The catch-all afk/buff bot thread didn't even make it 24 hours? Amazing.

Just a little Corr/Mod miscom... GarVa and I are on it! Mods and Corrs, making your Dancer Forum a better place one PM at a time.

Really, just trying to keep us all going and freely speaking. I've just swamped the poor Mod In Box over the holiday so it's a little hectic.

Well I can tell you straight up a few of the long time posters to this forum feel like their ideas and opinions are not welcome here anymore to the point where they are actually trying to avoid posting valuable and insightful ideas. They feel like between the opinionsofblue names and over zealous/opinionated dancers that anything they post is instantly disregaurded or outright flamed without being given a fair shot at discussion merely because these ideas involve taking the game play of dancer back to the post beta pre-buff period.

I don't think panthu has any problem with constructive discussion however, things get heat up here sometimes. please remember that it's panthu's job to report threads that get out of hand. she's working hard for the profession

K, I don't like to dwell on the negative so I wasn't going to post in this thread again. There isn't really anything I can say. I miss the old posters too and the main complaint I've heard from them for months now has been "it's just a war zone in there, all they want to do is fight over the same stuff over and over again with out listening to anyone else."

Some of my own teachers from Starsider have told me that. I hate it that they don't feel welcome and have very much tried to make this a friendlier place for everyoneand more than a littleso those old pillars of the community would come back.

I have to report abusive threads though. If it's not me, then someone else in this position would. We have forum rules... and they are good rules meant to keep conversation open and everyone feeling safe to voice their opinion in a constructive manner.

As long as you are constructive, you can complain as much as you want on pretty much any topic. As long as you are polite to your fellow posters, you can disagree with them and displease them as much as you like. I have never reported anyone for having an unpopular opinion and neither did Raven before me.

I do try to keep the trolls away, but only real trolls... and they are usually visitors and certainly not long term Dancers. If anyone has a situation that they think I can have an influence over that is keeping them from posting, please tell them to PM me and I'll try to help.

If they have a problem with me, Tiaga, or NewJedi posting too much, well, I don't really know what to say about that. I don't think any of us really post that often in the Big or Hot Topic threads, we mostly just listen to what you guys are saying and write it down.

I hope the Sticky will help people feel like they can speak more freely with out feeling like they are going to get jumped on from the "other side" and I hope it still allows to get their feelings out to the Devs either through me, Tiaga, any of the other Corres, Mods, and evenlurking Devs themselves.

We'll try it, if it stinks we'll dump it. No biggie.

Don't get me wrong PanthuI am not saying stop posting... Nothing of the sort. I think though that to some people when a blue name posts an opinion, thediscussion is closed. This is generally when the one star squad steps in and "protects" the opinions it finds credible. Also this is when a lot of the over zealous types get the courage to flame nonblue name supportedopinions freely. I guess all I am really saying is that you guys just need to be aware that a lot of folks see your opinions as official word from the devs. True or not.

I know Panthu and some others think that I'M just a troll and that I spent the last year as a Dancer just for the sole purpose of coming in here and causing trouble.

Unfortunately there are a lot of other dancers as well as musicians that feel as I do about a number of issues.

Its been made abundantly clear to us however that our opinions, questions and ideas are not welcome here if they fly in the face of the 'official' opinions.

The current joke going around the Dancer undergroud is..'Keep an open mind.' which is forum parlance for... 'Don't argue. Agree with everyone else.'

And despite all that... we're STILL Dancers and Musicians.

I agree and this is why I usually do not post in a serious thread until towards the end. Also, sometimes I will pop into a thread and write something very short if I have a little knowledge on something coming down or being discussed by the dev team and I want to give you guys a little nudge with out blowing in and just saying "look, here's how it is."

I like discussion. I've always liked discussion and it's led me to Admin and Mod positions in many different forms of online communications and many different kinds of online communities for almost a decade now.

People don't always agree with me even with this silly "blue tag" though... go look at our current stickies. People posted after me, and many of them disagreed. *shrug* Sometimes I will speak more passionately about a certain item than I actually feel, because I do want to see people's concern on the item and I'm not getting the full story when I just come in here and ask "so, what do you guys think about this?"

I spend a lot of time thinking about how to keep you guys talking. I have no attachment to any one kind of Dancer or any one kind of Dancer Request. I always say that we have a lot of varying opinions in here and it is because this profession attracts such passionate people. I don't think that's a bad thing, I think it's one of the coolest things about us.

This is bull. I have never called you or your alt a troll. I have disagreed with you under both names less than I have supported you. I even mentioned you in my very first Corr post ever in here. You decided you disliked me when I posted some facts in your last "going away" thread. I later met your Alt in game and was unsettled by your interaction with both patrons and the other Entertainers. So much so that I have not been back to that server for another casual gathering.

You are free to play how ever you like. I don't have to be comfortable with being aroundit though. I see no reason for this to be a personal issue for us, we just don't play our Dancers the same way. *shrug* Who cares? Wouldn't it be boring if we were all acted exactly a like? I'm willing to be uncomfortable sometimes and remove myself from a situation all the while fighting for your right to act that way. I don't have to love every little speck about your gameplay to champion it to the Devs.

Your posts on either of your accounts are usually very thought provoking and I largely agree with a lot of what you say most of the time. I do not agree with attacking other player groups or other Dancers who like to make money off of something other than extremely flirty chat. It would be very bad if the Dancer Correspondent didn't want to see people getting paid for Dancing as an option. It's a game mechanic that all Professions have to deal with, I understand your feelings on the matter, but it still has to be discussed.

I am still a player and if you call me out again I will report you for harassment. Stop talking about me in game. Stop trying to make everyone think I have it out for you. Don't ever send me another hateful PM again.

I've apologized to you that you don't like me. I've told you I have no personal problems with you or your posts. You are starting to make me very uncomfortable with this obsession.

I for one have little to no problems with Panthu. I think she does a really good job of observing and piping in information when she knows some. I've seen people disagree with the blue font, I've disagreed with Panthu at times but overall I think she's done a fantastic job at representing us dancers. If you do not have the guts to disagree with a blue name, then perhaps the problem is the issue isn't big enough, not that you aren't being heard. I've never seen Panthu step in and tell some they are wrong or a discussion is closed.

I for one have a big /hurray for Panthu and her efforts with this very broken profession

It is sad that we need a general rant thread though. That should be a huge hint to the devs that something's not right, you'd think anyway
