***Important Public Service Announcement for Dancers and Musicians Who Use Entertainer Droids***
When you call your Entertainer Droid, please be sure to tell your droid to "stay." Do NOT forget to do this.
You can program the command on your droid under the droid's radial menu. It might be handy to create a macro called "droidStay" or something, with the command "/tellpet stay" in it.
There is a way for people to take control of your droid so that it runs off with them, instead of hanging out by you like it's supposed to. This is achieved with anemote, which is kind of strange. It's not exactly "stolen" as you can store and call it again, but it IS griefing, as people seem to be getting a lot of enjoyment by harassing other players with this. The same situation applies to animal pets. If you do a /tellpet stay, though, your droid will follow your command and override anyone else's attempt to control your droid. As the droid's master, your command takes precendence over anyone else.
There are reports of infant-mindedplayers in this game taking control of Doctor's droids while the Docs are buffing, making the Doc stop buffing and then they have to Store and call the droid again, and the whole process repeats. As you can imagine, the stupid folks doing this are not making friends with everyone in the buff line.
Morons are also making Merchant Barker droids follow them, and they're leading them off the waterfall in Theed and dumb junk like that.
I encourage you to /report anyone who is obviously doing this. Typically, the idiot will have multiple droids following them and think it's hysterical. /report them. If anyone steals your droid, or someone else's droid, /report them. If you see someone thieve a Doctor's droid while you're waiting in line, /report them. Keep doing a /report until they fix this, because it can get VERY frustrating.
Inform your groupmates, spread the word, and so forth - we Entertainers need to keep this from happening to us. It's an annoyance we really don't need, and it's solved by a simple command.
Thought I'd keep you all informed on how to keep this from happening to you.

You will know some moron is trying this when they start spamming an emote towards your pet/droid.
As an example (not as bad as making pets follow) you can /pet someone's animal and make them lay down. Even though the animal's master didn't command it, people can influence your pets.
I purposefully didn't specify how this is done, with the idea that we not continue to circulate that information. I know some people might want to be helpful and explain how this is done, but please don't help this griefing method spread. Thanks.

Have you tried this method on buffbots? I'd love to help them to the edge of the Theed waterfalls.

Thanks for the heads up on this issue. I've using the stay command, anyways (I really don't want my droid to follow me when I move around the dance floor... lol), b ut I'll definitely keep my open incase I see somebody doing this to others.

most emotes towards pets only makes them do an stationary animation, there is not harm it in since it does nothing to harm the owner. The problem is people use a certain emote that makes the pet move towards them. This hurts a lot of the crafting and doc droids since they need to be stationary to perform their needed tasks.
Personally, I like it when people pet and emote towards my pet. I usuelly make him do tricks when they are noticed. But what these people (who are rumored to be as sharp as a beachball, and about as bright as a black hole) are doing is much much worse
But i agree, keep the specific emote out of the public forums so we can prevent 'tards from using it to harm other players

Hehe
I've recently taken to dancing with my 3 birdies (benefit of being dancer/MCH
) and sometimes people run off with them this way.
Haven't had anyone try it with my droid...
Wondering if having them patrolling helps. I always have my droid patrolling and I've started having my pets do it now too, so I guess I'll see next time someone tries to steal one.
