Thread: So I walk into the cantina in Mining Outpost on Dathomir...
...I'm out there to check on my fiberplast - to make sure it's still there. It is.
Anyway, I walk into the cantina and I find a small group of adventurers. I ask the gentlemen there if they need a dancer.
They do.
So I don my bellydance outfit and get to it.
Not 5 seconds later, I receive a 3k tip from one of them and anotherbuffs my stamina (basically meaning I'll not have to rest or be healed for 2 hours).
Hello? Who says that going to adventure planets doesn't pay?
I arrive. I interact. I got a monster tip and a hugely beneficial buff out of the gate.
So I'm dancing away for a bit and I ask if anyone's a medic and/or would like mind buffs. Two chime in. So I /setperform on the first to speak up and off we go.
8 minutes later, I tell him that it's time to /stopwatch.
And he tips me 3000 credits. Now mind you, I never asked for anything. I just offered the buff and chatted (not flirted - CHATTED) while dancing. That's it.
*poof* trip paid for. And I wasn't coming here to dance but to check my harvs!
Hello? Who says that going to adventure planets doesn't pay?
So off I go for the other guy who wants the mind buff. Which is what I'm in the middle of right now.
In between those two mind buffs, three other people gave me 500 credit tips for mind and BF healing.
Hello? Who says that going to adventure planets doesn't pay?
It's silliness.
So to update... the second mind buff also tipped me 3000.
In the first 20 minutes on Dathomir, I've made double my round-trip costs.
From this point forward, I'll have a very hard time believing the crowd who says that entertaining on adventure worlds doesn't pay. I've made more in tips in 20 minutes here than I've made in 8 hours on any core world.
I'll also have a hard time swallowing that it's so imperative to abolish AFK dancers in Theed when all you have to do is get somewhere else that's free of AFK and earn a LOT more tips, meet a lot more interesting people, and probably have a lot more fun in the doing.
(*ding* there's another 500cr.)
Come on. Quit whining about how bad it is in Theed or whatever core world you're on. Get out there and do what you got the game to do - meet interesting people and dance your @$$ off!
2 hours. Over 50k in tips. Over 8k in healing experience.
Why are there 3,476,845 entertainers in Theed and only me here?
That's great! People in good groups on Dathomir and other adventure worlds are raking in the big bucks on missions, so they're likely to be in a generous mood.
Places like that are very, very good for getting your entertainer healing xp also.
Now that I've reached master dancer, I'm working on my combat skills a little more. When I meet a group on Dath or Dant we always stop in the cantina first. I hit them with a mind buff and it never fails that I end up healing some people hanging around in there, and they always tip. I may be gimpy as a combat player (for now), but I'm making the most money. Ha ha!
My only bad experience with a less populated cantina...one time I went to Tatooine, and I was in Mos Eisley on my way to Anchorhead.I go to the shuttleport, buy my ticket, and have 9 minutes to wait.A guy stops by and says, "Could you heal my mind wounds for a minute?" So I agree, we run to the cantina, I dance around a bit, and try to socialize. A few minutes later he says "that's it thanks" and runs out. No tip, no nothing. And I missed the **edit** shuttle. Grrr. Oh well, most customers are NOT like that.
A side note on Mos Eisley: wow that's a cool cantina. Why is Eisley such a ghost town? The cantina is full of NPC customers and even an NPC band!

You're right Sigrun. The rest of us who have been to adventure planets, and Dathomir specifically, and not made money there are all fools, morons or liars who simply don't know how to be entertainers. Lord Nyax bless you for showing us the error of our ways.
Hehe, I wish Bloodfin was like that.
This is Dantooine/Dathomir/Lok on Bloodfin:
Person: n e 1 a dancer?
Me: Sure, I can dance.
Person: hury up an dance
Person: i cant wait all day
*insert rude comment about dancers here*
Against my better judgement, I'd dance because there would be other people who need healing (ah, the days before /deny).
Every person in the cantina would run out without a word of thanks.
I have surrendered dance on Bloodfin. I have found on that people are alot nicer on Kettemore.
Although... with your experience... I should move to Naritus. hehe.
Hehe, well, I did have fun on Bloodfin from time to time.
I always did pretty well in Bestine...
But, I traded my dancer skill in for Image Design. I have more fun and I can get of the cantinas now. I was getting claustrophobic. Hehe.
My question is, did you go out and buy a lottery ticket? Because with luck like that, you'd be a shoe in to win.
Glad you got lucky. For $15 a month, I'm not going to play my game waiting to get lucky. If you are, more power to you. *golf clap*
