Thread: Dancing one's way to Jedi
I knwo this is a touchy subject to be asking, but I never tried an entertainer based profession. I'm thinking of picking up dancer, since there are some things in the senses tree that I wouldn't mind having, and dancer/musician seems to be one of many ways to get there.
My question basically is, if one was grinding none-stop, maybe 8 or so hours a day, about how many weeks would it require to complete a tree?
My apology again for the touchy question, I hope not to get flamed by this, but for income of experience, I am pretty curious how fast the income is on it.
Thanks,
Combat is by far the easiest path to FS/Jedi imo and from my testing. If you are just wanting to play an Ent, we always think that's awesome around here.
If you are thinking it will make the path to Jedi faster though, we most likely aren't your best bet. If you just want the FS Tree our bonuses are in, you still most likely want to go with one of the other options.
I'm not sure anyone will be able to answer this question, as entertainers were essentially left out of the "Path to Jedi", so there aren't a lot of dancers with that type of information. Not real dancers, anyway.
In addition, I'm not sure the folks here will look too kindly on you using their profession as some sort of "stepping stone" on your way to uberness. The whole idea with the new quests was to stop that insanity, not encourage it further.
In short, this question is unwise at best.
I'm not proposing using all afk macroing, but dancing/music is generally a task that doesn't need the most active user most times, someone can be at the keyboard doing other things, answering questions, and the like - but doesn't need as much 'dedicated' working.
I do understand your feelings though, as after the holo grind, I'm sure everyone in this forum, as other forums are really not happy with the 'use my profession as a stepping stone' type of deal.
I really hope I didn't offend anyone too bad here, that was not my idea. I just was hoping that I could find something that would be a constant income of exp, that didn't require a powergamer type of attitude to work with.
Well thanks again for the information and help.
Medic is a possibility, I guess, since I can make high level stims with my doctor, and use my other character to heal..but I generally dislike the afk tumblers found in almost every place now. Medic, maybe even master medic, may be good though, so possibly I can heal myself while in combat, even when a jedi.
My apologies again if I hit any nerves with people here - that wasn't the intention of this.
Thanks,
You need to be master medic to even get the healer/persuasion quest. You need to be a master doctor tocomplete the quest on your own.
You need at least novice artisan to get the survey / luck quests as it requires you to survey to complete.
Dancer is "easy" experience, the only major bonus is the cap for Dancing exp is 900k and the cap for Doctor healing is 80k and yet they have the same conversion rate. Regardless I would say that dancing exp is NOT the easiest way to go for grinding out a jediand the senses tree has very little to offer. We get the best exp when we are watched and healing folks, your hard exp grind is highly dependent on others and not as constant as exp you get from combat.
Combat is your best bet to a quick jedi. Yes I know you are not at the computer a lot because of school and are looking for a macroable exp grinder, but if I was SOE I would say "then you will just have to wait longer for a jedi"
Honestly, combat will get you what you want faster.
My suggestion if you want some senses branches is to get ranger to go with your combat profession. Scouting exp such as trapping, harvesting and camps all transfer into the Senses FS tree. You can grind your combat and weapon exp while at the same time grind scout exp to transfer to the senses tree by harvesting what you kill.
Good luck ![]()

Heh..we can commiserate..you can only imagine how we feel about afk macrotainers and bots. But seriously, if I were intending to go any further into FS, I'd be training medic up right now. Good luck to you.
