging chat and it makes it neigh impossible to type

(moved here from the thread on the dancer board)
I had this problem since launch; when there are too many things happening at the same time, the caret (insertion mark) will start to lag and will not move when I type, hence inserting the new characters at the wrong place. It looks very much like there are multiple threads accessing the event queue without being properly synchronized.
There seem to be additional factors that control whether this behavior occurs but I haven't nailed them down yet.

it has gotten worse in the past week ... i have had to slow down my typing to try to not do it as often =P
it isn't just macro's that cause it tho .. but lag in general ... if i am in a place that doesnt have much population or many moving objects ... and i stay still it doesnt happen but if i try to type while moving on my swoop they happen right and left ...

I'mnoticing a lot ofchat lag..a lot.
It isn't macroes,I don't recall the last time I used one and this is happening when I'm not skill animating too. And it sure is a bother when you're out with a nice guy and every word that comes out of your fingers looks like "hrso/weoi"!

Chat lag gets better when i kill all active waypoints and kill any macro I run... but it's really a nightmare at times, especially when buffing...
