Thread: Can anybody tell me some good AFK marcos for a dancer?
Actually I can always tell who is AFK right away even without the AFK sign because they never respond when people 1> tip them or 2> call them by name to ask them something via a /say. And BTW entertainer groups that I am in have no problem telling the customer who is AFK without their sign because if you been there a couple hours and the same person keeps repeating things over...and over...and over...
They alsonever participate in the group chats either and honestly most of my fun is in chatting with my entertainer group!
I think this is because of the lore behind Twi'leks. The species, especially females, are frequently sold into slavery and kept as status symbols by the powerful and wealthy because of their extreme beauty and grace in dancing.

And why is it almost all the dancers are Twil'lik (sp?) or human.
If you're gonna be AFK for more than say 15 mins the best macro you can have is:
/sit; /bye;/logout
Twi'lek get bonuses for healing.
Humans to look attractive to the real people behind the computer screens.
/sit
/pause 5
/logout
the sitting takes a few seconds
but seriously, I want a good macro for dancing, I didn't know about the actionbar call commands, thanks to whoever posted that suggestion to the board. Now, how bout posting your most sucessful afk macros!
With the new server reset times I will finally be able to do a fair bit of leveling up while at work.
And all you haters go flourish yourselfs.

Not a big fan of AFK macros, but the profession of entertainer would be sorely hurt if macros were taken away. A lot of us use them to coordinate dance routines. Sometimes to get the flourishes to mesh you have to get the timing exact and you just can't do it with the keyboard and still have any kind of conversion with your customers. I also have some great macros now to do quick clothing changes to match my dance and I'm working on a multi dance routine that uses well timed spot lights to cover up the awkwardness of /changedance. I personally think macros are essential to a well done dance and would not want to see them taken away.
As long as the AFK's stay out of the cantina then live and let live, it doens't really matter to me. Some people enjoy the journey and some only care about the destination. I suspect the ones driving for the destination will switch to something else when they grow bored.
I don't think you're going to get anyone to post up a macro for you. Some people have already given examples of basic ones. If you have specific questions on how to get a macro to work or what types of commands can go in a macro than ask those. Otherwise just spend one evening playing around with them and I don't think you'll have any trouble coming up with something basic enough to let you hit master in your sleep.

Macro1:
/flourish 1;/pause 30;/ui action toolbarSlot00;
Macro 2:
/startdance basic;/pause 1000;/ui action toolbarSlot01;
This is a simple example, not an efficient example. Place these into your first two slots on your toolbar and go to bed."
Could anyone please explain this a bit more clearly?
I tried to get this to work and was met with only failure, and before I get another flaming about afk dancing, I ONLY DO IT IN MY LOCKED HOUSE!

What exactly is the problem?
Let's work through it one macro at a time.
Create the first macro, name it FlourishLoop
/flourish 1;/pause 30;/ui action toolbarSlot00;
Place the icon for this in the first (left most) toolbar slot. Click it with the mouse. Note the bell sound you hear when you click it. You should flourish immediately, and then a bit later you should hear the same bell sound, and flourish again, and this should repeat forever.
Basic Macros:
1. put everything on it's own line
2. end every line with a semi-colon;
3. don't know it the same name as a command. it tends to not like that.
The basics of the example is you have two macros. The first one runs and then calls the second one. The second run and calls the first one creating an infinite loop. The example is extremely basic and you will want to change it.. example: I don't think you need to wait for 1000 clicks to recover from one flourish. You setup will be flourish, pause, flourish, plause, etc.. eventually a sit and recover than fire the second macro. Rinse and Repeat. As a database admin I will warn you that infinite loops are bad and evil! And, since there is no way to exit out of a macro I do not know how you intend to get your character out of the loop short of logging when you hit the sit time. In the mean time you are potentially stopping a live player from entering the game as there is a max on the number of player a server can have at any one time.
