I just bought a jukebox for my home, just to test it out. I love it! I think my favorite music/dance combination so far is Max Rebo 1 and the Popular 2 dance. It works very well!

What are other suggestions for songs/dances that you have noticed works well??

If it's a given, why would you utilize this?

My question was regarding jukeboxes, not live musicians. I was asking which songs from the jukeboxes work well with what certain dances..

I completely understand and sympathize with the musician. But, let's be nice...please.

OT slightly: if they dropped the entertainer professions, I probably would discontinue my subscription (to put it lightly) dancer is not just some little stacker grind. It's a mindset, a lifestyle to those who are TRULY dancers (make this interchangeable with musician) We have a community, both on the forums and in the games and look out for one another. I've yet to see a Smuggler stand up for another Smuggler against someone griefing him merely for the fact he is a Smuggler. As a community, we should have a voice. We have the ability to make ourselves heard, now we just have to be organized enough to make ourselves understood.

Um, yea...sorry for the OT semi-rant

COMPLETELY OT: I now have the gift of edit!!!!

Lets not get pessimistic over the future of entertainers, although having said that the current publish is rapidly driving me out of the cantinas. The interminable gunfights are really destroying my enjoyment of dancing and ruining the relaxing and social atmosphere.

On jukeboxes, I am considering getting one for my house so that I can work on my macros. However this will never replace the fun of dancing along side musicians.

I have no desire to listen to a jukebox. Roho (andall our musician friends)worked too long and hard to gain the skills and talent to become a Master Musician/Master Entertainer. I'm not about to undermine his dedication by using a jukebox. This is just my own personal decision and opinion.

I feel this is just another stupid, braindead, careless and thoughtless move on the part of the devs which only serves to further weaken our already fragile professions. I'd go so far as to saythis onesurpasses even putting a broken questdance on live.

Yes, I realize those are worst-case assumptions... but really, can we be blamed for considering them?

No, not at all. I think we should consider them. It's a definite concern. It's just that I hate seeing snippy replies to people who ask a perfectly innocent question in their minds. It's one thing to open up a discussion and start to explain nicely why someone feels the way they do. It's quite another to add a one line sarcastic comment.

I saw the way this thread was heading, and it looked like a "gang up" was starting, and I was hoping to n!p that in the bud because that kinda stuff really irritates me.

Omg...the word n!p is banned from the forums. hahahahaha

Hereare some of my thoughts for what they are worth:

-The jukebox music is very wonderful and should have been in the game via MUSICIANS a long time ago

-I would love to have one in my home and as a dancer can see a thousand possiblitites for dances and wouldlove to have the opportunity to work with IT to do so

-I think the musician profession as a whole is severly impacted by this THING and is not recoverable

-I will NOT under any circumstances buy, use, promote, or perform near IT until our musicians are given what they justly deserve as much as i really really want to try.

-entertainers will be replaced by other THINGS that will then heal and buff as the discussions are not going in the direction we need them to by the majority of whatI see and "hear"

My boycott is useless I'm sure but it's a matter of principle and respect, something sorely lacking in this game already. Just a hope that other entertainers have enough energy to keep fighting...I know I am running low after this week

I love the jukebox, however i have a musician/dancer alt myself so i can understand the concerns of musicians very easily, its not something you can play music along to very easily.

However ive found that a recording droid, + musician + Jukebox playing the soothing tatooine track sounds quite nice.

That said, i spend a lot of time restocking vendors in my shop, and the jukebox is nice alternative to having mp3's in the background, however id love for them to add some of them songs to the musicians. and maybe even add a singer/songwriter proffession.
