Try reading the damn FAQs at the top before putting out a flame-bait post that is the equivalent of sticking a sharp stick into our collective eyeballs, you insensitive clod.

Wow, I need to get more sleep.

Or a self imposed return to your Happy Monday thread, at least, Javy! /grin

You guys are kind of harsh for a profession that seems to exist ONLY as support characters. I've seen only 1 person in the last month or more playing entertainer as a non-bot (And I'm going to guild her). But ragging on someone who at least to me appears to make up 95% of the population is not going to help you gain any respect for the people who are choosing to make entertainer their primary profession. Personaly I'd do all my healing through a real entertainer but like I said, even though I travel extensively I don't see them.

Ok I'm done flame away :-)

Dont think youll find any REAL entertainers on this forum who will help buffbot with tips or macros to be honest......

Yup, the vast majority of players you'll find on this forum are opposed to unattended game playand its contribution to the continuing degradation of the Entertainer Professions.

Look, the guy essentially took a large dirty stick, lit it on fire, jammed one end into a large wasp's nest, and then shook it around vigorously.

Now, what kind of a person does that? Someone who doesn't know any better, someone too stupid to think things through to conclusion, or someone who enjoys riling up a wasp nest for whatever reason. If it's the former, they now know better. If it's the latter, they deserve to get stung.

Either way, you don't blame the wasps.

And don't get us started on the whole "ONLY a support professions" thing!

You don't see them because of people abusing the macro system. So, coming into both the dancer and musician forums and posting the same question about macroing isn't going to get a very good response. And since a large chunk of the server population has been sh!ting on entertainers for a long time now, the entertainers are quite bitter.

To vaguely answer the original question: the more frequently you flourish, the faster you apply the buff. The quantity of flourishes to do and pauses to use is an exercise left to the reader. Play the class, you'll figure it out pretty quickly. (One more tip: turn on chat timestamps)

I'm baaaaaack
And it looks like I'll be going again.

My rl husband had a support buffer on his second account when I decided to stop running every time he wanted a Mind Buff and I wouldn't keep Doc anyway. He never ever botted with his alt. Not all people with second account buffers are botters and they usually only use their own buffer when really desperate. It is always easier to have someone else do it if they are closer, managing two accounts is a pain.

Second account buffer != Buff Bot

I don't feel that my gameplay is directly harmed by a second account buffer, though I do feel that it is harmed by Buff Bots. My man is always nice to Ents and tips well, he's since dropped all Ent Skills and picked up some combat so he now has a Combat/Doc Alt. He was Ent supportive before his alt was an Ent Buffer, while his alt was an Ent Buffer, and now after his alt is no longer an Ent Buffer.

My alt has been a Tailor so that I can make my own clothes sometimes. Does that mean I have a Tailor Bot? Second accounts are allowed. A lot of people just enjoy having alts. It only makes sense that once you get that second account, you will use it to do something useful for your "main." This is not a problem for Dancers. The problem for Dancers is that so many people with alts feel the need to train up Dancer.

We shouldn't be the main choice for alts for everyone. This is a very telling sign thatwe are not setup well as a playable support option. We need improvements so that we are worth more as a "main" than an alt. We need to be more fun and more accessible so that the people who want to play a Dancer will and the people who need Dancer support will leave them to it.

Anyway, yeah, you can find all the info you need in the sticky.
