Thread: Macro needed for the fast Dancer Buff

Well guys, when you work shift work in real life, so generally when you play there are no dancers around and you dont want to spend an hour space hopping in the vain hope of trying to find one before you run off to fight mobs that you need a mind buff for - maybe you will understand why I have a dancer/musician support character. I only want it for personal use on my own character so its not that I'm just leaving it running afk to deprive the player dancer musicians. However maybe I should do just that after the warm reception I have recieved here and in the dance forum.....

Incidently I found the macro I was looking for.

"However maybe I should do just that after the warm reception I have recieved here and in the dance forum"

Well, that's certainly one way to handle it.

Another might be to try to understand why your post touched such a huge nerve. Maybe you'll come to understand the plight of entertainers and find out why this post was so insensitive and incendiary. Perhaps even apologize to the community that you invaded and perhaps inadvertently insulted, rather than threaten them on your way out the door.

*shrug* Your call, of course.

Eh.

Yeah, why be different.

Go the easy route. Give in to the Dark Side.

If you really were an innocent bystander in all of this, why threaten us after you've obviously upset everyone.

Was almost feeling sorry for you, until you threw that jab in there. Then I just disregarded anything you'd said previous.

Do what you will. In the end, it's Dev indifference that will kill us. Not buffbots. People who do live entertainment will die off, and the buffbots will take over. Then the game will be full of PC NPC's, and the Devs will have no one to blame but themselves.

So, do what you want. Thanks for dropping by. Next time you're in any profession's forum in the future, I would suggest not asking how to perform their benefit to the game while making a coffee. You will find most will react just as we did. Especially ones who have serious AFK problems. Don't blame us or get pissed at us, blame the Devs for making us this way and doing nothing about it.

Good day to you.

At the end of the day I came to this forum to get some help, I dont play a dancer/musician character, so I would not be aware of the problems or concerns that you guys have, all i asked for was a bit of help for the reasons I have listed, as a personal character buff, not to deprave anyone of 'tips' all i wanted was to log on, target my character press a button with a macro and be done asap and off back with my main fighting.

My plea was asked innocently and with no intentions of offending - what I got in return was a barrage of abuse - then you ask why do i throw comments in like ' maybe I should leave my dancer running'.

At the end of the day I found the macro i was looking for, and no I dont intend to use my dancer/musician for anything other than I originally intended.

But next time when someone genuinely asks for advice maybe you should think a bit before flaming in future.

Play your character how you want. It is your 14.95, not theirs.

There's the key word, and that's really all we ask. Play your characters.

You're talking to a brick wall, airdew is the biggest bot on the flurry galaxy, whats worse is somehow he's infected many of the live ents into thinking he's an ok guy, even tho he takes millions in tips that could otherwise go to live ents, and has singlehandedly inflated the mind enhancment tape market on our server to unreachable levels by normal entertainers, and most high level crafters.

I don't look like a brick wall.

Oh, and i never inflated tape prices. I got MOST of my tapes from my guild. The others I paid what I thought were a fair price. You should see some of the offers I get and reject.

I'm not going to get into this.

I think I am a pretty nice guy, You have never talked to me, how do you know what kind of person I am. Oh, that right, i'm ignored.....

Yes I've heard your sob story, poor Ehne couldn't find a ent buff so he made a buff bot and provided one as a service to the comunity. So very noble but for one thing, if you just do it because live ents aren't available to, then why don't you STOP when live ents ARE available to? Oh thats right, even if you are there to see that somebody who's not afk is there to try to earn some money buffing, you don't stop or at least offer to split (have them do one buff while you do the other, split the money) because you'd rather pad your pockets. Its not about service or being nice, you're in it for the money now, you don't want anything to do with the ent comunity, you're just using it to make money AFK, oh, and its not just ignore, its banned from my structures too

my advice would be to write a LOOPLESS macro for buffing, not saying this to insult you or flame you, but because they are going to put an end to the macro looping so you may want to get in the habit of not using them, sense well they are removing them.

people say "well there's a way around it" they'll fix that too lol IMO.
