Thread: Can anybody tell me some good AFK marcos for a dancer?
I would greatly appreciate the help. I'm trying to become a Master dancer.
This board is not for you to come to and read and get your little AFK macro to become uber dancer. Do some research, all the answers are already posted or you can actually find them within the game. If you are too lazy to do that go buy one off E-bay.
Uh DS I'm confused...
Didn't you recently post a lenghty message on why there are good reasons to AFKMer? And that you are AFKMing so that you can become an uber dancer? Or are you just practicing staire?

If this board just becomes a place to come and get your macros so you can AFK away, it will be nerfed hard and soon, I don't want that.
So in other words you're saying don't do what I'm doing because I don't want it to be nerfed? That is awful greedy, self centered, and uncool. Worse, I would say than coming to the forum just to get an AFK macro, not that I'm judging that is the only reason the original poster came here.
Thats not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying if you want to macro figure out how to write one yourself, all the information you need is given by SOE.
Furthermore, if this board just becomes a macro exchange AFK macros will be nerfed, and I don't want that.
Now I may be being unreasonable, if you think so I can give himall themacros he can stand.

I was about to write it.
If people are to lasy to learn the game basics, read the manuel or use the ingame help well we can't do it for them. You can become a Master dancer without using macros. Is that hard to edit a macro button such as /flo # ; /pause # ; /flo # ;/pause # ; /sit ; /pause # ; /stand ; /flo # etc ?

How very hypocriticalDS-61-1. Do not try to enforce your own questionable ethical standards on someone else. It seems you are just afraid if too many people afk-macro dance, they will nerf it and you won't be able to.
As for the Macros, create 2..
Macro1:
/flourish 1;/pause 30;/ui action toolbarSlot00;
Macro 2:
/startdance basic;/pause 1000;/ui action toolbarSlot01;
This is a simple example, not an efficient example. Place these into your first two slots on your toolbar and go to bed.
Dancing is dancing though. I had just as much fun working up to Master Dancing as I do Dancing. If you don't enjoy basic or basic2, then you're not going to enjoy exotic2 or exotic4.
No actually, Im a master ent/master dancer now so I don't need to macro it anymore, and I really do believe if you are going to macro you should at least learn to write your own. But since we've already ruined that...
Make sure you include all the unique flourishes for your dance in the macro, for exotic they would just be 1 and 2, poplock has 1, 2, and 3I believe. be sure to put them in a few times each and mix up the other so someone has to watch very closely to see that you are AFK. If you stand somewhat off to the side, and be sure to turn off auto AFK, you won't draw enough attention to be thought afk, but you will be visible enough for themedics to heal you, so you can cut down the time between flourishes even more. 10 works pretty well, especially if you can check in every so often and make sure yous till have a medic partner. Actually, I haven't tried this yet, but if you have 2 accounts you could probably set up the other one to heal you all night and level a medic and your Entertainer. Also find a very busy cantina, its worthless to AFK macro where you won't be making xp, in a full band you will make 3-4x the xp, and most of the time no one will know or care that you are AFK. If you feel you must include chat in your macro, which is a very bad idea because it gives you away, put it on its own macro, and put different lines with long pauses in between so the timing of what you say is different than your flourishes and people will think you are typing it out if what you say varies slightly, this also aids in fooling the actual player into thinking you are not afk. Also be sure to make a new chat tab solely for PMs and turn the sound up so you can here when soemone PMs you, then you can just alt+tab out of SWG and do other things you need to without missing any important information liek a change to get apprentice points or just soemthign a friend says.
With a little thought and effort put into a macro, you can do it all night long and no one will ever suspect you, you can even make your dances look just as good as a live dancers if you pay attention to your dance specific flourishes and your /pause timing.

And therein lies the problem. LOL if your AFK macro dancing is what you consider a 'live dancer' to look like or be like, then it's truly tragic.
Dancing is more than running flourishes.. how about actually performing, and entertaining people?
Oh wait. It's FAR more important to have 'master' under your name, so you can do a different dance and still not be a good dancer

I am macroing afk currently, because I just learned poplock and hate it! I don't want to watch myself doing this robot-mime dance, and just want to get the XP to learn something new as soon as possible.
If anyone has a problem with this, just don't tip me until I learn a dance style I actually enjoy doing. *I* wouldn't even tip me if I had to watch myself do this stupid dance to heal!
