But I have a few questions about getting married in-game. /blush

Last night, I asked my in-game love (she's a master dancer/musician/working on rifleman) to marry me. She said yes and now we are trying to plan forand figure out how to go about getting married. There are a few things that we are unclear on and I was hoping that this wonderful community could enlighten us .

1) How do weget married? Is there a specific person we need to see for it?

2) Can we get married at any location of our choosing?

3) Do the wedding bands have to be identical serial numbers?

We decided on having a small ceremony, but that's as far as we got last night on this. We have a few ideas about where we would like to have the ceremony, nothing concrete yet. We have a lot of things to discuss (the date of the wedding, if we are going to have a reception, maid-of-honor/best man, etc..) and need to find out the basics about getting married in-game first before we can plan any further.

You must both have a ring in your inventory. Target someone, click and hold and you'll find the option to propose unity in the radial menu. There is no one you need to see. No rules. You're free to do it as you wish.

2) Can we get married at any location of our choosing?

It is totally your wedding. All options are your's to decide.

3) Do the wedding bands have to be identical serial numbers?

No. They may be loot dropped or tailor made.

I'm getting married on Saturday and I can't believe how nervous I am!

Congratulations! I would love to go but I have to be at work all day Saturday

I was so nervous last night to just propose to her, I thought my stomach had a marching party of krayts running around in it.

Thanks for the info Esharra, makes it pretty simple now

Remember, wedding bands do not decay. If you have a ring with stats on it, I highly recommend using that.

I've always been a big fan of Dee'ja Peak, Naboo.

Nice gigantic waterfall, and the hanging garden when you walk over the high bridge and up the hill would be very picturesque.

I love that place, spent a lot of time grinding there just for the view.

Not always true! I got married after the patch and my ring is 0/0. Maybe now with theimproved CSR service I'll try filing a ticket again...

Only bad thing about SWG unity is that they don't let us marry more than *one person

My wedding rings decay everytime I die.

I'm a Corellian, so I'd look into Vrenti Island for the honeymoon, or perhaps the ceremony on the mainstage. Of course, if you want to elope, I hear the Coronet Courthouse can do these matters rather quickly.

...And just in case dear, if you ever need a divorce, you don't need to drag itthrough the courts. Just destroy the ring, and you won't even have to worry about who gets the house, the AV-21, or the pet Kuask.

I highly recommend getting personalized rings made special for you both from a tailor. That's what Roho and I did and once in a while I just take a peek at the engraving - it's beautiful. Ours say identical things (Kirah and Roho in Perfect Harmony), but you might consider getting your rings made and engraved separately so you can surprise each other when you exchange them (there is a character limit).

One more thing - the person who "proposes" goes down on one knee, so keep that in mind if that distinction matters to either of you.

And congratulations! Roho and I have been married ingame for just over a year and a month. Best of luck - if you are both good ingame friends you will make a terrific ingame couple!

I was just going to suggesst the same thing. Having them engraved will make it more personal. I like the idea of surprising one another.
