It's Monday, I'm at work and it's kind of a slow day. I need something to keep me occupied and I think the big entertainer announcement that's coming up would do nicely. Especially since Jenden (the DE correspondent and one of my good friends on Tarq) keeps teasing me with it.
Come on devs, tellllll meeeeeeeee! Because if I hear Jenden sing "I know something you don't know" ONE MORE TIME... he's gonna be putting his droids together with his teeth, assumingI don't knock all of them out!

Aww, Jenden's not mean, he just likes to tease me.
He's a really awesome guy. Even if he doesn't like music. Weirdo.
Anyway, don't Glowie poke him. He might like it.

It's just NDA Overload Stress Syndrome... all Corrs get it, lol.
The goofy thing is, half the time what you are NDA sitting on doesn't even end up getting released the same way you last saw it.
Which sadly, can make the syndrome even worse.
Tiggs has promised to set up a rehab center when the budget will allow for it.

Knowing the devs the big entertainer announcement will be, "We have been doing random checks on you guys in game recently and have concluded you guys need some changes to make what you do work better11!1!!!! Starting with this patch healing times have been removed, and all dances/music will no longer have those annoying animations or sounds! On top of these great changes we are also increasing the distance for /shout and making it so that dance or music allow a player to bypass AFK and ingore filters so that more players can find you!"

While I'm here... can I just say, was there a full moon yesterday? People were acting so weird.I spent a very large part of my day in the Theed cantina... and people's treatment of me was so varied. I had the extremely bad and the extremely good. First the bad: Some Todd (not an insult, she reallyis a guy IRL)comes into the cantina, POKES ME, and says "invite." I was speechless. Two seconds later she thought to tack on a "plz", because yeah, using abbreviated speak makes it SO much better. When I got indignant and refused to buff her, she started attacking me and accusing me of PMSing and being a typical woman. I was, in a word, pissed.
The good: a trando I'd never met before came into the cantina, greeted me and said "Avadiha, can I buy a mind buff from you, please?" I was SHOCKED. Even in groupchat, one of my guildies was like "manners??!? omg!" Of course I said yes, told him my price, he tipped me and then said "If you don't mind, can you direct your performance to me? I'm in a group." At which I'm pretty sure I told him I loved him. I said "Most people don't even know that command exists." He said "I used toplay a dancer." He was incredibly polite, thanked me profusely, AND said he would stop going to Coronet and come to see me instead. He also started sending friends and guildmates to me. I buffed more people yesterday than I have in probably six months. LOL

I have no idea about the moon but I was hanging in my theatre with an Imperial friend (myself being all lovely and Rebel-y) when his Imperial friend came (dressed to the nines in a complete Imp outfit) I said hello and made small chat with the friend. Ok, no. I said hello and ATTEMPTED small chat with the friend. He refused to talk to me because I was rebel. We were on the stage area at the time so I ran inside and banned him from my theatre. I told him getting unbanned would be as simple as saying hello. He actually got our mutual friend to kill him rather than talking to me.
But yes, entertainer revamp *crosses fingers* Maybe it's a good sign that they leaned how to stop combat when people are AFK because it shows they are working on the overall afk issue. Maybe that was just the simplest one to solve. YES, I am an optimist.

I was spending some time in Theed over the weekend and I saw the most wonderful thing!
A brand new player, still in diapers (Desert crawlers) taking up dancer. It really puts things in perspective to watch someone discovering the game and simply glowing about how wonderful it all is.

We had someone like that last weekend.
Although I don't think she was exactly new, since five minutes into her dance she was spamming for tips and heals. /sigh

See that's the weird thing though about him, he doesn't like music, but he's a musician in game as well as a DE/shipwright

I've met a few noobs that were really excited about entertainer. Then for some reason about a month later they disappear into oblivion without a word.
