Dancer Archive
Thread: Why? Just one good reason
I like going out and having fun, and i like sitting in. I enjoy the fight, I used dancing in the past to earn money and help my follow players.
I just logged back in after nine months and the cantinas are empty, people can dance anywhere for the benifit, Our buff is amost a joke. You can get it from a musician anyway.
I think you have to luv to dance more than anything in the world to keep this Master. So thanks for answering my question, if the best you could up with is "do you like to dance" then there is really no benifit in it anymore. Thanks I'll miss it but I don't LUV it as much as you have to i guess.
Dancing and Music are things you have to do because you LOVE them, for themselves. Not as a means to some other end. It will always be more efficient to earn money some other way.

Trust me . . . Eshie's answer wasn't meant to be snide - it was simple, direct and to the point. It was just meant to make you think about your choices.
I became a dancer because I liked to dance, entertain, socialize - have fun. It wasn't a means to make money for me and it wasn't a way to helpothers in combat. Dance is what I do because I can't see myself doing anything else.
If you can't see yourself just dancing, then perhaps youshould look into other professions while the respec is still available for you to use. Don't be disappointed. Don't be upset. And certainly don't get defensive over simple questions and comments. We want you tohave fun playing the game by doing what gives you the most enjoyment. If that is something other than dance, so be it. We hope you will come into the cantinas and share some downtime with us!

If you need someone else to tell you why you still do something, then maybe it isn't for you.
Seriously. It's a game. Why stick with a class you're not sure if you like anymore, if you aren't enjoying it? The object of a game is to have fun.
After all, you pay for it. Why pay to be miserable?
So in all honesty, it DOES boil down to "Do you like it?". If you can't say "yes", then nothing any of us say will change your mind -- and none of us would try. It wouldn't be fair to you.

If you want to purely do the non combat profs I suppose there is no issue. Currently I feel anyone that wants to be a hybrid is going to have a rough time Everyone seems to be "level" aware now. Not to mention this new system undercuts health for non combat professions. I miss dancer and the difference between a hybrid social/combat and pure combat character is now night and day. I have tried various respecs.
- Myself
- Jedi Knight
- Jedi Padawan
- Master Ranger
